This would be cool but it would most likely give away too much of the movie... He should at least do a WSJ cover + colour spread, though.

Am I the only one who thinks it'll be great character development for Naruto to finally accept that if he wants to obtain the peace that Jiraiya wanted and to finally end the Curse of Hatred that Sasuke has to die. He can't put Sasuke above the lives of everyone else. I always had this image that Naruto would end with Sasuke's death and Naruto being the one to do it.

Knowing Kishimoto though, we'll have TNJ and a happy ending for everyone with a short fight so he can wrap up everything before the movie. Oh well, let's just get this over with.

You're not the only one. I would love this. But of course, we know Kishi will never do this.

Well that fine for you if that's what you want, but I couldn't care less about rubbing victory in other people's faces. I've mostly just avoided the pairing war because I see the whole thing as petty and immature. They like what they like, I like what I like and I just leave it at that. I'm not at all concerned about whether I 'win' or 'lose'. I'm only interested in the story's quality, which has been on a decline for a while.

i know but then naruto reminded him of what he did in the wave arc although i guess that means nothing at this point since he always had an agenda

What Sasuke did at the wave arc specifically was save Naruto's life as he always does. Just how Sasuke saved Naruto from going into the Tsukuyomi. Sasuke even makes it seem like even Naruto knew that Sasuke would keep him safe, bu Naruto retorts that there are some things people do out of instinct and not out of a thought process. It's not like Sasuke saved Sakura and Kakashi out of a secret feelings he contains, but rather Naruto knew that Sasuke would save him so to help save Sakura and Kakashi, Naruto stood next to them so that Sasuke would have no choice, but to save them as well.

It just shows that Sasuke doesn't really care about anyone except for maybe himself, Itachi, and Naruto. Everyone else is expendable.

Because he was the strongest person there, he needed him. He definitely could not do it alone.

Edit: also, he seems to have a personal reason to want to kill naruto, if when Sasuke saved naruto from obito is anything to go by (cuts the team 7 picture right through naruto, "I will be the one to cut away the past")

Not everyone was apart of the war. He was not planning on killing them all, just enslaving some and killing others who he knows would stand in his way.

Also, trying to make sense of a villains plans is in itself insanity. Sasuke hasn't made any sense after Itachi died, so it is futile to try and start now.

Yes but when everyone was about to be killed by the Juubi the only ones he wanted to save was Juugo and Naruto (who planned to kill)

It has nothing to do with smartness. Her emotions will be out of control during this fight and at such times a person doesn't act instinctively but rather acts impulsively.

 

For example: The bridge scene where Naruto transformed to four-tailed form. I'm sure Sakura knew it would be dangerous to approach Naruto then but what did she do? She got very emotional and acted on impulse. At that moment the only thing that was important to her was Naruto's safety, not her safety.
