That's like me being the president's brother and getting mad if he can't make it to dinner. He's the president so i should expect him to be busy. Kakashi being hokage would of made more sense if he was a stand in while Tsuande was teaching Naruto how to be hokage. They could of went that route,also Shikamaru is smart but very lazy.
Sorry but that's like the dumbest excuse ever for not making even a bit of room for your family , you just basically excused Naruto neglecting his son Burito with this example its the same kitten , Kids and family shouldn't endure any of that kitten what kind of a message is that for kids !? Not to mention Temari his own freaking wife complained that he works to much and spends most of his time working then with his family and friends that's not a good thing at all what kind of a marriage is that !? .
How is what any of what you just said justifies any of what happened !? Kakashi will never make sens bc it was Tsunade's job and roll to hand over the Kage tittle to Naruto when he's ready that was the only dream she got left , and Kakashi was guilt tripped into taking the Kage position he never ever wanted that job bc he wasn't really fitted (and still isn't) it actually undermines the Hokage Title its relevancy and its plot .
And to this I ask you where is Shikamaru's Laziness in this ending which is a core trait of his character !? He's basically a workaholic also and doing the job of the Hokage did you even read the Novels or Ch 700 !? That my friend is called twisting the character into something he never was smart yes workaholic No ! Its also called an RETCON !!! . You're basically ignoring the execution of this whole mess and in storytelling it matters allot the story means nothing if the execution is plain bad .
