Hahahahahaha, hahahaha.
That was really funny because while I was giving Chatte a link from another member on NF forum who also do rant about Sakura, you would not believe the amount of NH fans I still see still using that argument, keep in mind that this happen today.

I have my theory too. It is like this:

-Juubi in its last form, Madara succeed in the mass genjutsu (but then Naruto fix the problem).

-Then everyone begins to dream, what happen when Sakura dreams in everything she wants even the genjutsu will show that she loves Naruto.
- Or the opposite Naruto dreams being Hokage and by his side is Sakura, so in that moment would know that Naruto still truely loves Sakura and so will bye bye to 615.

Hello peeps. cool.gif Just came back from debating with a NaruHina fan on Slexstrem's video (Still can't believe some of them still try and argue that the "only reason Naruto didn't respond to Hinata was because he was too busy on missions" or that "Naruto's reaction to Hinata's confession was much more telling than his initial reaction to Sakura's confession". facepalm.png God, do they selectively read or something?) and I found an interesting argument. He said that Naruto said he'd confess when he completes his promise but he bluntly said "The promise doesn't have anything to do with it. I personally wanna save Sasuke." Since the promise is gone ... what does this mean? Could it mean he's getting over her or he's going to confess sooner? Neither? Just some food for thought. happy.gif

I feel like the promise is still part of it, but Naruto is doing it for both Sakura and himself now.

While I'm ok with Tsunade's death, I still don't want to happen. I don't want to see Naruto and Sakura to feel bad about it, especially Sakura. If she is going to die, I hope she will talk to them. At the very least, I want Tsunade to recap her life before she pass out. I can't help but to think, her tears for Jiraiya back in Konoha seems to leave a follow up, but I could be wrong here. Well, it looks like it will be a while that we will learn her faith.

I agree; if Tsunade is going to die, I hope she gets a chance to talk to them (mainly Sakura) beforehand. Personally, I want Sakura to squeeze all the knowledge she can out of Tsunade before she passes on (because, let's face it, Sakura still has a lot to learn). I hope she develops her genjutsu ability, too. If the manga ends without any other mention of Sakura's natural affinity for genjutsu, I will cut someone.

Well, he said that cause he was about to tell Sakura "the truth" about Itachi and Kakashi told him not to, so he had to say something else. Sai's flashback earlier proved the promise still meant something to him. Plus Naruto was kind of being a prick during her confession lol. That whole arc was a mess.

Which argument ? The one about the tsundere ?
Well, I'm not surprised since they always talk about Sakura like they are sure what they're talking about until someone comes and tell them the type of Sakura's character and what does tsundere means fu.png

Naruto wants to save Sasuke like he always wanted to. Now, when Sakura tells him to forget about the promise he made for her about Sasuke, Naruto said that it wasn't about that promise. Naruto knew how Sasuke felt and how Sasuke was affected, he wants to save him from this and tries to get him back, but he knew that reasoning with him won't be useful anymore and then tells that they're going to fight when they reunite once again. The promise is on his mind but he doesn't know what to do with all the things happening with Sasuke.

Naruto's promise for Sakura is up to Kishi how to deal with it with all the Sasuke might die and resolution of feelings and other things relate to those, for how the story line is going to be written. It doesn't have anything with him getting over her, and as for the confession, he'll confess or he will talk with her without saying " I love you" but more of telling her what he sees in her and such.

As I've said on Smiter's announcement post regarding the current events, the internet is full of stubborn people that WILL disagree with you for the sake of disagreeing, just ignore them, it'll be easier and happier that way.

Guuuys, can I have your help with something regarding NH/NS? I'm having an argument with someone, that declares himself unbiased towards the pairs, YET guess his direction.
So, can someone help me?

The dicussion was this: we were discussing the hand holding, a NH fan had a sign with "kitten you NS Fans, NH is cannon" bla bla, went from there and I told him when the hug happened I think he didn't saw anyone from the forum screaming kitten you NH fans, etc (excuse the language), the hug was misinterpreted with the hug in the Iron Land but we cleared that in the mean time. So... basically let me copy paste to you maybe you'll understand better.

Me: And we were referring at the Pain situation.
And I could bring arguments on why that was also a NS moment, since Kishi himself admitted Sakura was being honest.

Him: Not exactly with the times, are we?

She gave him a hug after facing down a strategic-yield nuclear warhead incarnated into zombie-human form... and survived (not to mention managed to negotiate the bringing back to life of everyone who died).

After hitting him on the head (tsundere is popular in Japanese culture... one of the few times the 'dere' was not forgotten by Sakura).

Me: So we should say not exactly with the times when the other ship is shown?
It's about overall development and behaviors of the fandom, not the times itself.

