Oh god dammit. I want my Diablo III! I've been patient, but this is getting ridiculous! DX

I know. Looks like I'll have to wait to build my dream desktop for these two games. Hope they don't go Infinity Ward and pull dedicated servers for hosting games.
Ah, well, hopefully at that time I'll have a job to build my desktop and play these two games. They're actually the only two games I want for computer.

Same. Computer gaming has kind of gone down the toilet. It seems like they rarely have much that makes you want to invest in a gaming rig.
Shame; years ago it seemed like all the innovative, cutting edge games were coming out for the computer.

The argument is always:
Why spend upwards of 800+ for a computer, when you can buy a console for less and have money left over for games? Or the fact that, once you build a desktop or buy a laptop. Give it less than a year, and some parts in your desktop are already obsolete. (Or almost obsolete)
You just can't catch up with the pace of computer gaming. At least consoles give you time to recuperate.

The nano suit is so awesome Batman and Marcus Fenix have it on their wish list. Iron man is still trying to hack in the database to find out what the suit is made of.

>Implying PC gamers buy games herp derp
Seriously though, a good gaming PC will last at least 2 years, or you didn't spend enough or spent too much on what you bought. After about 2 years, you probably wont be able to run games on high settings, but they will almost certainly look better than on a console anyway.
I personally think PC gaming is dying because of a couple of reasons. 1. Piracy is still rampant as hell despite developers trying to reduce it. 2. A big advantage PC gaming had over consoles were some very good exclusives and onling gaming, and with the introduction of Xbox Live, online console gaming has become alot more popular. As for the exclusives, developers can make alot more money by porting their games to consoles, so they do, in fact, some developers these days will have a console as the lead platform and port to PC, which has resulted in lower quality games for the PC.
Overall, those two factors combined, have resulted in developers starting to care less about PC gamers, because they can still make alot of money on consoles.

my 3.5 year old 500$ pc can still run games at a much higher graphical setting than both the ps3 or 360 can even dream of.
And getting the same exact pc now wouldn't cost you more than 250-300$. Also... games are soooo much cheaper on the pc.
atleast in other parts of the world that aren't the US. Dragon age launched officially here for 20$ on the pc. So the argument that
a console is cheaper is moot in the long run. the games alone make a console a much more expensive choice.

Id rather not have to lug around a desktop for a lan party when I can just bring a console, controllers, the wires and the games. I realize desktops can be built for around 500 now, but honestly, I just prefer console gaming as a whole. Since PC gaming here is rather expensive as well. Then there's the whole piracy issue, people download and then have hacks and what not online even if the developers stop them.

Like there are no pirates who download games for consoles? The whole piracy largely exists only on the pc is a myth. And the people who use hacks online aren't pirates, they're just cheaters.

I don't see it happening, the market for JRPG's isn't as strong as it used to be, though I think FFXIII will post big numbers.

Only thing missing now is an adaptation for God of War, Gears of War, Mass Effect, and possibly L4D.....

Such sales over yet another shooter. I don't get it.

I guess people prefer shooting over role-play?

I balance both on my consoles, even though sometimes shooters do dominate my list of games. >_>

Well, I wasn't really commenting on that aspect. I'm just kind of flabergasted that shooters are still such a big deal to most people. Granted, I play several and I enjoy them, but I'm not excited by many of them anymore. I mean, they've been a driving, over-saturated force in gaming for so long that such excitement for yet another is like... yeah.
Don't get me wrong; I may end up getting Modern Warfare 2 at some point in the future. I'll quite likely enjoy it too, if I do. I just don't understand why it's such a big deal. I had a similar problem with the Halo franchise; though I suppose I understand the excitement for this one a lot more than I did for that.
