So I've been catching up on One Piece lately, the latest arc is pretty good.

 

Catching up (mainly what's happened after the two year time skip), a thought popped into my head.

 

Will the Thousand Sunny be the ship for the Strawhat crew the rest of the way? Compared to some other ships it's fairly small. I know that it's powerful and the crew isn't that big. Just kind of curious since there's still a lot of time to go in the series.

I think the Sunny will be the last ship for the straw hats. It fits everyone and it has way too many special abilities to  be replaced by any normal mundane ship.

Franky already said they'll use the Sunny to sail the new world. If anything Franky'll just upgrade it if needed.

 

I don't think Luffy's crew will get any more than 2 more members maximum, but they're gaining more and more allies as it goes on.

Definitely. Franky's dream is to sail the ship he builds to the end of the world: Raftel. As for crewmates, other than Jinbei joining later I'm not sure if there would be any more additions. In the New World the emphasis is more on ally crews rather than crewmates. Whitebeard bringing all his allies from the New World to Marineford shows how important they are. Also the newly formed alliance between Kidd, Apoo and Hawkins.

Has anyone mentioned anything at all about the new chapters? The interest of the story has regressed, in my personal opinion anyways, but that is not to say it is not a great series.

I'm loving the manga, I just don't go to forums to talk about it, I go to youtube. Unlike Naruto you're not usually going to find idiots all over the comment sections.

Eh, It's not keeping me interested at the moment. Again Not saying the series isn't great, just that at the moment it isn't keeping me excited about it. Not right now at least. Though I like that Rebecca can kick ass. Just to be clear, I'm not bashing One Piece, as I acknowledge it as it is a great manga/anime with a giant fandom.

Well you will find the unfortunate part of any media is that if it gets too popular, it will get a lot of HATE DUMB. Anime is no exception, as all the Great series that become world renown will get bashed and hated on at one point or another. Naruto is Dragon Ball Z part deux if we're being honest here.

I know you're not bashing one piece, I just didn't understand why you didn't like it.

 

I love this arc..Punk Hazard was cool, but this is better. I love Rebecca, because she is not that strong and still likable. And Bartalomeo is an interesting twist. Main reason though, the villain is actually strong. Ceasar Clown didn't live up to the hype in my opinion, and Hody Jones was a minor threat. None of them forced Luffy to his limits, but this one sure will.

Yep I had one of those I can't moments cause I knew something bad was going to happen. Anyway this arc with every chapter is starting to remind me of alabasta arc.

Finally getting exciting, anyone else think Flamingo just shot the heart of someone from his own crew (likely the gas user)? I fully expect the Doc to have a back-up plan in all this, it would be quite sad if he went through all that planning and never took into consideration that flamingo (I know that's not his name but it's what I always think of when I see him) would not double cross him, afterall he seems to be famous for it.

Yeah it was more like an instance of the fight, skip to the end and the fight is over.  Well the is staring to pique my interest again.

Yeah, nothing has been confirmed yet, that is true. Well let's see what happens, but the story is getting me interested again.
