She didn't fought back she tried to attack Pain and he sent her packing with shinra tensei. Please ignore the anime version where she fought him, tried to break Naruto free and she was able to take 5 shinra tensei when Jiraiya and Kakashi only took one for them to get killed.

I watched the movie today and really enjoyed it! I think this was the best Naruto movie actually, it was interesting having this alternate universe and Naruto experiencing having parents. It was also great seeing Naruto and Sakura have to stick together through all of it. Most of the movies usually introduced an original female character that would usually take the spotlight. This time around, the spotlight is all about Naruto and Sakura working together.

 

It's worth a watch for sure.

LMAO! Well, that kick has nothing to do with Hinata. That's Tsunade's signature... As for the explosion, are they serious? And also, Pierrot downplayed her attack. That crater should of been a lot bigger. In one movie, she's making fissures in the ground but on this one, her kick doesn't do much. I guess they feel that deep down, Kishi was showcasing NH... Stupidest crap ever. Why didn't Hinata fill this little role then?

 

 

I remember hearing that this movie was a way for Kishi to add things he wanted to add to the series but was never able to, so in a way can't we take this as Kishi wanting to originally make the pain arc include Sakura but instead did Hinata in order to get some of her development out of the way?

I've decided to download and see the movie, and I loved it but I also noticed some foreshadowing and I'll just wait and see if it actually was foreshadowing or  that he recycles some things.

As for the comparison it could be either foreshadowing or just recycling of previous scenes.

Pff was a bit tired when I saw it but I think a big one was Sakura carring the hokage haori and her line about heros that convinced Naruto to leave his parents. At the fence scene I wondered if she wanted to show him the cloak or wanted to do something else

just getting around to watching the movie, at about half way now only to be interrupted by having to make lunch, 

 

pretty sure Menma X Sakura is canon, by the way Minato and Kushina were teasing Naruto about it 

 

so far I think it is a great movie
