The fans that you've encountered do not represent the majority of their fandoms, just as the few extremist fans of NaruSaku that they've dealt with do not represent our majority either. They may perceive the romantic aspects of the manga differently than we do, but that doesn't make them ignorant, or "blind", or whatever other insult you want to throw in there. All it boils down to is personal preference, and no one deserves to be whacked with a stick because they like something different than someone else.

This is true, but it's like what someone else said in a previous page (I'm too lazy to go and look it up right now)

 

When the manga, book or whatever you're reading is leaning in the direction of something and it's practically screaming in your face about how obvious something is, it's disrespectful to the writer or artist when fans like the rabid NH or SS fans change things around and come up with excuses like they did with 631.

 

"Oh, he was just joking. He didn't mean that you silly NS fans."

 

Where on his facial expression does it indicate that he's joking? Why would he lie to his dad who he never sees, and to himself for that fact?

Wouldn't Naruto be lying to himself if he was joking? 

 

I just don't get where or why they come up with things like that. I'm pretty sure if I had never seen my dad before and he asked me a question...God knows I'm not going to lie to him! Especially when I know he's not going to be around much longer.

 

It's just disrespectful to the author when people come up with excuses or bend the story around for their own pleasure.

Personally, the plot in a story is all I really care about. Sometimes the action is good, but I like plot heavy and suspenseful stories the most. Kind of like...Legend by Marie Lu. I couldn't put those books down at all.

 

Oh my gosh, I loved that series too and Divergent, can't decide which I like more.

I always look for romance . I remember when i watched episode 3 , i shipped them so hard since then , i just knew they will eventually come to understand each other , its just so perfect . But , yeah, the Gaara fight ,Hospital scene,POAL really made me going ... Then when i saw the beginning of part 2 and Sakura's maturity , huh ,well , she got that soft and warm smile just for him ..

Anyway, thanks to Naruto, I gone to watch anime and read manga and now, I'm full throttle romance seeker.

I like looking for romance in any media. It's just to be honest, I used to think anime was only about explosion and fighting. In early days, they only brought Sailor Moon (monster of the day) and DBZ (fighting show), so I didn't know if Japanese anime has romance. Pokemon, sure I fell for it, but it never anywhere, so I thought romance isn't a big deal at Japan at all. I was right for Pokemon, but in general. Naruto was probably the 4-5th anime I saw in here, so bam, I realized that anime do care about anything besides action. Gundam Wing didn't help btw. Lol. Hm.. to be honest , what got me in shipping so to say was Shaman king , yes, there is little to no romance there , but the fact that the girl was a Tsundere type , hiding away her feelings made it very interesting to watch , because when Yo was in danger , she was unable to keep them in so easily . But what got me into romance was Naruto hands down . Because its strong ,selfless etc..  I've watched a lot of anime , but this is my kind of pairing . I just can't look at any different the way i see NaruSaku.

I don't really mind open endings where pairings are concerned. It depends on the story and how it's executed. As you know from our discussion earlier, Psychox, I ship the pairing Soul/Maka from Soul Eater. Well, it didn't become canon, but there was finally confirmation in the final chapter that Maka felt something more than friendship (Soul already made how he felt pretty obvious a long time ago), and for that particular pairing I was not upset that it wasn't 'official', the implication was enough.

But I don't think that would work here, not because the pairing war would never end, but because it would just be a copout. NaruSaku is probably the most blatantly obvious pairing I've come across, there's too much foreshadowing and yes, too many parallels for it not to be made 'official'.

Well I haven't lost a war yet but I sure don't want that feeling. I do get the feeling of never been answered in anime, manga, and anything else. It's also annoying as well. I mean it's right there. Why not? Who are you going to displease? Also, sometimes when there's no romance intended, you can't help but say there should be. It depends on the focus but a hero/heroine side by side it's hard to ignore.

I'll be honest with you, I was actually intended to jab at that, but you're right. I think KHR is the latest one that upset me. Like who are you afraid of. What is it that it's hard to confirm? Why even bother? God, screw that manga.

I wouldn't say huge, but it is there. That said he's far too deep with the manga, that if he backs out, a lot of people won't go back to his work. Sometimes, doing this could really turn many people off that they won't go for another manga from the same creator. At least I know I'm not. Even so, I still doubt it.

In anime and manga i haven't lost as of yet , but i lost in AC..   Heck, PoP sands of time had development between Farah & the prince , but in the end he got slapped because she didn't remember anything of their time spent together. So it was kind of disappointing , they've got together in part 3 but it had an open ending .. I'm not gonna talk about Pop 4............ It came out in 2008 and  i still wait for a fallow up ...

So i kind of lost 1 and maybe the second wave is gonna hit ..

Wait a minute...didn't Kishi say he wanted Naruto to have a son or something? Naruto has to get with someone then. It's kind of hard to have a child without a woman involved somewhere...

Game wise, well it usually death or no love. I admit nintendo games, mainly Zelda, are evil for never confirming. Other than that, too many father-daughter games. I want love dammit. Hard to not feel awkward, though depends on age but when it's like "oh an adult? Please don't be my daughter" then please go with it. I will tell you one thing. It's hard to ache romance that is something you don't like or even ache it. Live shows are guilty of this.
