To all this, Naruto this is  a basic shonen series, the MC has the name in the history  and it has not changed since then and Naruto it seems will change.
 
 

According to wiki, seiya is the fifth popular character.
The author doesn't change the story to please the first popular character.

That one page where both Naruto and Sasuke were dying had me sold.  

 

I would have bet my life on NS/SK.... 

If you look at it:

SK - canon:

- Naruto and Sasuke becoming blood relatives.

- Uchiha and Uzumaki conflict - resolved.

- Logical build up for Sasuke's reasons of awaking new power to MS only when Karin was in danger.

- I bet Karin woudn't let go Sasuke to wonder anywhere without her.

I'm not a SK but SK had the narrative also unlike Nh/Ss  they still didn't get any answer for this kitten WTH happened that was so important LOL  JFC .

They gave Hinata everything Sakura has  her childhod background , her style , her heroine role , her power up  her men  and yes even a freaking  cherry blossom weeding   the kittening irony and retcon is to kittening great .

Anyways, wasn't it because of her powers (the purple chakra) that her and Naruto were able to break it? I remember Naruto saying he doesn't have enough chakra or something, then Hinata grabbed his hand, activated her purple chakra, and they hit whatever it was called together.

Yup, Hinata and Naruto had to combine powers so that they were able to break it. They just keep stealing stuff from both NaruSaku and NaruSasu, lmao

Anyway, after reading Swag's summary, I can't help but laugh. But, not about all the obvious reasons on why this movie is bullsh**, no. I'm laughing at Hinata's power up. Here she is being hailed as the savior of the world, yet in the end, the only thing she could do was hold Naruto's had and replicate his and Sasuke's attack. Like, what the hell is the power up she got? She showed no new powers, just some purple chakra encase her and that she was able to make a mobile Kyuubi, but only with Naruto's help.

 

There are only three things in this entire movie that she did. 1. Put ointment on Naruto, 2. stand next to Naruto, to be a chakra donor, and 3. grab Hanabi's eyes after Toneri was temporarily down. That's it. Out of all that screen time, Sakura ended up doing more noteworthy stuff than her, by Saving Naruto's life(again), fighting puppets, and rescuing Hanabi.

 

Hinata is treated and acts like a princess, because she does nothing of much importance, while throwing her own pity party the whole time. Her character is so bland, that all she can do is knit scarves and get put in tight outfits to be eye candy. That's it. Honestly, with this movie, I can't even regard her as a ninja.In the manga, she was trying, but she never got there.( just like with T7, they were trying to succeed and transform into fully developed characters, but ended up regressing.)

 

It's hilarious how this movie, that's meant to show nh/Hinata in a favorable light, only highlights how sh*tty they both are, in the end. I'm glad that NS was not made canon this way, because this is truly the most disappointing ending I have ever seen in my life.

So from what I understand, it's even worse than we feared. This is literally Princeess Hinata: The Movie. 

 

You know I've been following this series for quite a while and I've often thought about how the ending would be. Never would I have imagined that it would be anything like this. I don't think I've ever seen a series destroy itself so thoroughly.

 

What I hate the most is how Kishi just dismissed the NS bond. It's obvious that he is lying, but if I assume that he isn't and that this was his plan all along, then I have to ask: What was the point? What was the point of building up NS all throughtout the manga? What was the point of RTN? Is there a message and if there is, what is it then? That building up a real relationship is too hard or that if someone has strong feelings for you, then you have no choice but to accept them no matter what? What is the logic behind all this?

 

The truth is that there is no logic in all of this. Kishi threw it away in favour of trying to appeal to a completely different demographic. 

 

Once you throw away logic, you're basically f**cked.

naruto only fell in love with hinata because she started dressing more like sakura. if hinata started showing more skin earlier in the series, then naruhina would have been a done deal.

Must be just like every foreshadowing in this manga  That Kikitten Logic : Foreshadowing is a Red Herring  and Red Herrings needs to be Retconed  .

Yeah like, no disrespect to Sakura but we all need to acknowledge this: She's submissive around Sasuke. But it's only around Sasuke. If Sakura was with Naruto they'd even each other out, and the same rule applies with Sasuke and Karin. The woman in the relationship would have the same amount of power as the man.  Sigh.
