SasuKarin and SasuSaku are twin pairings. Nothing more, nothing less. If I hate one, I'll hate the other as well.

I can't consider asspulls as a positive thing because it goes against the theme of the manga for me.
  Me too. The "how SK is better than SS" arguments have always made me feel nauseated. It's okay to ship any pairing you want, but if you're going to bash a rival ship, make sure your ship doesn't have the same design.

Can i join in? i feel like im the only few ns fans that hates the comparison/parallels towards ns and sk. It just does not feel right ns should be a stand alone pairing.   

 

One of the main themes of NARUTO was hard work. It was emphasized again and again with Naruto's training, Rock Lee's appearance, Naruto's fight with Neji, Naruto's rivalry with Sasuke and so on.

However in part two, that theme seemed to have disappeared from the surface of the earth.....and all we see now is anything BUT hard work.

 

The only hard working characters is gai his momentum didn't even last that long naruto saved him from death. Sakura does have a momentum but that lasts only for 2 pages then she gets hinata-filed. The only difference is she didn't get k.oed very quickly and she has the seal that can heal her.

Hah...imagine that. Some claims that because there's a Zetsu inside of Sasuke, he doesn't show his real emotion. In short, the twist is Sasuke is not Sasuke. He's being controlled. I'll eat durian if that was true...

Well Sasuke for certain doesn't know that if that was the case because he didn't even knew that Karin was an Uzumaki he found out that from Kabuto in the Itachi Sasuke vs Kabuto battle so that rules out that possibility . But you never know with Oro he might just do that or as i like to think that Kushina is Karin's aunt i say both options  are possible . As for Mitto well she was an Uzumaki and one heck of a strong woman and we know so little about her all we know is that she had the Byakugou Seal on her forehead the same seal as Sakura and Tsunade , that she was the first Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi and had the same ability as Naruto to sense malevolence i personally want to see more of her and what she can do  . 

Okay so Sasuke's possibility is ruled out. Yeah, maybe Kushina and Karin are related. So, it can go the way as you said or as I stated. Well, we could see Karin's chakra chains just like Kushina and about Mito sensing malevolence thing, isn't it that Karin can detect chakra as well as its nature? I mean she can tell whether the chakra is warm or cold, good or sinister, right? It can be one of Mito's abilities and what Karin has is a lower version of Mito's ability, right? Whatever it is, it is made apparent that Karin has some connection with Kushina and if our theory is right, then probably she has a connection with Mito too! I mean, IMO our theory is not that far fetched and we have based it as close to the canon facts as possible.

She trails off and it's left unsaid, but MS and MP are right in that she's asking if he cares about her. They left the "about me" out for some reason though. So it's basically, "Sasuke-kun, do you care about me", although the care part is implied rather than directly asked. The "koto" (事) also means that she isn't just implying her well being, but that she wants to know where she stands with him in general, since him not seeming to care for her injury makes her question what he thinks about her.

 

I'm glad Sakura's coming to the realization that Sasuke doesn't hold her in high esteem. I think this could lead to a final confirmation of what she means to Sasuke (nothing). Finally she might get the final push to move on from him.

the aux た makes present perfect as well as past.

suku is an old-fashioned verb
好く suku, root form/present basic meaning is 'take a liking to'
好いたsui-ta, past/present perfect　
often used as an adj as in suita otoko =the man she fancies.

好いている sui-te-iru, present progressive that basically means 'be fond of'
好いていた sui-te-ita, past progressive/present perfect

Kakashi's already stated sakura loves sasuke differently than when she was little and Sasuke was an idol.
so no point to take the 'suite ita' as if she doesn't anymore.

like i said its either in the present perfect or the past progressive.
if 'the man who tried to kill sakura', it can be put as 'Sasuke who sakura was loving'.
if 'the man who has tried to kill sakura', it has to be 'Sasuke who sakura has loved/been fond of'.

I acknowledge that the SK/NS parallels are there -- though I kind of think it's more about the parallel between Naruto and Sasuke than NS and SK -- but the idea of holding SasuKarin as an equal to NaruSaku based on parallels... it's a little insulting. There just is no comparison. It would be preferable if NaruSaku  were allowed to stand on its own and not have to share the spotlight, so to speak.

 

After speaking to some fans in the SasuKarin thread, I understand a little more where they are coming from in ther support of the pairing, but my opinion of it is unchanged. I still see it as massively underdeveloped and poorly handled, especially in its treatment of Karin as a character. Anyways, don't want to start a SasuKarin debate here.

Uh, what?  I highly doubt Zetsu has anything to do with Sasuke's indifference, it's just the way he is. That theory is almost as bad as Obito being Madara's pathetic puppet.
