Don't worry, if Sawyer's 3 main themes of Naruto are to be believed then Sakura should be able to choose Naruto in the end out of her own free will and not because of outside circumstances and obligations like it was in that fiasco of a confession.

I think people misread his attempts to kill her for a few reasons.
(1) Naruto: I have no doubt this relationship will be reconciled even is Sasuke dies. The prominence of the cycle of hate is a bit of dud if this does not happen as Sasuke is the poster child of the whole thing.
This is ultimately Naruto's story and it's about him with Sasuke as a component of that story and not the other way around. As to Naruto, Sasuke has whipped out an assisination technique on him at least three times and actually caused him serious bodily injury. Sasuke is now training to kill Naruto specifically, and has made it a personal mission to destroy his home and everyone one in it. He is threatening to commit Genocide! Whatever it is he has tried to do Sakura, he has done to Naruto and yet, that is not likely to be something that prevents reconciliation. He is still trying to save him even now and still sees him as a brother. In the end, this will still be true.
Second, what distinguishes this from Karin, though, is that Naruto was a willing participate in those fights and actually chased after him at the end of Part 1. If he lets Sasuke leave, that doesn't happen. Karin was plain cold-blooded. I see Sakura as being closer to the Naruto to scenario than to Karin. She was actively involved in the fight when they first found him, she tried to kill him first, but couldn't ultimately follow through. It's not as if he's attempting to kill her just to do it or something like Karin. If such things don't prevent Naruto from reconciling, I don't see it as an huge impediment to SasuSaku. Even now after all that, she still doesn't appear to have completely let go.
I will offer the caveat that being in love and reconcilling aren't the same thing.
(2) Lack of Acknowledge: I think the most recent attempt is significant for another reason though. Sakura says he really wants to fight Kakashi. He's made a person point of wanting to kill Naruto to prove to himself he has the intestinal fortitude to go through with destroying Konoha and everyone in it. It would be the physical destruction of that bond.
As for Sakura....so far, nothing. She tried to kill him and he doesn't appear to have any specific intentions regarding her, unlike everyone else on the original Team 7. If he is harboring any deep feelings for her (of any kind), would he not need to eliminate her (and that bond) as he is doing with Naruto? She seems to have no more significance to him than anyone else in Konoha.

I agree with you. He seems to have no personal acknowledgement of her, and only sees her as another subordinate of Konoha he has to destroy. Its as if he has no feelings for her whatsoever.

when you think about it.....its pretty ironic, since she was the one always trying to talk to him and get to know him better.
but he just pushed away, and now he doesnt think anything of her.

Cause he just simply doesn't care about her. The only thing he has little care for is Naruto, and even that is debatable.

he did care about her at one point.
in part one he cared about team 7 alot.
sasuke got mad when she got hurt by the sound ninja and even cheered her up when she was feeling down once (when she was worried if she was good enough...* i can try and find the chapter if you want*)
and he even thought of team 7 again in part 2 when karin...juugo...and suigetsu risked their lives for him
he didnt like sakura romantically at all, but he did see her as a friend at one point.
right now though the only friend that stands out to him is naruto, because of the great length hes going for him. its also because he saw him as someone he never wanted to lose too.
sakura was just the girl....and kakashi was just the teacher....but naruto was the friend/ rival that understood him.

but in the anime version when naruto said "i hate people who lie to themselves" sakura seemed really chocked up like she was about to cry.
i felt bad for her, even though she bounced back really quick and yelled. it still looked like it hurt her......
i dun know...just felt like sharing

No... he knew she was lying. She shouldve told him the truth instead breaking him down like that

i think sakura was trying her best to protect naruto in her own way.
i think.....(and this is just my opinion)
she wanted naruto to be as happy as he can before they gave him the news that sasuke was dead (by then the rookie 9 would have done the job)
so she confessed to him...so she could bring him home...and so he wouldnt have to hurt himself going after sasuke.
im not gonna argue whether or not she really "loved" him (cause...i dun know) but sakura must have deep feelings for naruto to go so far and allow the death of her first crush and confess love like that, just so naruto would be safe and free from the burden....

As for how truthful the confession was... well for me is like Kishimoto said "Naruto is close and she cares about him.... but still... Sasuke"

Today when this chapter was released, I noticed something. Kurama is a tsundere/has tsundere traits. Prehaps now we know that, (even though we already knew..) even more clearly, that Kishi is a fan of the tsundere types. Which is good for us. I'm also glad that when the flashbacks [flashed] back to the earlier chapters, that it's very possible for the forehead scene to be brought up again in a flashback. Obviously, this is very possible to happen to get Sakuras feelings resolved for Sasuke.

I'm starting to wonder if Kishi will even use the forehead scene, or if he'll resolve things in another way that he hasn't introduced yet.
