I'm serious, guys. I really am about it.

If SasuSaku really is considered "true love" by today's standards, then I don't want to live in this world anymore.

Maybe people believe Belle from Beauty and Beast should have went with Gaston, right? I guess that was true love too.

How Salad Got her Name!

 

Sasuke has briefly returned from one of his "journyes" to get a bite to eat and lay his head for a night at Sakura's house. Sakura is clearly late into her pregnancy.

 

Sakura: So honey, how was your trip? What did you discover?

Sasuke: I discovered that I'm quite hungry actually, and am hoping that some food arrives soon. Quite soon.

Sakura: Well..umm.. Sasuke. It think it's time we talked about the baby.

Sasuke: ...........my stomach is growling.

Sakura: We need to name it. What shall we call her if she's a girl?

Sasuke: You know, it's funny, I hear your mouth moving, and yet what I don't hear if your knife moving, chopping up vegetables that will go into the salad I'm very much looking forward to eating.

Sakura(now visibly upset): Why don't you ever TALK to me? The very least you can do is help name our child!

Sasuke: SALAD! NOW!

Sakura: Y...Yes dear. 

 

Sasuke is now sitting down, quietly eating his salad. There is an awkward silence in the room, as Sakura stands there watching him, on the verge of tears.

 

Sasuke: What are you standing there and staring at me for? Am I a bird? I didn't come here to just eat a kittening salad. Why aren't you preparing the main course? Come on, chop chop! I have the world to explore!

Sakura: (begins crying)

Sasuke: I don't think crying is an effective technique to making food. Let's get moving here, I can only eat this salad so slowly and if you dont do you want another stab to the heart like the last time?

 

And thus, the beautiful story of how Salad got her name comes to fruition

We all agree that the ending makes no sense. Even regular readers agree, and even other shippers whose heads aren't so far up their asses can see it. Everything about it SUCKS so much the best thing about it was Gaara's psycho hair-do. We can speculate all we want on WHY Kishi did what he did but the fact of the matter is that he DID IT. 

Whether it was money or pressure why does it matter? He steadily ruined Naruto and then proceeded to Nuke it from orbit.

And that is why the message Kishi sends with this is terrible.

 

No matter what he did as long as he "changes" later everything is fine.

 

Murder attempts and straight up saying "I hate you" is fine because in the end the person will still want to marry you. 

 

And to think that beautiful love started in such a romantic way, because he was the cool kid in school.

One thing I wanted to know is-- What happens to the tailed beasts?

 

What is their fate? Does the Jinchuriki system continue or are the beasts just left free? Wasn't this an important part of the story? Did Kishimoto give any resolution to this...?

He could have accepted the same love from Karin and you all know this to be true. I like how SS get a pass with this bullsh**, but mention SK and "Oh no, SK has so many reasons NOT to exist. SK is a bad coupling."

Again, lame ass excuses and such flawed logic just to handwave it all like it was nothing. Absolute crap and everyone knows it, but they don't want to admit it.

If I was Kishimoto or I could take over his mind, I would totally have Naruto and Sakura have an affair behind Hinata's and Sasuke's backs. Why? Because "love doesn't need a reason..."

I really have been questioning my reading comprehension, especially when guys like Sawyer claim NH and SS was obvious. But I am sticking with my reading. NS is there. Maybe Kishi meant for it to be a bond of friendship bound together by a desire to return Sasuke together. If he did, he failed on so many accounts. To not even have Sakura acknowledge Naruto is egregious. To not give the hero he closing lines is egregious. Kishi failed no matter how you slice it.

Don't listen to individuals like Sawyer. Just b/c he's a famous reviewer, doesn't mean he's better than other reviewers. It's just that his humor attracts many viewers. He had made many idiotic and false assumptions before, such as Sakura sacrificing her life for Naruto. His assumption that NaruHina became cannon is just a coincidence. I refuse to believe that all the development we've read so far was for nothing. I believe he initially intended NaruSaku, and that Sakura did develope romantic feelings for Naruto, and that Naruto was still in love with her at the end of the war. I'm not being delusional. I interpret the scenes b/w Naruto and Sakura in the most logical way.

Giving closure to NS means addressing the elephant in the room which he cant be half arsed with.It also wont look right for Sakura to reject Naruto or Naruto falling out of love with Sakura explicitly off panel.Hence Kishi took the cowards way out by pretending nothing not even close friendship existed between them

 

NaruSaku is taboo now.

 

All the characters would treat it as if it never occur...else this ending wouldn't make sense. not that it does.

