Yeah, we're still doing the RP. And it's still fun! I just made up an owl-man that speaks Spanish. XD I've been busy with work though, so I haven't been posting as much as everyone else.

Well I've been okay I guess. I landed myself in a position at KFC so I've been pretty occupied these school holidays. Been getting back into things I used to be interested in, too... like FMA, Gyakuten Saiban, and all that. I watched the live action recently, as you can tell by my set, and surprisingly it's actually really good.

Oh yeah, and I did see all the drama that's been happening on the boards lately. Didn't it used to be peaceful before? What happened when I left?

We're currently on Arc 4, and we're shooting for eight arcs total, so about at the halfway point I guess. It's still in the Hentai section, since there's some borderline/sexual stuff. Maybe if we moved it someday, I could send you a link. Otherwise, you'll have to wait till you're 18.

Gyakuten Saiban is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, right? My sister is/was really into those games on the DS (I'm not sure if they're released anywhere else, I thought Capcom put them on iOS or something). I showed her the trailer for the new 3DS game though, and she said she found the last game or two to be a little weird. Like, that they were incorporting fantasy elements into it? I guess I didn't understand what her complaint was. XD

They look like fun games though. I'm glad the live action version was really good. Does it follow the story of the games very well, or is it more unique?

Umm...basically there was a big Naruto/Hinata scene in the manga, and everyone's either jumping ship or yelling at people for jumping ship or telling people to jump ship or...well, you get the idea, it's just a mess.

I read the chapter, despite having close to no interest in Naruto anymore, and...I dunno. Kishi's characterizations just seem really awkward now. Hinata's suddenly really outgoing, and I feel like I missed some steps between now and her being the quiet shy girl. I don't know, I feel like Kishi's just getting tired of writing. I guess I can't really blame him, he's been doing it for like ten years now. Ah well.

At least Bleach will never fail!

Yeah it is, although its literal meaning is Turnabout Trial. The games were released on iOS, but the first three games were released in Japan and only the first game was released in North America.

By the last couple of games, I'm assuming your sister's talking about Apollo Justice and that Miles Edgeworth game? As far as I know, the only fantasy elements I've seen in the games are the Kurain Channeling Technique, where your assistant can contact a dead person's spirit, and this bracelet thing in the fourth game, which lets you know when someone is nervous when saying certain things in their testimony or something like that. Oh and you can use this magatama jewel thing to break mental barriers of witnesses to get them to spill the beans. The last one I can think of is this device you can use in the Miles Edgeworth game to recreate a crime scene (they're kind of like holograms or something). Ack, it's hard to explain it all. It's easier to understand if you've actually played the games. I don't know if that's what your sister meant by fantasy elements, but for me those are what come to mind.

I do know that Capcom's introducing a new system for the new game called the Heart Scope, which lets you examine the witness' emotions or something. I don't know, sounds weird.

A lot of live action movies I've seen that are based on games haven't really been impressive for me. Although there were a few minor things that could use improvement, overall I really enjoyed the movie, and that's saying something.

The movie is based on the first game, and while the original game in Japanese has four cases, the movie primarily focuses on the second and fourth, and I think the fourth case takes up about 3/4 of the movie. XD It does follow the story well, generally speaking, though there are some differences in venues, characters and even some of the order of events, but I think it's still understandable with what happens, especially if you've played the game.

Also, while it's based on the games, it's also an actual courtroom drama so it's a lot darker than the game itself, but it's got some funnies too. I think there was this part when during the first day of Edgeworth's trial, Phoenix Wright said something extremely obvious and everyone in the courtroom literally hit the ground in like one second. XD oh yeah, and I totally lost it at Edgeworth's hair.

But yeah, I thought the movie was gonna be weird, I actually really liked it. Some people may say otherwise, but it was pretty awesome.

Ah okay...I see. My sister is sort of into anime/Japanese stuff, but I think she prefers contemporary themes over fantasy stuff. I can see her losing interest if they brought in magical stuff in other games.

Though, I guess she loves Pokemon games, so....(*really has no idea)

And yeah, I'll have to look into playing them eventually! I just have so many random games to play right now. I don't know why I keep getting new games before completing older ones, I have at least six games in my backlog right now.

Of course, with Fire Emblem Awakening coming out in February over here, that's gonna take priority over all of them!

Oh okay, fair enough then. I do have to say that some things in the game can get pretty weird. If you ever come around to playing it, be careful of the final case in the third game. Stuff gets crazy.

Oh wow that's awesome, congrats! Aaaaand yeah lol it's been a while since I was last here so I kinda forgot. but I can say the same thing with you calling me Imouto call me whatever you want though.

I read about that in the Zelda thread, I FLAILED. I'm crying though because it's coming out next year and I was goping for it to come out this year so I can buy the Wii U. I guess I'll have to wait until a reasonable price drop.... or the release of Smash Bros.
