Learning who your true friends are and who the fake ones are is sorta hard to get through...well in my opinion it is. Learning to distinguish between friends and true friends can be a bit difficult at first, but after observing for a while, you can learn to find who your true friends are. Who worries when you're sad? Who speaks the truth to you when you have done something wrong?

We may have many "friends", but usually, all we do is fool around and play games. However, when it comes to serious topics, that's when you can draw the line between real friends and plain friends. At least, that's how I've been able to distinguish mine.

Anyway, speaking a bit more about this topic, I have to agree with you on the term of losing friends. We don't like to lose anything at all, but sometimes, some people change into people we don't know. Most of the time, we accept them (in fact, being a true friend is greatly about accepting others for who they truly are and not for what they appear to be at first), but when this can lead to pain, it is best to keep a distance from them. I'm not sure who it is, but why not try to give that friend some time? Maybe the emotions are kinda sensitive at the moment and all you might need is a breather. And no matter what, let him/her know that you'll still be there for them. Leave that door open and try to focus a bit more on how the other person is feeling (I can't count the many times I've seen some of the people I've advises trying to fix a friendship while only focusing on their pain and on their point of view. I don't think you're this type of person, though. I just give the advice in general).

And just like Naruto, no matter what, don't give up buddy.

Been there done that Leo and it isn't easy at all. I lost one of my best friend of over 8yrs for some pretty stupid reasons. We had had other small falling outs but I was always the bigger person and was the first to call and mend things. My friend was always very childish so I knew that I was always the one that had to take the first step in patching things up. Finally after our last fight I just couldn't do it anymore. Part of me was like does she even care? While another part of me asked myself why she never went and apologized first, was I not worth it? A few years passed and I thought I'd try again and her pride was just too strong. Even if she knows she is wrong she will never admit it and because of that we aren't friends anymore. It hurts since it could have been avoided but in the end I cant make her be someone shes not. She is who she is, stubborn pride and all. I wish you the best of luck on your difficult journey. Its hard to lose those you care about and even worse to ask yourself if your real friends are even friends at all. However its necessary and you'll be glad you went through it in the end.
