I remember I went Ka-boom then, lol! But not because of the shipping moment itself but for Sakura lol!
Guess this is why the SS moment doesn't bother me that much. It has Sakura in it.
 
Oh, and don't worry, they don't sign up here, but they do stalk this forum! Wanna know why and how I caught them? I made a little test.. I wrote some stuff that I specifically knew will be targeted by certain people and I've now seen it on Tumblr from SS fans on anon to NS fans writing the exact same thing I said, LOL!
They're so easy to bait!

That was another thing. We all thought that Hinata was going to get an exclusive power-up as well as taking Sakura's spot, so yeah, another hellfire. Lol. It was a nightmare.

Wow, that's funny yet sad that it actually works. Here's my reason why I can't feel the same effect. One, NaruSaku stuff didn't happen a long time ago, so it's not that we lost credibility, especially if our last moment, according to people, was the confession scene, which people applied the end of NaruSaku. Now, we are not that far apart. It did happen this year, so I didn't get any effect. Plus, the context of this chapter is tampered with other things that actually didn't make this similar to 615. Hm, I should write a post about this. Needless to say, it's different. By a large margin.

If SS magically happens NH won't follow. Naruto won't lie to himself just because Sakura is not on the market anymore.

Well, that or take down NaruSaku, period. There are fans that want the one side to get taken down, even if their won't become canon. On the downside, you can still play around with multiple pairings with Naruto because he's not taken or never said "He can't mess with other ladies." Like if we get a movie that takes place after the story, we probably get a nod to the pairing that didn't happen, but they didn't come across romantic. Similar to how DBZ did it in the OVA with Yamucha saving Bulma in one scene.

So all in all, just give me the damn pairing.

@KnS Kishi is not the greatest writer out there, nor is he a good writer. However he does have his moment, I can't lie about that.

He has trouble at maintaining everything he wrote. Sometimes it give you the impression that it was all planned and sometimes when he just doesn't know what do to or how to keep a character relevant (Sasuke), he asspulls it, he tells us some nonsense and then pretends like it was planned.

 

In the pairing department, he has always been consistent. It always follows a pattern. It's the only place he remained consistent.

being serious, I think that Naruto need to be serious with Sakura, only him can change sakura's heart definetely at the end. The problem is that Naruto has never done the first step towards her. And we know why he never did a such thing, he even said this yo Sai "How I would do this if I cannot keep even a promise?"....

In the entire part 2 it was Sakura that was chasing after Naruto, while Naruto remained fixated with his promise. It would be nice to see a change of pace. Although I doubt that, it would probably be Sakura that will make the move and finally make Naruto realize that he can be with her.

I wouldn't prize him even for that I consider that trolling like in this chap and Kishi makes to many mistakes with his main paring it doesn't do justice to NS when he skips their moments just bc it would reveal Sakura's feelings for Naruto its ok if you do it couple of times but now is not that time when we are nearing the end doing the opposite makes NS just lose some credibility like in this chap .

True but For that to happen Naruto has to witness first something coming from Sakura not being unconscious like all the previous moments so it can  give him some confidence 672 was the perfect time but he screw that up . If there is time to make Naruto witness something from Sakura to him now is that time  we had enough hints signs  what we need now is an actual mutual moment between them .

Well to be fair, you do seem to question more do than very determined. Maybe I should sig my post here, but it all depends on the follow-up. It truly do.

 

I just agree with others that the end of this chapter is essentially another 615.

About the skipping the NS moments, well I don't like that but what can we do.

I know this is nitpicking, but no, we all did not think Hinata was going to get a power-up (much less an exclusive one), nor did we fear she would take Sakura's spot.

 

There were a lot of people here who read the tea leaves correctly -- who knew that Hinata was getting her stated desire to support Naruto and hold his hand -- and that it was her significant moment that would signal the beginning of closure for her character.  There were a lot of people who did not expect anything more from Hinata, or think she was suddenly elevated in importance.

 

Some people around here totally freaked out, some freaked out but recovered, and some never freaked out at all.

I don't disagree with you.  Yes, he has been uneven, and he has done some pretty questionable things -- in terms of deus ex machina (I prefer that term to "asspull") and retcon.

