true, i guess i'm just venting some dormant frustration that's been building up. i think my hate stems from jealousy from the ships that are less significant than ns are canon. i'm acting like a baby now lol.

Lol it's perfectly valid to feel as you do, don't worry about it. The fact that the ending is a clusterf*uck of wtf is reason enough. To justify things like SS, NH, Ino and Sai, as well as all of the other random ass ships is a slap in the face to anybody that actually cared about the characters in the story. Hate all the pairings, as they are meant to mock reasonable fans.

That kid that is with Lee isn't that his and tenten's son. Also Shikatema is the other paring like NS that was "confimred" to happen. The only bad parings are nh and ss,the rest are ok. What i want to know is why is Gaara single when that one sand girl likes him.

I understand the hate for naruhina and sasusaku. But i don't understand the hate for the other parings. The only "confirmed" pairings

were NaruSaku,ShikaTema and some hints of Chojiino.

We should have known something bad was going to happen when the news that the manga was ending 5 weeks was announced. There was just no way we were going to get that conclusive ending we all wanted, but I never expected it to get this horrible.

 

Not gonna lie I was pretty suspicious when the 5 week announcement came out more so because the fight between Naruto vs Sasuke just started around that point. Then the first few weeks went by and my suspicions only increased by the time we got to 697, I never really mentioned it on the podcast with James, 4life, Steve, and some of the other people were on, but I was thinking it nonetheless. Especially when Boruto and Himawari's picture surfed onto the internet just after 698's release. I took that as like my second warning call like I've got a really bad feeling about this, and unfornately I was right it didn't just get bad it got worse then what I was expecting.

 

You know oddly enough I had  a  few dreams just a couple day before 699/700 came out and I saw myself reading the chapter. in The First one I saw Naruto and Ino become canon believe it or not, Sakura ended up with Sai, Sasuke and Karin, Gaara with Matsuri,and Kiba and Hinata . The last one was just NaruSaku, and SasuKarin. Although I saw it almost similar to Chapter 700 only  none of the chicks are housewifes, and... Here's the basic rundown of how the second dream went down:

 

 

Chapter 700

Chapter 700 - The Beginning of a New Era

Recap (First five pages) - The Fourth Great Ninja War has finally come to an end. Kakashi Hatake became Hokage as a means from Tsunade stepping down and allowing the next generation surpassing the last generation. Orochimaru was stripped of his jutsu as a shinobi and spent the rest of his life in prison. Sasuke Uchiha's judgement was passed and he was exiled from the village due to his efforts in aiding the alliance during the war, and so he traveled the world with Team Taka as Karin confessed her feelings and he accepted them. Naruto, while blushing returned his feelings to Sakura and she returned them back with a kiss at The Bench where she realized the sweet talking Sasuke was none other the ninja who saved the shinobi from the Ninja war, Naruto Uzumaki.

Present Day - 15 Years Later....

There she was a 13 year old girl fixing up her blonde hair while slipping on her green sleeveless vest over her black shirt. The young teen checks and washes water into her green eyes before she opened the door, and walked downstairs. There she saw her mother setting a freshly baked banana nut muffin and orange juice on the table.

"Good Morning mother." She says in a nice sweet tone

Her mother, Sakura Haruno Uzumaki, greeted the young Uzumaki, "Good Morning Kasumi."

"Getting everything set before you head to Hospital?" Kasumi answered.

Sakura nodded, "That and I've got something important today too."

Kasumi sat in the chair, "Oh is it classified information?"

"I'll tell you about it...." The head medical Kunoichi says before...

"I'M THE SON OF THE SEVENTH HOKAGE YOU GOT TO DEAL WITH IT." A hyper-active eight year old boy with short pink hair, and a few specs of blonde, with blue eyes in a orange shirt with blue sweatpants shouted to his mother and his older sister.

Kasumi looked slightly annoyed, "Causing a rucus in the morning as usual huh little brother."

