The sales arent dropping because of the scans, it's the same thing as blaming the fault that dragon age 2 sold less because of piracy, GTA V was pirated a lot and still made 1 billion.
The fact is that the sales are dropping both for One Piece and Naruto mostly Naruto is because of the quality of the story overall.

Well it's their own fault. They want to make more money so they decide to make the story longer.

Their own system bit them in the ass.

If you say so. I thought it was the JUMP sales that dropped. Maybe there is a problem of quality, but I think if the scans are available why people would buy it ? There is only a few that keep buying it to encourage the mangaka.

Why people still buy games when they can buy it for free at the piratebay?

The only buying to encourage the mangaka makes no sense, people buy it because it better reading a magazine volume than reading on the internet.

If gamer buy the original gta v instead the pirate one, will they still sell 1 billion or less or more than that?

There are several reasons why people pirate a game, making it unacessible for only those wh ocould pay by taking away freedoms of the internet to enforce it, wont make those people buy that game.
The pirate sometimes buy the copy or wait for it to be cheaper like i did with witcher 2 and even so the original was way better because i got achievements and stuff like that in comparison with a pirated one.
Or even he wont buy the game at all despite being "good".

Getting chapters on Fridays again wouldn't be bad. We'd have something to look forward to at the end of the week. And if they start coming on Mondays, that's okay too, because we can start our week off with a Naruto chapter (although depending on what's in the chapter it could be a good or bad start to the week lol...) either way it's still only a week's wait so it's fine. I hope the wait for this chapter is worth it, though.

Not even mad, getting Rokujouma on fridays, Seiren on Mondays my week is already good when this season is over.
Hitsugi no chaika season 2, Fate/stay night and some surprises it's been a long of time since i was anxious for a Naruto chapter release.

As I was reading this I was thinking how strange it is that the Big Bad turns out to be a mother on the opposite side. I thought this manga was all about the next generation? But it would up being so heavily focused on the machinations of parents. (as well as old leaders and old broken relationships, of course.) Weird. Maybe 'The Next Phase' of Naruto will be focused on the future. Because it seems like that whole next gen thing has been put by the wayside in these battles. 

 

I personally think the whole "next generation" theme is not more significant than any other theme in the manga, but it simply blew out of proportion because shippers use it all the time. We really only had one arc regarding the "new generation", the Immortals Arc.

LOL, this is not that good a story that we would move heaven and earth to read. But yeah, we would do anything to read the chapter in which NS becomes canon.

Many inst 1 million i also bought up terraria to support the developer, but still the original copy was better than the pirated one.
Since the lack of update support and achievements.

It happens if the mangaka product is no better than a pirated copy, the manga as product is superior to reading it online therefore there's value in buying the manga.

There are many light novels, mangas and etc.. that are unacessible to us and only if you know japanese you would be able to read it not even being capable of buying, they are losing money to the fact they are doing little to expand the current market of manga while putting their effort to shutdown piracy.
They are pretty much losing money.

ALso i've seen mangakas getting fired because of the lack of popularity of the manga despite having decent sales.

I'm just saying that this stuff doesn't kill sale. It helps in fact. Didn't stop all games that got pirate off the chart. It helps for people to be interest, rather than rely on someone to buy. I can see live pay per view being a factor, but products, not so much.

Piracy does help to a degree. It helps people discover new things. Things that they wouldn't otherwise buy but now that they know about them, they may buy whatever that product is.

But at the same time those who pirate may not actually buy that product. Because they already got/played/viewed/listened to it.

It's a double-edged sword.

It is. It just that you about to tilt to one side which would be people forced to buy, and not many people today wants to deal with that. I don't know what's going to happen to the free site, but I hope it doesn't discourage them to translate, like "Why bother if you get Viz."

This is not comparable. But it's good to have paper manga and not only numeric manga.
