I actually think that might be true. The tension between those two already cause people to make gay jokes about them despite it being obvious that Naruto likes girls and Sasuke just being neutral to anything sexual.
 
Also, I don't think it's that common that there's a story with a male hero and a female rival, so that would've also been innovative.
 
I think most commonly it's a hero and rival who are both male or female, or (I think mostly in Shoujo) a female hero and male rival. So having a story being told from the perspective of a guy that wants to be acknowledged by a girl in terms of both power and love is something I would like to see.

we might , what if in the flashback , Kishi shows us how Naruto started having a crush on her , you never know Naruto and Sakura-Chan may have had their little moments when they was small but only naruto might remember the moments . while Sakura-Chan for some reason forgot when she started liking Sasuke .  kitten but once again thats wishful thinking on my part ...

I think we have an idea, on the begining Sakura was shy and even mocked by others and she didnt had friends due to her behavior, could be some sort of empathy perhaps.

(Srry about that late response) You guys are right, Sakura doesnt belong in that chapter with regrets, however I would like to see a NS  moment next chapter because Sakura is in his heart. (Literally and figuratively).

This is what I am hoping for, but time will tell. Naruto and Sakura seem to know each other before the manga began and Naruto did already developed crush so why not. We learned when the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke began. Now it's the best time to showcase it especially since we happen to have Naruto going against Naruto dark side (Obito).

I know it all along but at do you recognize that Hinata only female character who appeared in in last manga panel. I think its good that if Kishi-sensei revisit original concept of Naruto, since anime / manga market already too crowded by idiot hero x Tsundere.

 The last manga panel is just of Naruto, all powered up and ready to go. Hinata appeared to two panels(Or was it three? She may have appeared with the other members of team 8, unless I'm thinking of another chapter). Sakura was a rather large focus of this chapter and the one most obviously affected by Naruto's emotions, but apparently that's just blotted over.

 

There are NO pairing moments in this chapter, the manga does not revolve around pairings and I'm tired of people trying to find pairing 'proof' in every single freaking chapter.

 

Whatever floats their boat I guess.

She appeared 3. Sakura appeared multiple times because she was highly focused and most likely get a huge impact in the next chapter because she was centered that she was losing hope. This chapter explains his feelings on many downside in his life (deaths of many) and he don't want to let it all go to waste. That's it. Are we saying those normal soldiers are more important than Minato because they were last? No, the point is understanding his regrets. But don't worry, the next volume is possibly the end of pairing war as well as the war. Be prepared.

I actually thought the exact same thing with Sakura and Ino. If Ino was a guy, I'm sure Sakura would have fallen in love with him.

Ino would be the most hottest guy in the class (probably moreso than Sasuke), he would be Sakura's savior saving her from bullies, and helping her get out of her shy shell, and Sakura would work hard being inspired and wanting to be like him. In a way, it kind of reminds me of MinaKushi, childhood sweethearts growing up together and driving each other forward.