The little brother answered with enthusiasm, "I'm not little, I'm Shinachiku Uzumaki son of the most powerful...." He realizes his mother is picking him and he complains, "Hey Hey what's the big idea? You can not treat an all powerful shinobi this way"

"You my little strong shinobi need to eat breakfast, mom's got important work in the office, and she could use your help today?" Sakura said with a smile while peting Shinachiku on the head.

Shinachiku sighed, "Is it the boring paperwork files that I have to drop in like always cause that's no fun.. There needs to be some kinda reward for me just coming to help the hot-tempered kunoichi of the village."

"Hot tempered..." Sakura's pain slightly popped as she withheld her rage and fake laughed, "Tell you what we'll play Seek The Ninja afterwards okay."

"Maybe." He answers in a casual tone just as Sakura lets him stand again.

Kasumi finishes her muffin and asks, "By the way do you know when Dad's coming today?"

"I'm not entirely sure he took off in such a rush this morning and considering that the 5 Kage summit is about to take place." The pink haired Kunoichi explained to her daughter, "Why was there something important you needed to ask him?"

"Kinda I just wanted to know when you two could start training me on the Byakugou seal and the rasengan?" She gets up from the seat and places her dish and glass in the sink and washes her hand.

Sakura says, "Hmmm I'll talk with your father about it afterwards okay."

"Sounds like a plan to me." The blonde Uzumaki answers as she got her grabbed her backpack.

Shinachiku asked, "Heya mom is my milk ready yet?"

"Yup." She says while giving her son a close lid glass filled with milk and two chocolate chip cookies, "Here you go Shinachiku."

"AWESOME!" HE yelled in joy while munching on his cookies and drinking his milk as he, his mother, and older sister stepped out of the house, "Can I ride your shoulders too mom?"

"Don't talk with your mouth full idiot." A slightly annoyed Kasumi answers.

Shinachiku continues, "But, but.."

Sakura told her son, "Your sister's got a point, that's not what strong shinobi?"

"Okay fine." he answers formally, "But I still wanna ride on your shoulders?"

"Oh Alright." Sakura laughed as she let her son get on top of her shoulders, "Are you ready to go?"

Shinachiku nodded, "Yes Maam."

"I'll see you later mom." Kasumi said while walking towards The Academy.

Sakura waved, "Bye Kasumi, and good luck in class today." The pink haired Kunoichi then walks to the hospital with her hyper-active son claiming he'll beat her, Naruto, and Kasumi in Seek The Ninja later on.



A Couple hours later....

In The Academy, Kasumi sits in her chair listening to Kiba Sensei and his wife Hinata Hyuga Inazuku discuss about the history of the Shinobi world and the different types of weapons shinobi have used throughout history. Hinata then noticed the sleepheads in class and her son, Ryu, whose got short spikey purple hair, brown eyes, Inazuku clan marks, and light blue and gray jump suit, smiling at the beauty of Kasumi Uzumaki, and laughs for a bit before whispering to her husband..

"Hey take a look at Ryu." She whisphered to him in his ear while he was in them middle of the lecture.

Kiba stopped and focused his attention on his son, "Hey lover-boy focus in class, this stuff is your history."

"Dad you're embarrassing me, don't do it hear?" Ryu said in a embarassing tone.

The students laugh at his response as did Kasumi although she somewhat blushes just by starring at him for a few seconds.

Kiba fake coughs to get the students attention, "Anyway aside from the lecture I've got an important announcement to make as a resquest from the Hokage. We've got a new student and she's just arrived."

Hinata answers in her usual polite manner, "You can come in now,"

The new student opens the door and steps into classroom to see the instructors and the other students. She's got short black hair with blue specs, dark eyes, blue glasses, a blue t-shirt with an Uchiha symbol on the back and gray shorts.

"My name is Asaka Uchiha it's a pleasure to meet all of you.." She says in calm cool collected tone similar to her father.

