Regarding the Discussion with the MEga levels and ultra mega levels. Apparently there is no such thing technically. there are all listed as Mega level. Just that some are an evolution line already from a MEga level or have more power than a mega apparently. If I understood correctly

as I said, the dark spores are because of millenniummon, in one of the games after ken and ryo supposedly defeated millenniummon(that's what the body you see is, and the kid with him is ryo) the dark spore came out of it and corrupted ken, and the 2 drifted apart, and ken was manipulated as the digimon emperor secretly by millenniummon. literally every villain in seasons 1 and 2, millenniummon was their creator, orchestrating it all behind the scenes. and yes, that includes daemon and the dark ocean too.

 

here's an actual good theory video that has all the facts and even explains why gennai could be evil right now:

there was something we never caught onto in season 1: what was the black orb piedmon put inside of gennai we never saw again? hmm?   its a dark spore, he's been corrupted just like ken was. and as I said, who was behind the dark spores? not daemon, millenniummon

also I know you guys don't believe me about ryo's backstory from the wonder swan games, and honestly the games are very difficult to beat so here:

It's just that some say Ryo popping up in tamers is entirely out of left field for those that don't own or never played the Wonder Swan games or any game starring him and they have a point. It's not often a franchise game character is canon welded into the anime, with said game(s) as a canon backstory

It's never explained (a dropped plot point in Digimon? What a surprise!...), but the speculation is that it caused Gennai to rapidly age and to stay at that age to keep him from doing much to stop Piedmon's plans.

It's somehow reversed in 02, which I don't remember ever being explained (shocking!).

Part 5 will have Hikari focused on, so maybe the dark ocean or something similar to it. But, it's a good set up for Millenniumon. He didn't appear in any season yet, so Tri is a possibility.

I did believe you XD I'm not updated on the Digimon games. Just know some old ones.
 
About the spore, that got me thinking. I thought after Part 3 that Gennai isn't evil, but a digimon has made him do bad things. Same goes for Maki too.
What you said about Millenniumon in the swan game makes sense with what's happening in Tri. So, a digimon controlling all this from the shadows is very possible.
 
So, the infection, Gennai's and Maki's actions, the reboot, etc, all could lead to a digimon that wants to wreck havoc and control. I think Part 4 will help more clarify things.

I remember when Masaru stopped his lance  and puch Cranniumon to do a RK was  epic. I love that episode when the RK assemble.

too bad the evolution sequences weren't in the actual crossover, would've made it even more amazing. at least plenty of fans edited them in lol

yeah millenniummon was supposedly the true partner of ryo, ryo possessed powers equal to that of millenniummon, even without a partner, originally he didn't even have a partner and lead an army of digimon against him. ryo somehow getting back to the adventure universe is possible, and it would be interesting seeing the tamers' reaction to the fact adventure and 02 were real, just an alternate earth connected to a different quadrant of the digital world, and the fact ryo kept everything a secret from them. kinda makes you wonder who was behind the card game and tv show lol

 

Which game was that? Or actually, which adaptation did he have Milleniummon as his Partner?
