There are only two things I can still hold out for hope with this series.
1. Somewhere down the line, Kishi pulls a JK and admits he f**cked up his ending by not writing his intended pair.( Even if it won't change canon, he will at least admit that NS has always and will always be the only logical choice.) I really just want proper closure on why he decided to break up the only pairing with development, in order to make the kittentiest pairings in the series happen.
2. Years after he's completed Naruto, the ending still haunts him and he writes a true ending, that is not fill with random pairings, ooc characters, and incomplete plot points.( This one is highly unlikely, but still a possibility.)