That's what i am fearing though... seeing NaruSaku act as if nothing happened between them..otherwise it'll be awkward.

 

I was thinking that maybe i am being too much, that my reaction for this "epilogue" is too harsh and too biased.

but i tried. I REALLY TRIED looking beyond things. i went so far as to look up my old post at NF where i was still an NH SS fan.

tried to relive my passion for those pair, that maybe through that i could be somehow happy with this ending.

But those old post of mine feels strange. it make me cringe when i saw one old post of mine bout ns being sibling like.. ugh but that was like 2009. and then i gradually saw my way of posting change. i became neutral and eventually warm up to ns.

In the end, that process of looking back just made me fall in love with NS all over. and have to feel this confusion once again from the epilogue..

 

 

 

There are many ways Kishi could have made SS and NH work and leave us NS fans sad but satisfied. A thank you from Sakura; acknowledgment of the PoaL; a scene or two showing SS forging bonds as friends and teammates rather than jumping to 12-year old Sakura; not reverting the heroine to a fangirl; giving the final words to the titular character.

Maybe SS is there I'd you squint. But across the board this ending is terrible.

 

 

Yeah, that is all i'm asking now. a closure. a heartfelt talk between the two.

Show us the Sakura we know who is kind and would not just toss around Naruto as if he never became special to her.

You can party all you want from NH SS being canon but don't they dare throw away the fact that Naruto indeed love Sakura. and that Sakura indeed love Naruto too, whatever the kind of love that is, it is clear Sakura has special feelings for him.. gives tender smiles just for him, do crazy kitten just for him.

 

 

 

And the so hyped POAL didnt even get a Thank you    Sakura just indirectly told Naruto to just fck off while she and Sasuke kun had sex on their travels completely forgetting the reason that she got Sasuke was because of Naruto

I wouldn't like Naruto to die. but that thought crossed my mind already even before this anomaly of an epilogue came.

 

Like Nardo died selflessly, and Sasuke's way of atonement is to live.

To live the life Naruto wish for.

carry all the burden, all the hate to himself.

 

 

Yeah. In the end,

1. Naruto was just a tool used to redeem Sasuke.

2. Naruto was indeed the selfless 'lil bro' whose job was to bring Sasuke to Sakura.

3. Naruto was just a prize for Hinata's 'pure' selfish love.

 

What a sad fate for the supposed main character. Take a bow Kishimoto, for I never thought it would be possible to write one's own main character so badly. You truly are a 'one of a kind' writer. 

 

 

I guess that is why most of us are still unhappy. It isn't just about the pairings anymore..

It just felt like it isn't Naruto's story anymore.

 

 

 

 

A favor to all... could you try not to be biased, set aside pairings and such, forget that god-forsaken epilogue

 

and honestly tell me how you envision Naruto as a Hokage and maybe as a father?

 

I just want to get the honest opinion from different people.

One of the many questions Kishi left unanswered. What happened to the tailed beasts? Why don't we get to see Naruto achieving his dream surrounded by those who love and respect him; he's Asura's heir, right? Shouldn't we get to see that moment? 

 

And the fact that all of this, particularly NH (and I'm assuming SS) is being explained in a movie should speak to how little success Kishi had telling his story down the stretch.

 

As someone said on James's podcast, I'm going to do the same thing with Naruto that I do with Battlestar Galactica. With BSG, I stop watching after they leave New Caprica. Well, all that stuff after the Pein arc? That's what fanfic is for.

I had this same reaction when I first read ch 693. In my last post,  I was just explaining things with Kishimoto's logic...that doesn't mean that I agree with him.

You can't explain it, so don't even try. I don't even accept it any way. I don't even know half the logic with this manga now.  What is Kishi's logic? He can't even have NaruHina's kids have a Byakugan...a DOMINATE TRAIT, but he can give them whiskers even though it would be a recessive trait. It scientifically impossible for neither one of his kids to possess the Byakugan.

Ok, SS is a good looking couple, yeah. But what I hate about the ending is how it makes me feel like the insecure kid I was when I started reading. That unpopular kid who hated Sasuke because he got everything and Sakura loved him and he treated her like dirt, while Naruto did so much for her.

Oh, surprise, the cool guy got the best looking girl again and for all we know Naruto settled for the weirdo stalker. Then I feel even worse about my reaction because it gets dangerously close to the scary type of "Nice guy" thinking that really damages how young boys and men go about interacting with women.

It's a mess, and I hate it.
