You know... it's weird because i already think of it countless times and never had this feeling, but today while i was reading your post i thought :

 

But... what the hell for Kishi would have created her to be a civilian in a manga about NINJAS, other than to become Naruto's love interest ? I don't know if it's a crack theory that popped in my head just know but... thinking of it... it's really weird. What would have been the purpose of Hinata ? We pretty never see civilians, only ninjas more of the time... Moreover this old drawing with her and Naruto keeps bugging me since I saw it LOL.

 

It's really weird because when i'm reading the manga, my logic screems NaruSaku.

 

Please don't yell at me everyone LOL it was just a thought and I would like to have you non-partial thoughts ^^
 

maybe she was supposed to be the original Ramen Girl before Ayame but she wouldn't look right as the ramen girl imo , so then Kishi thought about making Hinata's love interest Naruto because he knew romance also brings forth more readers .. therefore he dragged it out til the end .  but NS was obvious since chapter 3 .

Its again seemingly funny how Sakura in the situation of everyone seeing his regrets, she manages to be in a unique position. Remember when I said her land of iron stuff could come back into effect for future development? It did in part from the 630 speech, but Sakura herself learned she was basically part of those things that caused him pain. Now despite the current situation which showcased all the deaths he had seen and was regretful for them, its seemingly funny how the unique regret here was yes Sasuke. What did this tie into? The promise. So Sakura wasn't directly mourning anyone majorly (save possibly chiyo but kishi showcased that oriented towards Gaara for the revival purposes). Yet before this event, remember how long ago Sakura first learned of his troubles? The Nine tails, the atakskui, the 4 tailed event, sai's reveal, the land of iron. All of those, Sakura at least had a good idea and was well aware of the trouble and had tried to help or became overprotective of him because of those situations, but now I'm just saying, its really really possible to be a set up for a future NS moment considering unlike anyone else, the screentime of the past, its only Sakura who knew and had a head start of the experience towards Naruto's troubles. She is in a unique position again. Its funny, the death montage is seen as the main regrets here but the Sasuke leaving aspect which not only impacted Naruto but also Sakura, this one sticks out like a sore thumb. Weather Naruto's feelings are continually conveyed in the next chapter or not, there is still a possibility for further reaction from Sakura to this, if it really is like that then that Sasuke factor could also show something oriented from the land of iron. It wouldn't be surprising to see Sakura discover the aspects of the promise or why he couldn't tell her how he felt.

 

Anyone else feel like this just because of the Sasuke and old promise situation? Naruto not being able to confess because of the Sasuke situation may arise again soon I feel.

The thing is Kishi has been very direct with by showing us for the longest time that NS will be canon with Kushina treating Minato the same was as Sakura-Chan treated Naruto , Tsuande rejecting Jairaya the same was as Sakura-Chan first did with Naruto and not to top of the fact that the new generation is supposed to surpass the old all of that was direct hints in itself that NS will be end pairing .  he never once made Naruto look at Hinata the same way as Hinata looked at Naruto  and whatever people believed it wasn't his intentions to make people believe that NH will be ending painrg . The same with SS , he never made Sasuke look at Sakura-Chan the same way as a matter of fact Kishi has been very blunt even going as far as telling us that Sakura-Chan's love for sasuke is selfish and not real , he stated it in chapter 18 - 27 and the fact that Sasuke only showed to disrespect Sakura-Chan more and more and breakiung her heart while Naruto was silently picking up the pieces . It wasn't a coincidence that Naruto and Sakura-Chan ended up together just to get closer on the way . 

 

Kishi has given us so many parallels , development and the fact that Sakura-Chan started looking at naruto the same way as Naruto looked at her Kishi has been very blunt about Ns being endgame . Its not Kishi's fault that some feel like NH and SS will be end pairing I believe it wasn't his intentions . Kishi has been giving EVERYBODY hints that NarutoXSakura-Chan will be end game .

I think she was created to make drama between Naruto and Sakura ,especially to push Sakura s bit . Jelly bean ^_^. That or to be a too little to attached to Naruto.

 

I can see why they say he is because he is in the mind set that NS is canon so anything else would be like "What the hell?" I don't know, but it is funny that other pairings halted.

1 more good moment and NS i canon , that's what i think .

I think i would ship if she was a civilian, the fact she's a hyuuga doesnt give any chemistry of her with Naruto, which is why i dislike her character and the reason she's overrated gets worse.

I cant stand her eyes, and the byakugan makes it worse, her hair because exactly the same as other hyuuga ninjas make it creepy as hell, and other thing i cant imagine Naruto's kids with byakugan.

 

Example of a good civilian that is a love interest would be Rose Thomas from full metal alchemist. while she has a crush on Edward later on but it's not explored.

I think I heard (though I don't know how accurate the information is) that Hinata was supposed to be the ramen chief's daughter and only have a very small role, but Kishi decided to make her a ninja when the chuunin exams came up to even out the teams. Her crush was probably still going to be the central part of her character, the little shy, civilian girl with feelings for the hero, but on a smaller scale. Meaning we probably would have seen a lot less of her than we do now. But that's just my guess.

Actually, Hinata was just made to be a civilian. That's it. Love interest was made up or something. Originally, it was supposed to be Naruto and Kakashi only but his story would have end super quick, so he was told to make a rival, which he did, and he thought to himself, "Hm, a heroine for my story would be great" so he made Sakura. As for Hinata, well I heard that she was made just to fit in the 3-man team, but I don't know. I do know that she was made to be a fanservice in terms of her "you know", but yeah, he pretty much covered it. Luckily, AU! Universe granted him that. That's all.

Neji did throw the phrase '' You are not suppose to be a ninja , you are too gentle , just quit !'' . Maybe it was just a reminder of sorts ?Dunno .

The main reason for me why Kishi created Sakura was to give a consistent reason for Naruto rivalry on Sasuke, only later he started working on Sakura to be a heroine.

I agree with you so much there is no chemistry between her and Naru. Not at all.

And I think too that Byakugan doesn't suit Naruto's kids at all ! Moreover, i can't imagine Hinata (or any other Hyuuga) spoil the hyuuga clan by marrying with someone out of the clan. It never arrived in the past i think, we never saw something like this in the manga.

Well, all you really need to do is look at the manga as a whole and not let fear cloud your perception. And, even if NaruHina was the original intention, doesn't mean anything because plans can change.

I don't know if you are familiar with Avatar: The Last Airbender, but in that series, the creators originally planned to pair Zuko and Katara, but decided that it wouldn't work and that to wouldn't be right to jilt Aang, the main character, like that since he loved Katara. So they changed the storyline to make Aang and Katara the end pairing.
