That is pretty much how I see the manag ending honestly. Sasuke going full circle with Naruto so to speak and switching places with him. sasuke wandering the workd to rebuild his reputation and the trust of his comerades and his relationship with karin.
Naruto as the hero with the girl he loves, Sakura at his side.

If you genuinely like it, then that's fine. I come nowhere close to that preference in the least. I almost did or at least was considering it since I believed Karin would have more of backbone with Sasuke and would not forgive him that easily. So imagine my total shock and anger when I see Karin clinging to him in 627 with less respect for herself than Sakura with Sasuke. That totally pissed me off, Sasuke's comical expression aside (which I did manage to laugh at, I admit

Here's something that was bothering me about this. If you ship SasuKarin and yet hate SasuSaku under the grounds of it being an 'abusive relationship' and 'bad heroine light', then you're being very hypocritical. And that's not sitting well with me.
I'm usually very proud to see that most NaruSaku fans do not side-ship SasuKarin. I was relieved over this since it gives us more of a clear distinction from the NaruHina fans who ship SasuSaku. And then I see this after 627. It upsets me but not in a mad way. It just makes me wonder if we're really no better than the NH/SS fans. The majority of them ship each other not because they're invested but because they want the threat out of the way. For SasuSaku, Naruto. For NaruHina, Sakura. For NaruSaku ... Sasuke. Then I see huge amounts of SK/NS fans. It's worrying me. It's almost like after all of these little pairing speed bumps in NaruSaku with NaruHina, we're desperate to the point we'll start side-shipping SasuKarin.
I hope this isn't the case for our fanbase.

I see SK as possible, let me clarify. I get some of your points of view about it being endgame. It's just not likely yet. I just don't believe it will happen nor do I at this point even slightly tolerate the idea.
I wasn't trying to sound rude, I just don't really like any type of generalization so sorry if I sounded that way.

I had already said here in the forum that I am a SK shipper and I don't think anyone here is "coming out of the woodwork" as you said, it's only because that chapter had an SK interaction then it's normal for people who like this pairing comment about it , This forum is primarily a NaruSaku forum so there is no reason to be talking about SasuKarin all the time, don't you think?!
I'm not completely happy with their reunion. it was very rushed (as I said in one of my posts, the entire chapter was very rushed, probably because this is the last chapter of volume), but after seeing the correct translation, I'm more relieved. The word that Sasuke used to apologize to her wasn't just a simple "I'm sorry" which explains the fact that she was melting in the next panel and the fact that she was clinging to him was more to show that she still loves him since the words she used express that she still angry (and she also didn't say she had forgiven him). I doubt she is planning something against him, but I think this issue will be brought up again when they have an opportunity, as I said, in no time she said she had totally forgiven him, then I recommend you wait a little longer to judge Karin's character as destroyed. well that's your opinion, you have the right to hate whatever you want, so I'll just respect that.
I don't like SasuSaku because it was always portrayed as a submissive relationship, Sakura was never herself in front of Sasuke and always did everything to try to fit his standards (more like what she thought that was his standards), he treated her bad several times and her love for Sasuke only brought pain and sorrow to her. But SasuKarin is completely different, before the Summit arc, Sasuke has never treated Karin bad in any way, she was always herself in front of him, she doesn't use suffixes (-kun) with him (which indicates equality and proximity), she calls him weak, stupid and bastard and he never complained or said anything against her because of it, even when she was the one who started a fight with Suigetsu, he always took her side and demanded that Suigetsu cooperated with her, he told her that he needed her (something he had never said to anyone) yet he didn't forced her in any way to follow him. he recognized when she saved his life (again, something he had never said to anyone), Tobi said she was "Sasuke's favorite" and he even awakened a new power (the power to control the flames of Amaterasu / don't remember the name now

In the same way that there are NaruHina fans who genuinely like SasuSaku, there are NaruSaku fans who genuinely like SasuKarin, there is no problem in like two pairings from a manga. We aren't better than NH, SS or any other ship, the only difference is that we have the manga of our side, it's literally just that.
What saddens me is that you think most people who ship Sasukarin do it just to take Sasuke out of the NaruSaku way, which is a completely wrong view, most people here already ship SasuKarin a long time and not just because of "NH is gaining ground" or "we have to take Sasuke out of the NS way", This pairing has their merits, even if they aren't appealing to you, they are for other people. SasuKarin has a good base in the manga and I think IF Sasuke end up with someone, that' person will be Karin.
I would like to add my interpretation about the Summit arc and why I think this arc has destroyed any chance of SasuSaku happen. For me, it wasn't just the fact That Sasuke tried to kill Sakura since he tried to kill almost everyone who crossed his way. He tried to kill both girls, but the way Kishi showed these two scenes it's what makes the difference to me, Karin was shown as a "sacrifice" and also the fact of him having betrayed her as definitive proof that Sasuke had become a "dark person", Kishi even had the care to connect Karin with those early days, that time when Sasuke was just a genin (wait, he is still a genin

I'm not trying to make anyone here like SasuKarin, everyone has the right to hate whatever you want, but I hope you guys at least respect the people who like this pairing.