All the students say, "A pleasure to meet you too."

Hinata, "Feel free to sit wherever you like."

"Okay." Asaka nodded and spotted for a person as she soon heard a voice calling out her name.

Kasumi waved in excitement, "Hey Asaka!" and slightly giggled.

Asaka's eyes widen as she looked happy to see her cousin, "Hey Kasumi." and sit in the empty next to her, "How have you been? I haven't seen you in a long time."

The blonde Uzumaki answers, "I've been good just been...."

Kiba interrupts, "Ladies I don't mean to interrupt, but we are in the middle of a lecture?"

The two cousins say in embarrassment, "We're really sorry please carry on."

Kiba smirked, "Of course, but before doing that we've also got a special guest here today."

Asaka says, "Hmm I wonder who it is?"

"MY NAME IS SHINACHIKU UZUMAKI!" He yelled from the end of the hallway.

"Hush not so loud in the school, Shinachiku." She says while walking towards the room.

"Ah, but mom..." He begged before she interrupted.

"Don't but mom me, this important.." She said.

Kasumi sighed upon hearing the voices, "If only he wasn't so hyper active?"

"How are my fellow villagers doing, it's me the one and only..." Shinachiku rushes to the center to the students, but his mother covers his mouth before he could continue embarrassing her.

Sakura looked over at the students and her peers, "Sorry about the commotion everyone, he's always like this."

"She doesn't need to apologize, It's just in my nature to..." Shinachiku stops upon seeing Hinata and hides behind his mother, "On second thought I'd keep my mouth shut."

A curious Sakura asks, "Is everything okay Shinachiku?"

"Mom... Miss Hinata kinda scares me." The young Uzumaki boy answers with sweat rolling down his forehead.

Hinata asks, "Did I do something to offend him?"

"Don't worry about it Hinata, he'll open to you eventually." The pink haired medical Kunoichi says to her old friend, and notices her daughter, "Hey Kasumi let your brother sit by you so I can go over the procedure of my visit here."

Kasumi says, "Okay mom." and then whisphers to Asaka, "Hey you don't mind if he sits in your lap?"

"Not really." Asaka answers.

Sakura says, "Before I start, I'd like say hello to my niece Asaka for coming to The Academy."

"Good to see you two Aunt Sakura." Asaka waved at her.

"We'll catch up after this, Asaka." Sakura stated to her niece.

Asaka says "Sounds good." She grabbed Shinachiku and let him sit in her lap, "Good to see you again too, Shinachiku?"

"Who are you suppose to be?" She asks.

Asaka sighs in disbelief, "He didn't remember from last time.."

"He just needs to be around you more that's all." Kasumi explained to her cousin.

Sakura took a deep breath and began talking, "Most of you may know me as Kasumi's mother, but I am also the head of Medical team and Konoha hospital in the village and today I'll be explaining to you what....."

A voice yelled from the wall to the right of Sakura where Kiba is close to, "TAKE THAT LEE!"

The walls bursted as Lee lands on the floor as The Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki entered the scenary with a smirk on his face.

"Well Lee it looks like I win again." Seventh Hokage answered with a laugh while saying, "You're gonna have to try a little harder."

Lee takes a deep breath before saying, "That was an excellent match Naruto, as long as I have to power of Youth I shall not fall in trying to take you down."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Naruto answered in a cheery attitude before realizing he is in the Academy classroom where Kiba and Hinata are, "Hey there you guys how have you been?"

Kiba yells, "Oh Don't how have you been me?"

"How are you doing, Naruto-kun?" Hinata asks.

Naruto looks confused as he notices Kasumi, Asaka, and Shinachiku, "Hey there Kasumi, hope things are going well in class, and wait Asaka is here to that's amazing."

Kasumi facepalms, "I'm doomed!"