 

However, I challenge any of Kishimoto's most vocal critics to do better.  It's not a simple matter to tell a long, complex story with a crapton of characters over the course of what, 15 years now??, and not make mistakes in continuity, short-sighted plotting, and characterization.  On top of that, we don't really know to what extent he must respond to interference from editors, publishers, etc., who are motivated more by gross sales than story integrity.

 

I'm really not making excuses for Kishimoto's mistakes, but instead trying to be fair-minded and celebrate his strengths rather than his weaknesses.  But that's me.

Agreed.  As I've said many times, Naruto needs to step up and own his love for Sakura.

That is all I'm saying he's just giving the people a false image like in this chap I still say that "eye focus" kitten was totally unnecessary by doing this he just rile up the fans who will take this as something romantic even if Sasuke is indifferent and Sakura is exhausted by putting that image he will give the most this impression and this is why NS loses some credibility bc it makes it less convincing despite all the hints the actual moments are what counts the most and it doesn't help when he skips NS moments to make them mutual with almost the same set up like in here but actually give a moment to SS  which is BS . I consider this bad writing in itself and this is why I'm was pissed by this chap bc it does nothing but hurt NS image as a ending paring  I just wait now for him to troll SS in the next chap if he's willing to do that . 

 

As for the skipping NS moments yeah there is nothing we can do but move on and hope that the next NS moment isn't skipped .

It's understandable that he would make mistakes and somethings he must asspull in order to continue. Like you said the story has been going on for 15 years (and by the looks of it, it would go on for another 15 years thanks to Kishi pace ).

So making a few mistakes from time to time is expected and normal, he just can't remember everything he wrote and then find ways to connect everything perfectly.

 

And you're right we don't know how free he is to do what he wants. For example I'm 100% sure that making Naruto and Sasuke reincarnations was done for the soul purpose to keep Sasuke relevant, and someone above him told Kishi to keep Sasuke relevant.

 

The simple fact of the matter is this. The story could've been done a lot better. Maybe if he didn't have to release a chapter every week or maybe if he was free to do what he wants without outside interference, etc. We would've gotten a better story.

If it happen after narusasu fight then naruto use the poal.
If it happen before narusasu fight then naruto don't want to leave any regret because there's chance he will die at that battle(and he doesn't want to die virgin).

Yes, I agree. Kishimoto has done things that I don't particularly like -- things that have caused me to express displeasure and wonder, "Where did that come from?" -- but I don't think he's a 'bad' writer. I wouldn't be here if I thought he was. He has his strengths and weakness just like anyone, and there are times that I find him a very compelling storyteller. Writing isn't easy (and I say that as a mere amateur myself); writers make mistakes, and successful writers also have to face pressure from editors and publishers to do certain things that may even force them to change the story in ways that they may not want to.

 

It's easy for us as readers to judge Kishi's errors and storytelling choices and to say "he should have done this," or "he have done that differently." I'm not saying that there is not justifiable criticism, but I would not claim Kishimoto to be a bad writer simply because he did not do things in a way I might have preferred.

You could write a documentary, starring, Chatte, James S Cassidy, NaruSaku4Life3g, and special appearance by Smiter and Derock. It was hellfire. Actually, it was much worse than today. The one thing that's actually missing is the attack from the fanbase in here. We actually had new users set to bash us, telling us to put a bullet in our heads. We haven't gotten that. Wonder why. Trust me, it was D-Day level.

GOD!!!!!! It sure does look like some mess that happened that time XD. I actually wanted to watch James's reaction on this XD. To be honest, the way you describe it, it seems like it was war of the titans XD. No kidding!

@KnS As for your post, I was going to say everything that Nostradamus and NarutoFireFoxUzumaki stated. So yeah, I am with them! I don't think he has screwed up the story as such but pairings and love mess, undoubtedly! Though the point you mentioned is what I really find funny and ironic! Though people hate some things, they can't afford to miss to see how Naruto ends XD

Edit: Agree with some points of BakeNeko Chan as well! Not that he is a bad writer, but somethings were not even necessary, some were irrelevant and some opportunities were just....missed!

This chapter is nothing compared to 615. That was such a tragic time in here. I can remember all the meltdowns and nervous breakdowns some members on this site had. It was quite sad. Even I was depressed but the loyal ones pulled through. That SS moment(if you can call it that) didn't bother me one bit since Sakura was badass!