Him: I think you miss the point.

Naruto had the opportunity to jump up and down and say: "Yay! Sakura likes me! Let's go get some Ramen together!"

He didn't.

Sakura has had the opportunity to go: "I think I'm really starting to go for Naruto, these days."

She hasn't.

Sakura's feelings are pretty obvious. She most certainly has a bond with Naruto, and cares for him. She can even recognize, consciously, why he would be a great 'catch' for any girl. But he doesn't make her loins tingle. It's frustrating - because her mind says that the carnal desire should exist... but it simply doesn't. And it never really will.

That's not to say she doesn't have compassion for him. That's not to say she doesn't care for him. It's just that the type of love that she feels for him is not the type of love that will lead to a romance in an open society.

Sure - stick any guy and girl into a room with no escape and they'll eventually get it on. Stick multiple people in a box canyon and they'll eventually prioritize each other and try to be with the ones they feel are the "best." But in open societies - relationships like Naruto and Sakura don't often develop into romances - at least, not lasting ones. If the romance was going to happen, it would have happened already.

Psychologically, people begin to develop aversions toward sexual concepts of those close to them for long periods of time in a platonic relationship. It's our species' guard against incest (which is why so few childhood friends grow into lovers as teens - while somewhat popular as a theme, it's actually very rare... which may, in a sense, defeat the point of comparing a fiction to reality; though I contend that many elements of reality will affect the progress of a plot whether or not the author is consciously aware of the research).

So, any help? Thanks in advance!

I mean, I have an idea with what I'd want to say, but since English is not my first language, I find it a little hard to express given the fact he uses some type of terms which I know, but I find it hard to connect it into a phrase.

Thanks in advance once again!

Looking at it, the guy you're debating against, isn't really being automatically against NS, he's just pointing out that this is a point that NS could've been canon, but Kishi didn't make it so. A frustrating point that I share. I have no idea why he used that Psychology lesson when he, himself pointed it out as a popular theme in fiction. I also have no idea where he's getting the thoughts that even though Sakura doesn't think that Naruto makes her 'loins' tingle, why she can't change her mind later on.

Although, I now know why being "friendzoned" occurs. Don't use my reasoning, but if you get the chance, thank him for telling me why I get 'friendzoned' a lot. cool.gif

Seriously they really are blind if they think sakura isn't the most popular female character in naruto and has a huge fanbase in japan, kishimoto-sensie's main fanbase. Honsetly, they aren't true naruto fans because they're practically bashing the main heroine of the series who has had AMAZING and deep emotional development, both romace-wise , character-wise and-power wise, and the love interest, Haruno sakura, of the main hero, Uzumaki Naruto. That alone is an insult to kishimoto-sensie's work. Not to mention they rub off the japanese culture, which is important to know if you wanna 100% understand the details of the manga.

My hobbies are drawing, and reading awesome facts about anything I love! Oh and how could I forget, I love playing on my PS3, my favourite online game is Team Fortress 2, favourite character to play with is the scout! (Although I love all of 'em).
Bless the PS2 era...and all those awesome games... (applause to you if you were part of that gaming age, jack and daxter, sly, spyro, crash etc.)

Well, I guess you're right but it just irks me. I mean, you're ok when it comes to NH but you dismiss everything about NS? I really can't understand people sometimes... dry.gif

Well he did win that argument against you but that isn't the best part because basing on his logic and the context of the Manga we have, it's already proven that Sasuke does not see Sakura that way since he consider her annoying same goes for Naruto since he has Hinata pinning over his shoulder for a good while now to a point were she even told that she loves him, but the fact remains to see that the most we see coming from Naruto is that encouragement attitude he has towards Hinata, we never seeing him focusing on her appearance or anything about her he practically ignores her.

Now when you try to apply that same logic with Naruto and Sakura relationship there is were you fail because as far as we Known Sakura has being shown many times admiring Naruto while cheeking out his appearance and good looks, this cannot be said about the other two pairings. So no matter what this guy says to you the same logic applies with the other two pairing and even in a more obvious way.

Something else I want to point out and the main reason why I started to ignore some debaters, is the fact that they love to claim or acts as MR. Kishimoto himself, when they start saying nonsense like Sakura will never love Naruto in an clear romantic way, this when I always walk away since this is just fan speculation, personal desire and biased opinion on their part, worst when none of us knows what will happen in the end.

This is one of those reasons that irks me to be honest, when we clearly have statements throughout the manga and phases when we can clearly see her behavior not to mention actions towards Naruto are quite romantic.
But everyone is biased given the fact that they dislike Sakura... geez, people nowadays. dry.gif
