Before you met Hokuten and the NaruSaku FC, right?

Yeah, a lot of people did assume that it would be NaruHina and SasuSaku after looking at who the girls liked. The way Kishimoto showed Sakura developing feelings for Naruto was very subtle at first, gradually growing in strength until... boom! 245.

I admit I was surprised at how fast it happened, but I was steeling myself for another round of love triangles. I did suspect that the NaruSakuSasu triangle was shattered after seeing 236, though.

I can't wait for 246, Keira-chan! I won't be looking for hints (lol), but it will be fantastic to see how Naruto and Sakura work together against Kakashi. What tricks will they come up with?

BTW, there's only one debate thread in NarutoForums. It's the Pairings Thread in the Naruto General section - Mel-chan (occasionalutopia) said that the admins were asked to delete any other pairings debates, just to make sure it's under control and all in one tidy thread.

Someone (not from NaruSaku FC) already posted saying that Sakura clearly likes Naruto a lot now!

We already have one new member now, hehe, Sori-chan. It's so pleasing to see a lot of guys REALLY like the older Sakura and how she acts. I think their main gripe was the "Sasuke-kun" thing, and she has now got rid of that - she is also thinking lots of nice thoughts about Naruto, how he looks, how strong he is, and the guy he is.

lol, Naruto just needs to learn tact then he's perfect for Sakura. Poor Sakura is going to have to teach him how to treat women...

Saying that Sasuke is the most popular means he is invincible of death is stupid.. Kishimoto can do anything he wants.. there like saying that the fans has more control then the writer himseft over who dies or lives or whatever relation...

If he kept reading the SAME chapter, at page 18, it explains why Naruto likes Sakura...

...Naruto is still as immature as he was before. Also, we haven't had the subject of Sasuke popup yet, so we don't know if Sakura is still in love with Sasuke. Besides, she still called him an idiot, moron, and she yelled at him that he haven't changed when he showed Konohamaru his perfected Sexy no Jutsu....

If a girl doesnt react to what Naruto does, either she is slow or not normal..

....Besides, Naruto accepted that fact when he left to get Sasuke with the others. Any interest he had with Sakura was probably an attention seeker, since Sakura was one of the most popular characters in the shinobi school. When your a lone kid like Naruto, you do anything possible for attention. Having some thing where you go after the popular person is one of the things that people like Naruto would do. That doesn't mean he loves her. She was his teammate, so their was a comrade bond between them. ....

If this person was talking about what happened after Naruto was forced to run away, I think their refering to an anime filler because that never happened in the manga(Smiter will probably clarify just in case I'm mistaken). She still doesn't know that Naruto was actually Henge-ing as Sasuke.

You guys are doing a good job picking holes in those silly statements.

Arashi is correct - the "Sakura yells at Naruto for being stupid" part was an anime filler. The actual chapter ended with Sakura feeling bad about how she treated Naruto and thinking he must have felt that way.

The anime filler took the impact away. :/

And, I would like to counter with:

"OK, can you please show me the real basis for Sakura's feelings for Sasuke? Also, can you show me WHERE Sasuke shows anything more than comradeship towards Sakura? WHERE he is shown thinking about her alone?"

Of course Sakura would hit Naruto! She's there to keep him in line! If Hinata was there at the "Sexy no Jutsu" scene in 245, she would not have done anything - she'd just blush. She would not have told Naruto off - so he would never think he did anything wrong. He would just keep behaving the same way.

Now, with Sakura. Naruto would learn that he didn't do the right thing, and try to avoid doing that in future! One example is the "toilet scene" in the Forest of Death. You should never urinate in front of a lady. Hinata would never have said anything...

But Sakura told him off, and he went behind the bushes!

The SasuSakus and NaruHinas will always come up with excuses. Let's just enjoy 245 and watch the manga sail towards canon NaruSaku... There's nothing they can do to change its course, save for abducting Kishimoto and replacing him with a poor artist/writer.

I'm sorry to sound harsh, but Airichan is the only one who has EVER p***ed me off in a debate, because she kept getting her facts wrong and blaming "her sources" (meaning she can never accept responsibility), as well as posting personal insults. She even edited posts in an attempt to try and make others look like they were misquoting her.

She's probably now flicking through the entire manga trying to find something to counter 245.

The funny thing is, they keep referring to random chapters to rebutt NaruSaku evidence. But the thing is, NaruSaku has a smooth progression throughout the manga - it's a nice, neat line throughout the whole story and you can see things change with time. Trying to refer to old chapters isn't going to change what happened, nor disprove anything.

Sorry, Airichan. Haruno Sakura finally opened her eyes. I guess we were reading the manga right, huh?

The more I read the translations, the more I think it's starting to slant towards Sakura starting to like Naruto, and Naruto being oblivious (as usual).

Faucon, she never disclosed her "sources" but I suspect they were just fictional. She always said that she got manga/anime/movie scenes through a third party source. Hmm... that must mean she NEVER read the manga...

Every time we (Aethos, Keira-chan, Blayze, Alpha and myself) shot apart a statement she put up, she would insist that she heard it from a third party. For instance, she insisted that the Naruto Henge scene flashback (the one Sakura remembers when Naruto tells her he understands her) was the real Sasuke. When I corrected her, she corrected her post AFTER I replied and tried to make it look like I was misquoting her - and blaming a "source" for the mistake.

But, having said all that, I must stress that not all SasuSaku FC members are like her. There are good debaters like Sakura-chan and Arilou (even though he overthought things), which I enjoyed many a debate with and they were often a delight to chat with. Airichan is just in a VERY small minority.

And, Keira... about time. I just wish they could just stick to fanart and fanfics - they can enjoy those as much as they like! Just don't twist the manga...

lol most of them are in denial now, and are hoping for S***S*** to appear when they meet but we all know what WILL happen if they meet, Naruto will mostly be there and they will fight again..

Just visited the NaruHina FC.

They've mentioned NaruSaku, and are reluctant to canonize it (their quote - yes, they said "canon"!) because they haven't yet seen Hinata. They want to see what Naruto does.

But... it seems that they have accepted that NaruSaku has a REAL chance. Of course, some are still talking about what will happen between Naruto and Hinata (they're saying they'll hug, but of course that's just made in jest, lol).

Wow... it seems that BOTH NaruHina and SasuSaku have been forced to accept that NaruSaku CAN happen.
