^ Well he obviously didn't forget her too much, she's been in the recent chapter tongue.gif

Yeah, of course she will show up from time to time, but I wouldnt expect any spectacular actions from her. Kishi, why do you treat your female characters like crap?

I think the next few chapters will just focus on Edo Tensei Madara. I believe he will be defeated first before Tobi because the 5 kages are fighting him right now. For Tobi's fight, the K11 backup is on the way so it won't be starting anytime soon. So Sakura will be out of the story for a little while longer.

I just hope that after he realised that he forgot about her he will give her some cool moment. I also hope for some NS moment, since during this war arc we could see that Sakura is still in love with Sasuke, Hinata is confident that she will hold Narutos hand after the war (I would give anything for Naruto thinking the same thing about Sakura rolleyes.gif ), and NS have nothing. Thats not fair. dry.gif

Think of it this way. You're a writer and you have 3 possible pairings to choose to be canon. But you've already chosen a pair to end with. You must give a resolution to all 3 pairings rather than keep the other 2 hanging. So which pairs should you focus on first? Are you going to finish your chosen pairing in the middle of the story or near the end?

Only thing is, mangareaders translation seems to be more heartfelt when she says "We'll be together this time, and not just me, all of us" etc.

This is why I'm not too happy with Viz. Sakura's words in the unofficial translation conveyed more feelings than this one.

Sure, Kishi has to feed NH fans from time to time, but did he really need to put such strong, confident words into Hinatas head in order to do that? Nope, he didnt. Thats what I dont like about it.

^ So if he does that I will lose all my respect for him, Hinata is a side character if he could ignore Sakura the main lead girl, when she was confident that Sasuke will be hears, why in the hell will he force Hinata on Naruto? what make Hinata that special?

@merryGOflava
You are saying that Naruto must be a bastard I don't think so, I want NaruSaku but not that way she already make it clear that she likes him and she is not dead.
He needs to replay and he need to be clear He will gave her a chance or he will thank her for her feelings but expline her that he already love someone else his heart belongs to Sakura-chan...

I think he will make it clear that he alreado have strong feeling for someone else and he is not fear to be with her loving another girl the way he do, plus he respect her and she deserve someone who can loves her the same way that someone is not him...

Thats a great closure for Naruto and Hinata character in reference to the NH.

I gotta tell ya, that sounds like it'd be very clear, you know? smile.gif It'd definitely would give closure to Hinata's character and her need to rely on Naruto in the long haul to help her when she's shown confidence when he's not around. Besides, Naruto obviously still loves Sakura a lot, even if he hasn't shown it in a long time due to all the insanity going on.

You can say the same thing all you want, but when it comes down to it is this:

The people who work for Viz are just professional translators, which means they get paid to translate. The people who work for scanlation groups; the people on this board who translate raw scripts; the people who are not only fluent in Japanese, but ARE Japanese, that some of us talk to in order to double check these things; etc etc etc... These are also all translators. They just do it for free.

^ This.

I'm not saying that one is inferior to the other. What I mean is that none loses credit to the other.

?? why would naruto be that???

so what hinata likes him??? lee confessed to sakura also and hes still not getting anything. and hes still alive biggrin.gif and also risked his life for sakura.

all sakura said to lee was "thank you" same with naruto and hinata, he said "thank you" didnt he? smile.gif good enough
heck it was the same with sasuke and sakura....that "thank you" line is all you need.

he doesnt need to do all that. theres a good chance hinata wont be shown alot in the next 20 chapters anyway. im sorry if im sounding cocky or whatever. but really....naruto doesnt need to do all that. he just needs to focus on fighting the good battle.

i dont know whats going on in hinata's head, but she should have got the message when sakura hugged naruto.

Now imagine that after selflessly loving Sakura for such a long time she just up and went to be with Sasuke. What is the message here? The guy who tries his best can never get the girl he likes no matter what? It feels kinda sad to me. Shouldn't this type of character for once get the girl in this story? Kishi didn't have to make Jiraiya love Tsunade or Obito love Rin (or even Rin love Kakashi) for his story to make sense. In all honesty it took me by surprise when they both revealed their feelings right before their deaths.

