I don't care about that canon at all. I don't care about the Naruto that played Sakura, I care about the Naruto that didn't. I only care about pre-698. Although Sakura was sh*t then too. The world is going under and she's worrying if Sasuke-kun loves her, can't speak properly in his presence, and crumbles by his insults. :( Hope you get my point tho. I care about the characters as they were, not what they became. They were ripped off any agency, for milk babies and crackships. They're not the same. This ending defies the canon rest of the manga. Even the artstyle is different. I don't get how the hottest parents in the village got that corny ass in the end, and Sasuke isn't even a duckbutt anymore.

 

Since it's so obvious that the ending was not Kishi's idea, I think it's best for me to ignore it as it is not the real deal.

I completely agree. The only way SaiIno looks good is if NS happens. If NS happens, and SaiIno happens, then that means that she actually got over Sasuke (and that's a stretch, because neither her or Sakura were ever in love with Sasuke, so there was never anything to get over), and that she found real love with someone that hasn't ever known it. However, with this ending, Ino became a tramp that used Sai because he looks like a Wal-mart knockoff of Sasuke. Instead of teaching someone like Sak what real love is, she ends up using Sai to fulfill her fangirl fantasies because she lost to Sakura. Sai is nothing more than a similar face to her, and I feel terrible for the guy that he be used in such a manner. Ino is just as disgusting as Sakura.

 

When you think about it, the ending is actually a pretty realistic representation of life: everyone is pretty much awful and selfish.

 

That's false . She basically measured them and their ***** in her IT dream  her lust for hot guys fighting over her that's Ino's love how is that not canon or overly shallow !?   .  

 

That IT dream probably bothered me the most. Way to portray Ino as a completely worthless person, Kishi.

I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with the criticism raised against temari's character in the shikamaru novel.

 

what i saw was a woman who just got told by a person she admired, respected, worked well with in the past, AND crushed on, that he can't count on her. i think it's a pretty human reaction to get a little teary-eyed (i mean it's not like she started bawling and begged to be trusted). it'd be one thing if we saw temari as very anti-crying, but from what i've picked up is temari was always a bit cocky, but not necessarily afraid of her emotions (she was terrified of gaara when introduced). so i don't think she would be incapable of crying in such a situation. 

 

i know it was said that temari has never been shown crying in the manga before, but we've never seen her get told off by someone she liked before either...also i don't really understand why a 'strong female' like temari gets called OOC for getting teary-eyed in an understandable situation to be upset in, but naruto and the other boys are criticized for NOT crying or being discouraged from being upset? i mean is it my interpretation of the situation? i will admit that i am a sensitive girl and if someone spoke to me like how shikamaru spoke to temari i'd insult them, run away and cry my eyes out too (oh no my argument has gotten personal ).

 

but seriously, the fault i find in that excerpt was with shikamaru for being a full-blown bastard (the writer is OBVIOUSLY trying to write him as cool but is failing because he comes across as a jerk). i thought temari's reaction was reasonable and hoped shikamaru would see that MAKING PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT CRY is a kitten thing to do...he should've known that anyway.

 

anways my point is, i see no oocness on temari's end(but if someone could explain how temari is ooc i would be willing to listen). but i see numerous problems with shikamaru's character which clearly ties back to the 'men are strong and emotionless' thing naruto now has going on.

I don't know I think most of them all look pretty bad. Especially Naruto. I'd say Tsunade looks better than Sakura though, I mean she seems younger than ever now lol.

The OOC part is that Temari NEVER lets other guys talk down on her. SHE is the one who talks down on them. And if they do, she'd laugh it off. There were times Shikamaru slighted her, like saying, "I can't allow a woman to protect me", but she got right back at him with "stop acting strong. I can see right through your act" giving zero kittens.

Well if LeeSaku actually did happen I think a lot of people here would be pretty disappointed still, but you have to admit it'd be a lot better than this disaster of an ending.

She wasn't "pretty" in that pic, that's not Sakura in my opinion. Breast size doesn't really matter, nor it must justify anything at all.

Me: NO it wasn't because of a pairing, the little girl who I felt so bad for during her fight against Neji the little girl who wanted to become the clan leader. Not only did that little girl break my heart of all the development she could've gained, but she also destroyed the series for me. However none of that matters to me because I severed my ties with this series a long time ago.

True. I'd be sad, but I'd be perfectly fine with the fact that Sakura is actually happy. That's all I've wanted for her in the first place, but I couldn't be granted that, now could I
