I remember Toriyama did claim in the very recent interview that he is terrible at romance or rather has no skills on it, so he just pair them and call it a day. It was from Battle of Gods interview. That's what I read. Funny, because I think in terms of leading to canon, Gohan and Videl was the best one he did, but that does explain others and not explain. Sure he can do ok with interaction AFTER they get together, but long-term development, nope.

Oh yeah, that was pretty funny. Naruto going crazy wondering if Kakashi was lost forever while Kurama is just chillin.
Admittedly I do find the comedy during the battles to be pretty funny. The consequence, at least for me, is that it diminishes the seriousness of the situation and what's at stake. This is the decisive battle to decided the fate of the shinobi world, but I just don't feel the intensity of it thanks to the side comedy.
But maybe that's my own fault for trying force excessive seriousness to it. After all this is a story with a young teen demographic so maybe I should read it in a more light hearted approach.
I completely agree with you concerning how the comedy diminishes the necessary seriousness of the war. Of course some comedic relief may be necessary to lighten the dark, dramatic mood from time to time, however the comedy is not balanced. Sometimes there's too much of it which makes it seem like the stakes of the situation are not raised high enough. This excessive comedy may even serve to kill the suspense needed to keep the audience on the edge of their seat.
I wouldn't blame yourself for "forcing excessive seriousness to it." This is a war after all so it's only normal to expect a heavy, dramatic tone from time to time even if it's aimed at teens.
Show our maturity and comfort them is the right way to go for sure.
I'm glad you think so! Although condescendingly rubbing it in their faces may be satisfactory to few for a short while, it's certainly the wrong way to go for it will show how childish and disrespectful our fanbase can be. With that being said, I kindly ask the NS fanbase to be respectful to our opponents and do their best to suppress the urge to laugh in NH's faces if NS becomes canon. It's best to calm the beast rather than instigate it.
"Suck it and see."

It's really good to see such mature post within this community. Although we are one most hated communities of all Naruto Fanbase, we don't necessarily need to fight fire with fire. And I can easily say one of the main reasons I've joined this forum is because it doesn't have any "anti-something" threads. Kudos to you all.
One a side note, I believe we are the ones who are going to receive the most visits the day NS becomes canon, not the other way around. While yes, I'll not gonna rub it on their faces, I still gonna celebrate. By a lot. I'm human after all.

Well, looks like I was quoted many times. Time to respond.
Legend of Korra.
To be honest, as you quoted it later, it's just an exaggerated impression. I still felt the disappointment from that one arc, but the troll probably started to happen when Kubo kept pulling a plot twist after plot twist after plot twist. After all, it was Aizen. Yeah, you're right about the number, but if the troll doesn't get me, it's the disappointment that does. Off-screen strongest member death? Really. Anyway, yeah, that's my short nutshell story.
Yeah, I can understand what you mean about shipping in series. I just think we probably take it to the pedestal on certain moments. The weird part is that Japan doesn't see it like we do at most times. So what does that tells us? No clue, but we will know. One thing to address is that many of evidences and/or moments or should I say "moments" will be destroyed once the cat is out of the bag or however you say it. Basically, many of them could turn into friendzoned moments or even a new meaning. For example, looking back at 573, it didn't feel anything that I once remember. For whatever reason, I see it much differently. Maybe I'm the only one, but to me, nothing screams romance. So in this next volume, whatever happens, it's going to change a lot for many of us.
I forget, who died off-screen?
You mean Hinata's monlogue or Sakura's, because Sakura's was never meant to be romantic, rather show how much she supports Naruto and not just her, but everyone does.

I just hope that the day NS becomes canon, NS fans will be decent and self-composed mostly like always towards them if they talked in a not respectable way.

^ I'm not really worried about it. Even the non-shippers know the majority of our ship are quite mature.

