This I agree with.  Rather have no one win than the wish fulfillment fantasy be the official couple.  
 
It's just...Hinata is so boring as a character.  What does she do as a person?  I can't think of anything.

Thats exactly why i dislike her. She has no developement she does nothing useful and thinks about nothing other than getting with naruto. Shes just so one dimensional its sad.

Naruto is a wish-fullfilement type of character though.

Maybe Kishi wants to draw the Naruto as a father epilogue cause the film's promotion is preventing him to do that.

Exactly if this was a movie instead of a long running manga there would be no question. I mean isnt it a given that the main character/hero gets the girl i mean come one, what was the last show or movie you saw that the MC has to settle for someone else :/

It happens, but not in a simple story like Naruto that is about his getting all he ever wanted.

Agreed especially when its paralelled to others like j man and tsunade and the theme is surpassing predecessors i mean how much more obvious can it be. Plus narutos the ninja that never gives up lol so we got it in the bag :)

I know the obito paralles is kinda of annoying to some.

 

Its interesting that much like Sakura, RIn was very supportive of Obito's dream to be a Hokage. When Naruto has a small glimpse of his past, its his dream to be hokage related to her and his failure to save her that caught his attention the most to the pont of tears.

You guys have no idea how happy I am that I became a NS shipper, I love the narusaku bond, SS and NH may have some nice panels at times, but it's got nothing on the long term development and friendship/love of the NS ship.


I'm just feeling oddly happy right now.

Kishi said it won't be open ended. Naruto is with Sakura or Hinata at the end of this. There's only one option that is powerful and meaningful, the other rushed, dysfunctional and would waste years of development.
 

Sakura and Naruto, no matter how hard they try, cannot have someone mean more to them in their lives. They might try, but they will always be closer to each other than any other characters. They have gone through so much together, supported one another, watched each other grow; laugh cried and fought with each other. SS and NH would be disgusting because the wrong people ended up together. I feel like if SS and NH or one of them happened, Sakura would eventually realize what they had and be unhappy where she is.

Come on Kishi, you've been shipping them since day 1. Don't throw away such a human, hilarious, and powerful love story.

But what if Naruto being a father is the Surprise conclusion that was mentioned about the movie? We still don't know 100% that the last chapter is a timeskip, for all we know when Kishi said he'd end the story with Naruto as a father he was talking about the movie. This is Kishi afterall, his words don't always match the content of the manga.

yup!! I would have said maybe Hinata does something to win Naruto over BEFORE the epilogue in the manga, but from what the movie is telling us, she didn't do anything to pursue/ further her relationship with Naruto in that time frame.

 

so it would make no sense to have a fast forward and have Hinata suddenly be Naruto's wife.

What scares me is that I can see sasuke being a vagabond until naruto becomes hokage and allows him to come home and then thats when SS happens. Would be such crap. Sasuke does not in any way deserve Sakura and I dont care how much we like her right now if she's that dumb I will dislike her pretty intensely. If she doesn't realize he's poison in her life at the very least, not to mention realize her repeatedly pointed out unrealized sub-surface feelings for Naruto, I will disappointed in her character.

doesn't add up to reveal the endgame ship in a trailer and put off a large portion of the fanbase. They tailored it and left it open-ended for a reason. I think they're being purposefully deceptive to create hype and curiosity.
