NO they are talking about that time when Hinata thought about Naruto when she was being captured inside the cocoon. Not that time when Hinata fell on the ground.
But how is that a "special" connection? When Naruto noticed that everybody was being trapped? Not just Hinata?
And the dream about Hinata and Naruto were in Hinata's thoughts, not Naruto's, so....
And the ground trip still is significant in my eyes. Hinata gave up on reaching Naruto while he was dying. I mean, there's no way around that. It wasn't her fault that she tripped but....
