This chapter really doesn't change the fact that SS can't become canon without NH which still has to worry about Naruto's parents plot shielding NS from them.

 

SS isn't going to become canon without NH because it would leave Naruto forever alone in the dust, he won't exactly come out on top

You could write a documentary, starring, Chatte, James S Cassidy, NaruSaku4Life3g, and special appearance by Smiter and Derock. It was hellfire. Actually, it was much worse than today. The one thing that's actually missing is the attack from the fanbase in here. We actually had new users set to bash us, telling us to put a bullet in our heads. We haven't gotten that. Wonder why. Trust me, it was D-Day level.

Haha, that was the time I joined this forum. Maybe it wasn't the best tiime, because after that event things got a bit boring in the beginning with no drama whatssoever. But it sure was an event I will never forget x)

I remember I went Ka-boom then, lol! But not because of the shipping moment itself but for Sakura lol!
Guess this is why the SS moment doesn't bother me that much. It has Sakura in it.

 

Oh, and don't worry, they don't sign up here, but they do stalk this forum! Wanna know why and how I caught them? I made a little test.. I wrote some stuff that I specifically knew will be targeted by certain people and I've now seen it on Tumblr from SS fans on anon to NS fans writing the exact same thing I said, LOL!
They're so easy to bait!

The only real problem this chapter brought was the exchange in looks but neither one was blushing so we know its platonic.

 

I more have a problem with trying to figure out what Kishi's intention was with page 15, Obito's been tnj'd 3 times now we don't need another nakama power=strongest power in teh world

Well, for a guy who "sucks at romance" he has still managed to create one of the most intensely followed and contested love quadrangles I've encountered in many years with many fandoms.

 

I think people mistake their frustration and lack of control over the story for Kishimoto's weakness as a writer.  He's actually managed to foster a lot of emotional investment -- worldwide -- in the romantic conclusions of his story.  I certainly wouldn't call that sucking.

You're forgetting a lot of significant players on your short list there.    There were A LOT of long-time H&E members who showed their unwavering support for NS, even if it meant standing up to some of our own.