Actually, I could see this happening, if not, let the epilogue give you idea that they got together somehow. It's the main pairing that many are more wondering. Take FMA for instance. The only real canon pairing was with EdXWinry, while everything else is left interpretation. Honestly, that's my only concern as well: Naruto himself. Everything else can be fans' interpretations.

I know. Sad I have to keep repeating myself about "not liking it because of my main pairing". Sigh.

Honestly in the past this would be true, I thought "oh he tried to kill her! SS is over" but after a while I actually realized that I had always thought it was over.
SS and SK could both be counted as abusive but that is not the full reason I would choose to dislike the pairing, IMO Sasuke has actually shown some care toward Karin, a lot more than toward Sakura. I don't think I can name a time when Sasuke would belittle Karin in a way he did to Sakura, SS goes beyond physical abuse and even goes on toward emotional abuse.
This again goes back to me saying that Karin is NOT Sakura, so anything SS related I don't try to relate with SK. SK to me has a lot more build up than SS ever had or even ever will, like redragon said SS goes against the progression of the story, SK imo does not and it has its own progression to lean on.

I kinda disagree.....
There has been plenty of times where Sasuke has shown to care about Sakura (in part 1)
the only time Sasuke ever really belittled Sakura was when he thought she wasn't trying hard enough as a ninja because of her crush on him and said she was worse than naruto. that was pretty much the only time he belittled her. (but later he praised for for being able to notice a genjutsu)
that ......and maybe hitting the apples she made out of her hand, because he was frustrated with himself and didn't want to be taken care of.
can't really blame Sasuke in part one......Sakura was a little clingy toward him...and just like Sakura smacked Naruto for his annoyance...Sasuke avoided her and got frustrated by her crush too......
but he has shown to care for her....not in a romantic way....but he still cared.
I'd even go so far as to say it's partly Sakura's fault for not taking the hint.

No disrespect towards you but I'm sure you guys don't feel comfortable when a NH or SS fan comes to this site and start talking about their pairing, so a great way to show some respect to your fellow NS fans is not talking about a pairing that many of us also don't like worst when there is a site dedicated you guys.
Link: http://www.narutofor...p...948&page=17
Again I don't want anyone here believing that I've something against you, but most of us chose this site to avoid all the SS and NH talk while trying to avoid debate, guest what many of us see SK the same way we see SS and that will create some replies that you guys will find yourself angry and start acting indifferent towards each other.
So please take my advice and use it.

So...I don't know if I'm reading this right...but basically what you're trying to say is, even though this site is open to everyone of different pairings, if we ship something that most NSers don't agree with, or if we find that a character that we like is being interpreted incorrectly, we're supposed to just suck it up and...run away?

The apple thing there was no necessity to treat her like that, also the chuunin when he was rude to her and even Naruto joined the conversation and said she only cared for him.

Sakura's dismissal of Naruto is always comedic, but Sasuke's sometimes aren't. An easy example is how she almost breaks down crying when Sasuke told her the curse mark was none of her business.
Still, the problem really isn't with Sasuke, the problem is that Sakura is so meek with Sasuke that it just comes of as detrimental to her character. It's Sakura romantic desire to impress Sasuke that brought down her character as a kid, and if she's to stand on equal grounding as him then she should leave that feeling behind. As long as she holds onto that romantic love for Sasuke she'll never get over her meekness around him.

Yeah, that's the problem. If "You're annoying" presented a comedy moment, or the apple scene, or the "leave me alone", or even have Sakura said "You never talk to me", then maybe I wouldn't have taken it serious. For Naruto and Sakura, it's comedy, even when Sakura said that she hates Naruto, all Naruto did was a comedy face. It was more of "Ouch. Lol" than "Ouch..."
I agree with you about the second point. The last good comment before the farewell was probably the genjutsu part, which is good god way back in 20s. Again, when Sakura is the one pointing out the bad parts, you can tell she admit defeat with Sasuke.

ya well Sasuke never said he hated Sakura XD just called her annoying.
and in Sasuke's defense again (and WHY am I even defending him?) he is quiet by nature......so if he never spoke to Sakura it's mainly because he's just quiet. Naruto only got Sasuke's attention cause he claimed he was better and eventually showed him, which gained his respect. Sakura just kept saying how she wanted to eat lunch with him...be with him blah blah blah.

I know, but he left her in a bad impression and everytime it happens, it's an emotional impact to Sakura. The whole white background means an impact that hurts one or both and Sakura got struck. That's no excuse. In order words, it's not his type and she should realized that he's not it for her. They can be friends, but relationship beyond it won't work. When you go to a new level, the atmosphere between you two will be different. Not that you can still act friendly, but you have new options to consider, like going out more often, understanding and respecting each other likes and dislikes, etc. SS just won't work, because it will be a quiet and weak relationship that begs, "Broke off during the epilogue". He doesn't hate her, of course not, but like I said above, when it comes to relationship, it's a new level and trust me I know. Pretty much, Sasuke is saying thanks but no thanks to her love. Again, his words hurt her a lot and it truly shows. Plus, when she has another person, then you know the story is meant for them to get together. Not sure I said it here, but you can make many alter stories with this and it can work. In other words, SS just wasn't made to make it work.
