In light of this response, I'm going to elaborate on what I mean. I don't think Bush is anywhere near as bad as 70% of this thread thinks nor do I think his "evils" are self evident, which is precisely what your response suggests. I wonder if you'd let me get away with such an empty response if I did the same in regards to Obama?
I simply meant that when Strange asked that question likely knew her response before he even asked. Shauna has previously explained why she hates Bush and most of the arguments that she's brought up have been made by numerous posters and pundits many times over.
All I know is if I ask a question like Strange's from someone who views are known, I'm probably testing them for substance.

*blinks* I don't 'hate' Bush. What would be the point of hating a politician. They're all weasels at heart. It would be like hating the snake for biting you and infecting you with its venom, sometimes slowly killing you. The snake can't help its nature. The same way politicians can't.
I don't 'like' Bush. Let's get that point straight right off. I don't like his politics. I don't like many of the things he did to ruin this country, and hurt its people. But I certainly don't hate the man.

I agree with this, it does feel like a lot of republican hate is going in this thread.

Once again, not hate. Displeasure. And we're allowed to voice our displeasure. Everyone after all, is entitled to their opinions. I'm also none-too-pleased with the Democrats right now either. I can express that displeasure as well.

I didn't say you couldn't express yourself, by all means follow your heart. I was just agreeing with Nate on the overall atmosphere of the Republican displeasure in this thread. I also wasn't pointing fingers or didn't mean to at Cloud in any way.

You miss my point.
I expect a lot of Republican hate, dislike, displeasure, or whatever word you choose to use. Most of the people that post in this thread are Democrats/Liberals/Progressives (whatever term you wish to use, not going to debate which is the most applicable for any given person), so I'd be foolish to expect any other result. Same as NF. It's not something I have a problem with and is one reasons that I do post in this thread.
The posters nor the mods are obligated to refrain from expressing that so that the displeasure expressed is somehow balanced. H&E has no fairness doctrine.

The whole point of my response to Cloud was to be clear why I thought Strange's question was unnecessary and to be clear that it had nothing to do with my feelings on Bush. I objected because I'll bet Strange, like me, has heard virtually all the standard arguments against him and expected to hear them again before he even asked the question.
Cloud acted like question was stupid for an entirely different reason. I only wanted to clarify my own reason and that I disagreed with his implied one.

I would have thrown him under a bus too, and this story is about a guy who was trying to get money out of the treasury for bin linden kid which I think is a catch 22.

Look, its North Korea. If they cared about anything, it's what Kim Jong-Il tells them to care about. Nukes and more nukes.
The guy is happy to have WWIII start, becausing his cancer-laced fingers are ready to press the red button. Between this and the unrest in Thailand, protests in the Okinawan military base....
I say we're pretty close to teetering over the edge. China is the major power player here for solving the tension between the Koreans. But hey, it's China! A bit too unpredictable.
Keep your little nuke-happy buddy on a leash, China. Otherwise, I'm here

I remember a while back the President of China told Kim Jong-Il he'll stop the food supplies and other goods to North Korea, that shut ed him up for a while.

On North Korea, it looks like the North is trying to keep itself a menace meaning that they've either finally lost it or Lil' Kim is getting worse health wise. But South Korea's president was elected with a hard stance on the North they're losing patience. We might forget about it in a week or the worse case we'll resume the Korean war and Seoul will be on fire from bombardment. 30 miles from the DMZ, not the best spot for your largest metropolitan area.

The minute Apple signed the deal with AT&T they screwed their own product, if they would've offered to all providers they would have a larger market.

With Oil Spills, the Korean War entering its 3000 week, and the Middle East conflict still in its...6000 years. There is always one thing that can lighten up the hearts of Americans.

Oh and
South Carolina
But he still won the chance to represent the state in the US midterm elections in November with more than 100,000 votes.
