My thoughts:
- Kushina warns him not to fall in love with the first girl he meets, but look for someone better like herself.
—>To me this is interesting as Naruto did fall for the first girl he met. Is this perhaps an anti-hint towards the Naruto x Sakura pairing?

*sigh* Alright let's get this out of the way. In Chapter 505 Naruto reflected on Kushina's advice but he did not think about the romance part, meaning that he will either make his own decision or that romance isn't a huge impact on his priorities right now so it's all fair game. We do NOT need to reference that part again and again to establish anything cause he wasn't thinking about it. Good enough explanation?

But everyone obviously knows who Kishi is hinting at tbh. he won't show it yet because Kishi wants to milk this pairing subplot a for what its worth until the right scene to bring it back (witch i believe will be the conversation between Naruto and Sakura before the final battle). After Naruto reflected on her last words we see he ended up listening to her as a baby and eventually did everything she wanted for him including falling in love with the girl like her. Sakura. subconciously lol.

There is nothing to be fear about everyone was talking about NaruHina been dead after that revelation on YouTube because Sakura have many similar events with Kushina and they both look up at Naruto and Minato the same way. Kishi was clear when he make that chapter, just because Naruto did not say anything about it, that doesn't means that all readers most think same way. he never like anyone apart from Sakura.....

II fully agree: Kishi was sending a message, just like how he was sending a message when he make Yamato made that speech to Sakura......

This is still not clear Sakura has Naruto in her heart, but Sasuke is in her mind Sasuke is her golden prize her dream.
Sasuke is like a Shakira or beyonce for Sakura.....
When she start been honest with her heart on herself, we will all see that she loves Naruto and not the prity boy.....

Living Lavish already posted a link to it, but it was already confirmed that the original translation was what appeared in the manga, "Don't pick a weird one..." I think Viz just translated it differently to either avoid awkwardness or just keep shipping fans happy. In any case, Kishi's original manga used the line we're all familiar with.

But, if you do look at the Viz translation, I don't think it's straight up Naru/Hina either. "First girl who comes your way" could mean many things. Is it the first girl Naruto fell for? Is it the first girl that fell for him? Or the first girl who confessed her feelings to him?
As you can see, even in that translation, things aren't so cut-and-dry for N/H. Besides, the "..find a girl like me" part was left the same. And I believe the implication behind that was pretty clear.

I think the only way for Sakura to not view Sasuke in a romantic way is by a return to normality. If Sakura decided to ignore her feeling for him before that happened there would be a huge "what if" in her heart, team 7 not smiling together again would be a missing piece of conclusion for her. When it come to Sasuke she is stuck with the feelings she had for him when she was younger. Naruto also was stuck with his younger view of Sasuke up until their last reunion where he got a new resolve with him, to die together. I do hope it doesn't come to that.
Sakura's love for Sasuke was the only bond she formed with him before he left, Naruto had the brotherly bond and Kakashi had the teacher bond. If she discarded that connection with Sasuke she would be left with no bond with him, she attempted to do so by confessing to Naruto, which she thought would mentally prepare her to kill Sasuke. Until team 7 can be together again she can't form new different bond with him and therefore remains stuck the way she has always been.

You and me both. If she doesn't know the truth she'll still be caught up with this Sasuke fantasy in one way or another. The truth of the bench scene is one of the key points in making NS canon IMO.

That's like, the prince from all your dreams and fantasies finally coming real and telling you all the things you want to hear; including your insecurities being loved by said person. Of course she'd be head over heels stuck in that fantasy if it was outright brought to her attention as a child and was displayed as a real situation. The only thing was, it was Naruto - posing as Sasuke. So technically, she's still stuck in her little fantasy. Turmoil, really. I GOT THE CHARACTER DATA BOOK!!!!!!!! Okay now FOR the main EVENT!!! Drum roll PLEASE!!!........................................ OKAY so We're ALL

dying to know what the book says about NS right!? Okay then Not sure how far it goes story wise but on Sakura's profile it says she hasn't concluded what her feelings

are for Naruto But It only mentions him and Sai in her relationship section, and mentions nothing of her feelings for Sasuke except in past tense( Although it has that In

love with arrow pointing to him) and has an arrow showing she worries about Naruto a lot. So It's really half and half because it mainly talks about how Naruto

changed her and character development, and there was this section called "a Woman's heart and her short temper" where it shows her reunion with Naruto and how she

was happy to see him then gives him a BIG fist to the face, stating how random her emotions can be: from sweet and affectionate to aggressive and violent, or something

like that. And get this, when ever it talks about her feelings or romantic interest it has pictures of her and Naruto ONLY. NO mention of her feelings for Sasuke at all

besides a desire to bring him home. So it admits at least she feels SOMETHING for him, and it's more than friendship because she couldn't be conflicted if she only saw

Naruto as a friend. And a bonus for us (but nothing to rub in the more rabid NH fans' noses about) Is that It said nothing about Hinata's feelings for Naruto except for

an infatuation arrow pointing to him. NOTHING about her crush on him in her profile. Okay so that's all folks!!