But in the past, I feel at least, that Kishimoto treated the battles with a bit more seriousness. Naruto vs Gaara, Naruto vs Sasuke at the Valley of the End, Sakura and Chiyo vs Sasori, Naruto vs Pein; but I suppose that's the result of a battle that's go on so long. And yeah, I'll admit that some of the comic relief has been funny, but other times it feels a bit inappropriate and misplaced.
I wasn't around and reading Naruto when those previously mentioned battles were currently taking place, so I'm only guessing that with didn't go on as long as this one.

It's been a few days since I logged only to have to catch up with 15 pages of new comments. My computer wasn't working well, and had to restore it, losing all my stuff in the process. Well, my computer is finally working normally again, and I've got all my programs up again. Now, I have to re-find years worth of anime images lost due to the restore. Let's see what I missed. This will be long post due to all the responses, so please bear with me.
@Question22 and Hanabi
I love your respective avatars and sigs.
I've been waiting to see this for a long while. I believe it was before Sakura met Ino, when she met Naruto before.
LoK?
I read Bleach, and I still don't understand why people call Kubo a troll.
That's a common mistake shippers fall into. We get so hooked on our pairings that we don't care much about the main story other than seeing them together. I myself never really got that bad to dismiss the story outright, but in some cases, the pairings were the main reason I watched the show, and when my ship sank, I lost interest. I still finished them, but I lost most of my interest, and it became a chore to watch. Princess Lover was one such example.
Well, to be fair, in hindsight, the manga stated all the Espada had single digits. It wasn't really a spur of the moment plot device. I never watched Reborn, so I don't know about that one.
Bolded: Yeah, but even so, you have to apply what you've seen so far, and make reasonable speculation. I shipped a pair in this 15 minute anime series, but halfway through I had to realize it would happen rarely, because they hardly have any screen time together in that amount of time, especially compared with another character. I still shipped them, but I wasn't surprised when my ship sank at the very end. I was upset, but I understood why it didn't happen. The other couple got together, but it ended tragically, and the ending to the anime wasn't much of ending as it was left with a "the fight continues" kind of ending. The show had many problems in itself that my shipping was only one of my grievances in watching.
Reminds of this Inuyasha fanfiction I read where Kagome hurts Inuyasha beyond repair, and he ends up with someone else, married with a kid. Also, Kagome gets bashed constantly, throughout the whole thing, by mostly everyone. All because the author had a problem with the "sits".
I would compare that synonymously with all the Sesshomaru X Kagome fanfiction still being written today.
Show our maturity and comfort them is the right way to go for sure.
I can't remember when I first got me into romance. Shipping was much earlier, during when pokemon was airing on KidsWB, but what got me into the romance genre was. . . the closest thing I can remember was either Yusuke and Keiko from Yu Yu Hakusho; or Inuyasha and Kagome from Inuyasha (my third time mentioning that anime).
Aww, Soul and Maka never got together? By the way, I love your sig.
We all see that coming, right when the Jubi mess is settled and both Madara, and Obito are defeated. Though how you can even defeat Madara is anyone's guess.
Doesn't mean he can't have a good ol' punch to the face first.
No matter what she does. The ones who want to hate her will still hate her. It's unfortunate, but what can you do.
The bolded especially.
First bolded: The Legend of Korra; Edit: 4Life beat me to it.
Second bolded: No, unfortunately they did not. But they did hold hands for nearly an entire chapter 615 can't top that. And thanks, I had to have Darkness help me shrink it so it would be within the new signature rules.

Given what fans on Yahoo! who are neutral in pairing war said on this http://answers.yahoo...24075006AAbdXws I don't think we will have this problem.

I know the majority of NS fans are mature. I meant for those who bottled up the frustration inside of them and wants to get avenged when NS is official.

same here bra I might even throw a celebration party . I must say this pairing is the only pairing I have ever felt so strongly about . I guess because Naruto reminds me so much of myself and Sakura-Chan reminds me so much of the one I love .
