Her characterization has been terrible in comparison to Sakura's; the excuse that Kishi is bad at writing female characters doesn't exactly work with that sort of contrast. It's almost like she doesn't even care that Neji just died for her, especially in 616. I don't mean to sound bashy, but all she did was fangirl over Naruto. Seriously.

He is in front of her, his dead body is clearly visible and they just left him there. XD The sad moments were taken over by Rock Lee.

That actually really irritated me. It felt like Kishimoto turned Neji's death into a comedic event. I mean, the panel of Lee crying isn't exactly moving. Also, why are Tenten and Guy perfectly fine with it? I expected them to at least have the same kind of reaction that Shikamaru had when his father died. No tears, but he obviously looks hurt. Neji didn't get any of this from the people he was closest to. Not from Tenten, not from Guy, not even from Hiashi (?).
Like swagosaurus said, it felt like Hinata didn't even care that Neji died protecting her. She cried for him a little bit, but in the next chapter she was suddenly over it and fawning over Naruto's hand, like a fangirl. It bothers me so much. Neji was an awesome character. He deserves more respect than that.

I'm a shy and introverted girl (not the point of stuttering unless I have to do a speech int he middle of class or something XD). I was even moreso when I first started reading Naruto and actually, Hinata's shyness and introvertedness reminded me so much of myself back then that I outright hated her and everything she was.
I did like when she was trying to stand up for herself and do something, but I still hated that every time Naruto looked in her direction she would blush or every time she spoke she stuttered as if she were facing a crowd of hundreds.
Now-a-days, I feel I can't exactly blame her for being that way. Some people are just that shy and introverted, much more than I could ever be. By part 2, I thought she would have matured and found her own way and reason to be strong, but it turns out we left off exactly when we last saw her in part 1. I was not happy with her introduction at all. I also did not like that she was still leeching off of Naruto's strength or that she had resolved to earn Naruto's praise rather than become strong for her clan.
I guess that is also why I can't support Hinata and her dream. Her dream is not where I think Kishi should have taken her character. I think she would be much more fleshed out if instead we say her trying to impress her father or shine in front of her clan to earn their approval, but no, she just wants to shine for Naruto. :/ I hate girls like that, girls my age focusing on love so much and not on their family. Your family is usually much more important than and random crush you have.

Sig made by me though. XD

I remember mentioning this in one of my YT rants. It was something like "While Hinata acknowledges what she takes inspiration of(his nindo), Sakura acknowledges -what you mentioned"
Slextrem, I also think they got over his death too fast. It was almost like Guy and Tenten didn't need to get over it. And Hiashi was like "I've failed you, Hizashi.", then we got no more panels of him. The griefing progression should go like this: Shock - sadness - get back on your feet. They missed the first two parts, but I am impressed that Shikamaru made it in 5 sec.
And as kirabook said, Hinata is leeching Naruto's strength. It's OK to be inspired, but Naruto is basically her lifeforce. She needs to do something for herself.

they portray Hinata in a better way than the manga , I can't even conside episode 166 as a canon since they totally twisted her confession making it seem much more heroic than it actually was and Naruto and Hinata have some moments in fillers episodes ... He even saw her naked!!!!

Ah yes. Filler hell. Good times, good times...But seriously, maybe it was filler hell that created it or at least boost it, even though Naruto is always dense and a lot of them are really throw away, whereas recent ones are like effort into it which happened to have some NS. Funny how it works, no?

The worst is her confession. Hmm..so she actually had a fight with Pain(no, it was slaughter), was bullied(No, Sakura was).
In the manga, the way she was portrayed when she stepped in was that she was going to kill herself, and she needed to get the confession of her chest before she would die in front of Naruto's eyes. In the manga, it looked to me like she was just stupid and thought she would be a challenge to Pain.
The editors notes are also partly to blame. Many people don't know Kishi doesn't write them. They're full of NH.

I'm with you there. Studio Pierrot has admitted that they have a lot of Hinata fans on staff, so it makes sense that they include her in so many of the fillers and have done little things to make her moments seem larger than they were in the manga. For example, her confession episode.
The confession itself was maybe 4 pages with some flashbacks of her watching Naruto, then Hinata charges at Pein and is down and out in one panel. In the episode though, they added in that filler story about Hinata being bullied and Naruto coming to her rescue, extended her fight with Pein, let her actually land a hit on him, had her break some of the chakra rods in Naruto, she was given top notch animation, plus she got her own ending during that arc. That is very, very, misleading stuff, Studio Pierrot. I don't care how many Hinata fans are on your staff. Shame on you!
Honestly though, I feel sorry for the fans of Hinata that only watch the anime. They've been given this misconception that Hinata is the heroine of the series and it's all because of what they've seen in the anime. Imagine their surprise when they read the manga and see just how small of a role Hinata actually plays in the series.
That being said, it's also no wonder that so many anime fans dislike Sakura. For one, they're always using her punches as comic relief, so she's beating on Naruto far more than she ever has in the manga. Then, for a while, they were doing fillers that took place back in Part One, where Sakura is still fangirling over Sasuke.
Has the anime team been better lately? Yes, but they still show their bias every now and then.
That's why I don't really watch the anime anymore. SP ruined it for me. Although, I do enjoy the Rock Lee Springtime of Youth series.

They were just standing and looking at Lee with Neji in his arm...
Sometimes, I think about it and the only thing that comes to my mind is that he just wants to show Lee's reaction more than Tenten and Gai.
There's still 2 months and a half. Great XD, it's not very far from now.

This panel really grossed me out when I noticed Neji just laying there.
Neji just teleported, he was behind Naruto now he was in front of him.
This translation is wrong, it's saying that the chakra belongs to Naruto not "Naruto-kun".
The drawing is ugly too, Naruto looks horrible and FAT.

Yeah, even the games didn't make a big deal. I remember I play the game and then out of nowhere, Hinata got stabbed and that's it. I was like, "Um, where's that confession?" They sure kept the hug but not confession? Ok, works for me. But yeah, anime still has that favoritism in them, but oh well, as long they don't interfere Naruto's life. Play all you want with Hinata, but mess with the plot. Relevent plot (sorry for anti).
Oh cool. Hopefully, if we get a good note on NS, this movie won't be awkward to watch. If 615 did have a follow up to make NH 95% canon, oh man, I don't even know if I should watch it.