Why reveal that both loved their respective female teammate right in the end if not for some purpose.

I've been wondering about this. What if a teammate reveals his feelings for Hinata when it seems like the end? Like, say, Kiba?

It would give Kiba's rivalry with Naruto deeper meaning and dimension, and maybe Hinata would finally have a flash of insight that a one-sided affection for Naruto isn't the only thing in the world, or the only possibility for her.

IDK. It seems like a stretch, but at the same time.... At this point I can't see any believable way for NH to happen, and considering Hinata's kindness and popularity in the fandom, I don't see Kishimoto breaking her heart. She's either going to have to let go of her romantic dream of Naruto in an act of martyrdom, or it's going to have to be replaced with a new romantic dream. (Of course, her dream could be replaced with a lot of things -- things that would be more mature and appropriate -- but her character seems to revolve solely around romance.)

Kiba would be the most logical choice, and in a lot of ways his personality is similar to Naruto's. Plus Kiba, of all the guys, has the patience and experience to deal with women, lol.

Just a thought.

Hmm, not only do the facts show that she's in, or falling in love with him. (Either subconsciously, to where others notices it or where she herself notices it) but it's been like that for quite some time. Even since part 1 where she was questioning "this feeling" she felt for Naruto. Ever since their bond just grew. And tell me why she lept on Naruto to save him from Zabuza, instead of anyone else?

Another point I'd like to bring up is recently a similar thing happened when the kage summit arc, the reuiniting with Sasuke. She could of called out Sasukes name if she was truly worried about his well being, and loved him so. But no, he called out Narutos name. To me, that gives a GREAT perspective on who she really cares for more

You know... I've been having this "thought" ever since reading about Japanese customs...

You see, when you use terms like "-kun", "-san" and "-chan", you define those people as friends, but politely.

If you drop them, it means that they are very close friends, or even more than friends.

My question is... When has Sakura referred to Naruto as "Naruto-kun"? I all of the translations so far, whenever she's thinking of him or talking to him, she just says "Naruto" (Of course, this may not be noticeable in the English anime, but it can be noticed in the Japanese sub)

So if she doesn't use those terms, isn't that a sign that she sees Naruto as something more than a friend, or at least, as a very close friend (even closer than Sasuke-kun)?

...just a thought.

I'll just do a little definitions here but, also Sakura has never called Naruto with a honorific before.

San- Is a title of respect typically used between equals of any age

Chan- It expresses that the speaker finds a person endearing. In general, chan is used, but is not limited to, babies, young children, grandparents and teenage girls. It may also be used towards cute animals, lovers, close friends, any youthful woman, or even between friends.

Kun- Is used by persons of senior status in addressing or referring to those of junior status, or by anyone when addressing or referring to male children or male teenagers. It can also be used by females when addressing a male that they are emotionally attached to or have known for a long period of time.

Sama- Is a markedly more respectful version of san. It is used mainly to refer to people much higher in rank than oneself, toward one's customers, and sometimes toward people one greatly admires.

well kinda...and not really......

i guess for terms like san....and maybe even kun......maybe

chan however is used among friends......(im sure)

i mean you dont see naruto calling hinata...ino...and tenten chan right??

heck naruto has NO honorific for hinata, ino or tenten does that mean he likes them more?

kun and san is used to show respect. like lee saying...naruto-kun and sakura-san.
chan is used (IMO) for fun i guess XD...i always thought it was for cute things.

little sakura respected sasuke, so she called him sasuke-kun. (shes just used to it now i guess)

little sakura probably felt that naruto was on the same level or lower than her so she called him...naruto biggrin.gif or maybe she just didnt think about it XD

Ah, right! You have a point there.

Well, considering that Naruto is like a kid with lack of manners, I understand that he refers to others with terms like these (I only remember calling Sakura, Kakashi, Yamato by titles... and maybe other I've forgot)

I just found it kinda weird on Sakura I guess... sweat.gif
