This sucks. Shuu is like a guy who finally freed from prison after 20 years, only to see too much has changed. This really sucks.

Paralleling? Like what? He really hasn't paralleled anything. He's foreshadowed a conflict between the two via a fight, but nothing else really...

He paralleled the chapter cover from Tokyo Ghoul with the one from re. He paralleled Shuu walking away from Sasaki crying in re with Kaneki walking away from Shuu in Tokyo Ghoul. Not really a parallel, but the spoilers does have Shuu realizing why he couldn't stop Kaneki from participating in the Anteiku raid in TG, since he's about to lose his family in a kind of similar situation. I see it as parallels, but not everyone will I guess.

It's kinda sad that now everything became more predictible. Like MC characters now are established, and death's are pretty unreal at this moment, only with huge build up.

It's kinda sad that now everything became more predictible. Like MC characters now are established, and death's are pretty unreal at this moment, only with huge build up.

 

I don't agree with this, the story is still expanding but we have a lot of factors from the original TG that are unaccounted for and we don't know how they will play out

 

examples: Organization V, Rize, Kanou & Eto's plans, the mystery of district 14 ( or something like that...), CCG being involved with something shady...

But what you talking about is expanding of world, making another lever of lore, what I mean, there is no such things as "sudden death" anymore.

Agreed.

This story is the first of old friends fighting each other with a different mindset, which we didn't get that from the last arc since Hinami stepped in on her own while Sasaki was down. Now, he's against his friend that he's unaware if not, do what he will do.

You never know. In here, it's more like old friends under different mindset fighting more so than a normal raid story. So basically, that's the focus, more so than anything goes. Though Eto and the higher ups may provide that so time will tell. It's more of who will die now, rather than who will die.

An author has to be careful with these things since it might look like he is killing a central character purely for shock factor

We can always pull a Neji. Maybe that way we can have Sasaki go out with Matsumae because well that "Neji" died.
