Sakura sounds more like the trophy than Sasuke apparently ever was when you put it like this...

 

I don't think that portrayal is problematic for SS fans, which is really sad. They'll spin it as the fact that she has such deep and profound love/respect for Sasuke. Yuck.

Or maybe its meaning is underscoring that Sasuke is to be respected. (Like even though he's outside of the village there are still people who will protect him.) Sakura is free to do her own thing, but nobody messes with her man.
 
Anyway, if I'm understanding the implications right,  that it's an old-fashioned term of connection, there's got to be a reason why it's there instead of 'honey' or 'love' or 'sweetheart,' or something more personal.
 
And my bet is that if it immediately draws to mind a geisha/master reference for Japanese speakers, then it's meant to be a statement that it's like an old-fashioned relationship. 
 
I don't know. These are all hunches. It's just a weird term, there must be a reason for it. And maybe as English speakers, most of us aren't getting it.

Keep in mind that this is both Kishi and Sakura, you might be looking too deep into it lol the entire SS dynamic Sakura being selfish and taking Sasuke'a bull, this just fits right in line with that. It's not about being old fashioned, it's about her turning weak and pathetic whenever Sasuke is around, because she doesn't have any self respect. This is SS through and through.

I wouldn't expect them to think it was problematic. I mean, these are the same people who are ok with the fact that Sasuke has attempted to kill Sakura on multiple occasions, and the same people who try and justify the fact that Sasuke hasn't seen his daughter since she was born. The only thing that matters is SasuSaku getting some fake ass happy ending that won't make an ounce of sense just like the rest of the story.

The happy ending was so clear right from the start. All this "who's my daddy" drama was so clearly an attempt to stir up some drama for this awful project.

Lol, Gaiden's a thirst trap for drama. Once they get done with clearing up the whole "whose Salad's mother" mess, they'll just start dealing with Bolt's daddy issues right after that, since it's obvious that he still hates Naruto. It's a never ending cycle

I think the problem isn't the city itself but the lack of explanation of how such a  modern city was builtin so little time and how technology advanced so much (AKA smartphones during the last movie )

This panel is irrelevant when it comes to Kishi's nonsensical writing method and means nothing to the SS fans who adopt the Machiavellian approach of the end justifying the means. So long as they're together, it's irrelevant whether or not Sasuke cares for or acknowledges Sakura in any way. "True love", indeed. (Besides, the "forehead poke" panel was drawn to make this panel go away. )

If Naruto's love for Sakura was due to his rivalry with Sasuke, Wouldn't that mean that Naruto would try his best to win Sakura's heart instead of putting her happiness before his own and try to get Sasuke back so Sakura could be happy ??

 

Sakura was so emotional when Sai told her that Naruto loved her. How can the same Sakura say that his love for her was due to a petty rivalry ??

If Sakura married Naruto it would have been a happy and healthy marriage. They would treat each other as equals. And their kids would be the cutest.

Hey Sarada instead of complaining about your real mom, how about you show some appreciation for the mom you have had for over 12 years of your life?

 

Hey Bolt, instead of complaining that your dad doesn't spend enough time with you, how about you thank him for the actual time he seems to be spending time training you. Oh and hey...instead of giving that lunch to Sarada to give to your dad, why didn't you bring it yourself to your dad...you know since you complain he doesn't spend enough time with you.
