This is generally true, but I don't see why it matters. NS being canon is only made that much better knowing that those who do nothing but hate are going to be proven wrong and end up looking stupid.

 

There's a reason why everyone hates Sakura. She was specifically made to be an unlikable character in part 1. People already hated her because Kishi made her that way. Skip over to part 2 and while she is changing, people still hopped on the bandwagon of hate since Sakura still wasn't perfect. If the general people believe something, it's hard to shake that belief, even if it's unjustified.

 

As for NH and SS, a lot of them are fans of both pairings because they simple do not like the rivaling pairing which is NS. NH having hated Sakura for so long would prefer their favorite character, being the main character, to be with somebody they consider to be better than Sakura, which in this case is Hinata. I honestly don't think that Hinata is a very good character, but it has nothing to do with her being a good character. All that matters is that Hinata is compared to Sakura, whom they can easily hate. Sakura and Hinata are very contrasting characters, that is why it's hard to like both of them and easy to compare them.

 

As for my own personal opinion, I honestly can't say I like either Sakura or Hinata, but, I will say that it is clear to me that NS is the end pairing. NS is often selfless, and they make each other happy. It's also clear that they are both attracted to each other. It doesn't matter if another fandom has a strong basis for their pairing, because none of them are as convincing as NS.

 

Anyone agree or disagree with this? I'm curious to know how other people interpret the rival fandoms.

 Well to be fair all members of team 7 had something unlikeable about them in part 1, Naruto was a brat at times, Sakura acting like a fangirl and Sasuke was arrogant. But I end ended up liking them all on the Chunin exams arc, cause they all developed sort of out of these faults (well Sasuke is still arrogant if not worse).

That is true seeing as how Kishi works on his chapters ahead of time, I'm sure that he already has the ending of this arc planned out.  

Even if SS doesn't end here, as long as NS got the ending on lock like doing OVA moment, it's now obvious and no need to debate for me. I'll just recap.

It deals with personalizing the situation , for example :

NH/H hate Sakura not just because of her part 1 counterpart but her love for Sasuke is much more detrimental than anything . That's a classical case the good guy loves the girl the girl loves the jerk(Sasuke) who happens to be his best friend and brother(in a way). That said , they are influencing characteristics in her that aren't there to begin with and every little action she does she gets bashed or hated because people read selectively and ignore crucial facts . Furthermore,  they react to the last thing in the manga that has occurred. Ignoring facts and skipping through arcs like its nothing..

  .That's the impression i got from many conversations with those fans . Hinata is loved because she is ''clean'' in a  way , she loves only the good guy and thinks of him 24/7 and never has another. Others just want Sakura to suffer and pair her with Sasuke to ''get'' vengeance.. I don't know i may be wrong , but that's how i sense it.

SS are having similar problems , most of them are looking into stuff like ''deserving'' and reward based love system like ''She loves him so much , so she has to have him . They refuse to see the development between Naruto and Sakura , heck i even saw something in the matter ''If Naruto and Sakura end up together , it would be a rebound relationship'' , how does that make sense? It doesn't , not buy a long shot . Sasuke has go get a free pass , that's it .

The biggest thing is her confession that comes into play , she is hated because of it a lot.  I think its all about selfish love more than selfless.. But that's just me .

Sakura is a pervert. Same for Naruto. Sakura when she was seeing Konohamaru's jutsu that was about Sasuke and Sai naked and stuff which was a parallel to Naruto seeing Konohamaru's jutsu as well in another time about another thing that I can't recall.

 

Plus, both had the same reaction and same facial expression... I like this parallel XD

You know it's funny, but thinking....rated M...of NaruSaku makes me remember how in the Simpsons movie, where Homer and Marge were getting Disney magical moment but then they didn't go for the kiss, they go for the....well yeah...and the animals were like "O_O". That said I can imagine that Naruto and Sakura will have their time of their life. I forgot what the movie calls it but pretty much, let's just say their minds are in lala land.
