Japan had mixed reactions to naruto ending, kishimoto admited he is kitten writing romance, The last confirmed to be a stupid OOC shojo movie

Is it sad that I don't want closure? I want it to remain bad and I don't want to give any reason to praise it. Even if that closure is well written, it won't undo the damage already dealt. It will still feel like a cop out.

I rather have no closure and complain of it having no closure than to continue wanting a closure and getting a crappy one.

This is probably the best outlook on it.

 

Based off Kishi's writing as of late any "closure" would probably be forced, ooc, and terrible as well.

I agree.SS got closure in 699 and the hatred for that pairing actually went of the charts on Naruto Forums.It was never that bad,I hope he doesnt taint our ship with his writing otherwise like SS it will be ruinedb beyond repair.Naruto behaving like he has no feelings for Sakura is much better than closure

And yeah..Kishimoto just needs to leave NS the kitten alone already--we got lucky not seeing how Naruto even got together with Hinata. Leaves the reasoning open. He needs to do the same for NS.

Not at all. You know any closure in The Last will be horribly painful for NS fans and tremendously forced.

I know I should be "over it" by now, but I still can't believe we actually got 699 & 700. How can anyone be happy with what Kishi did to his characters?

Well, if it happened to Mass Effect 3 with their extra edition of the ending with people still complaining, then I'm sure this would be the same. It makes it worse that people is truly going OoC starting from the new era start alas last half of 699.

Even though there would a so called "closure" in the movie, there is no doubt that Kishi screwed up the ending. I mean, 698 chapters/698 weeks plus the breaks versus a 110 minute movie. Seriously?

There's something been bothering me about the new "generation" of kids, particularly Sasuke's and Sakura's daughter sarada or Salada or however you say her name. After reading and getting into the story of Naruto anyone would eventually get the idea of repeating generations will always happen right??

So one question I gotta ask.......why didn't Sasuke and Sakura have a "Son" instead of a "daughter"??? O_o

If there would be a new generation wouldn't Naruto's son Bolt have a "rival" his age? And wouldn't Sasuke's "son" fit the bill for that kind of role??

Kishimoto has said that DBZ was one of his favorite mangas and have learned a lot from it, so wouldn't he bring the aspect of Son Vs Son into his manga in the end at least if there would a next generation shown in the future!?!? That just ruins any hope of what kind of future work of naruto will have because it wouldn't have one of its greatest aspects in the story.......rivalry :(

If the series actually focuses on the kids its probably going to suck.Akira tried that approach in DBZ but it failed miserably.His original intention was to end the series at the Cell Saga but he was forced wo write further.Later his plans actually were to make Gohan,Goku's son the protagonist but fans pressurised him to bring Goku back and hence they were forced to do GT on Goku and not his son.The MC being a side character in a series never looks that good

 

@Moon I am ready to bet 20 bucks that Salada's existence is only pairing fodder and his real rival will be introduced later

That too but let's face it, it's an auto-OoC from the get go and that's already something you can't really say otherwise.

I'm not sure if i'm being too nice but I think all this ooc-ness coming out from 699-700 will still be considered a part of their character development, it's just that we're all blind to how it occurred plus the fact that they have this new era coming. It's like they passed it down to their kids but then a lot of things were sacrificed just to pave the way in for new characters (with not so new personalities and traits) to come in and hunch we've been getting that SJ and SP doesn't like the naruto franchise dying just yet

Doesn't help 699 for Sakura. And Naruto's main drive will be stabbed in the back. And the bridge that was constructed was there for nothing because it led nowhere, so blow it up. And the idea of exclusive final minute moment (flashback) is happening to make it work (worse than ThunderCats recent edition). I can go on for a while. This has more problems than Superman able to go back in time in the first Christopher Reeve movie.