Naruto then realizes that Shinachiku is also present, "Wait if Shinachiku is here then that means..." He stops once he notices the hot-tempered look on his wife's face as a vein pops from her forehead, "Oh hey there, Sakura I didn't see you quite there."

"I thought you said there was a 5 kage Summit meeting taking place?"She slowly starts walking to him,

Naruto scratches his head embarassingly, "Well there was, but we finished up in less then 1 an hour and a half so I thought about having a sparring match with Lee for old time sake."

"And you thought using the village would be the best spot to do so." Sakura continued while charging,

Naruto asnwers with, "Well we used the rooftops of the building to square off and..." She was getting closer to his position.

"I would run Naruto." Lee Advised while taking a few steps back.

Naruto swallow his saliva, "Oh boy, I'm about get screwed aren't I."

Sakura grabs him by the shirt, "Yes you are idiot."

"FINALLY SOME ACTION!" An excited Shinachiku answered.

Sakura then pointed him in the chest, "And you're gonna help me with this presentation. So Naruto, Tell the new generation about everything you've been through over the years."

The children start gossiping as Sakura gave her husband a smartass looks on her face and giggled at his embarrassing look, "I didn't come prepared for this today at all."

"Uncle Naruto you can't tell the entire story yet?" Asaka says.

Kasumi and Shinachiku look confused, "Why is that, Aasaka?"

"Because it's only telling half the story of what happened." A mysterious voice said as he appeared with his wife Karin before his two former teammates, Naruto and Sakura, "isn't right, Asaka Uchiha?"

Asaka nodded, "That's right."

"Heh you always know when to make an entrance as usual Sasuke." an unimpressed, but stocked Hokage stated towards the Uchiha.

Sasuke Uchiha answered, "And you'll forever always be the looser that I've always seen since the beginning."

Naruto gets irritated, Loser! that was a long time ago, I've changed since then."

"Is that so Naruto, is that so, you couldn't even beat me in our last battle." A cocky attitude Sasuke answered.

Kasumi looked concerned, "Should we try to get our moms to break up the arguement?"

Asaka shaked her head, "Nope, from what my father told me it was like this between him and the Hokage."

"Oh I see." The Young Blonde Kunoichi answered, "Say after class would you want to train with me?"

"You mean like as in rivalry sparring match?" Asaka asked.

Kasumi noded, "MM hmm I could always use a training partner."

Asaka laughed, "Funny thing is I was about to ask you the same thing to see how far you've come." She looked Kasumi in the eye, "But don't think I'll go easy on you just because we're family."

"You're on." Kasumi said as she high-fived her cousin and continued to listen to her father and his best friend argue about the past.

With that a new Era was born, and with a new Era comes new friends but more important (the scene closes off with Kasumi and Asaka with determined looks at one another) a new rivarly has also been forged that's been carried for generations and generations...





Now I couldn't vividly remember every single little detail that was happening, but for the most part this was how it happened.

All he said was he wasn't interested in writing a romance for Shikamaru into the manga.  That's not the same as saying he would never pair him with anyone.  There was plenty of foreshadowing about Shikamaru and Temari in the manga anyway.

 

 

 

I don't have any problem with the pairing, really, because it IS foreshadowed. I just couldn't remember how definitive a statement Kishi made about pairing up Shikamaru.

JFC in 700 Temari looked like she's on some heavy  Crystal Meth and Shikamaru is busy as kitten  neglecting his friends and family ,and now this novel make them OOC striping them from their core personality for the sake of some Angsty Shoujo Drama kitten sign , such a  lovely ending they all got right !?  There is nothing to be ok or happy about any of this ships they're all kitten  just being hinted or developed in the story is not enough  but also how its executed in the end  and its pure utter kitten  hence the hate .

I'm back! My internet couldn't handle just how incomprehensible everything about this series became, and decided to just give up for a few hours there.

 

I dread to think what will happen with the remaining characters whom we haven't seen much of yet. It will probably turn out that Lee's eyebrows were fake the entire time.
