Apparently, there are some people that believe Sakura is useless compared to the Rookies in this chapter, because obviously, they did more than she did. 

In response, I'd like to welcome everyone to my new segment called, "Let's Count with Slextrem!", where we use our fingers and toes to prove how much more progress the Rookies made in comparison to Sakura.

 

Since Kiba is slicing up clones left and right, I made it easy by counting how many sets of legs are left over:

 

 

From what I can tell, there are seven sets of legs on panel.

 

Next is Shino:

 

He took out a one big clone with his flesh eating bugs.

 

Hinata used the 64 palm technique:

 

...And took out one clone with it!

 

Ino-Shika-Chou used a combo attack:

 

Ino detected twenty-five enemy presences, and together, they were able to wipe them all out.

 

Combined, the Rookies defeated thirty-four enemies on panel.

 

Now let's look at that lazy bum Sakura:

 

She sent seven clones flying on panel with her first punch. Come on, even Kiba could do that!

But wait...

 

 

From what I can tell, she killed at least thirty-seven clones on panel when she completely blew up the terrain with her one punch.

 

That's a total of at least fourty-four clones with one attack. Never mind how many are flying around on the other side of that explosion, or the ones that were caught up in that blast outside of the panel.

 

...But the Rookies totally pwned her fourty-four with their combined thirty-four...

 

Oh wait.

She totes took out dozen of enemies with two punches, and what's more is that these two punches likely didn't even require as much chakra. Also, as you've stated, we're only going by what we can SEE. There's the other side of the explosion as you've noted, and then there's what's in the explosion. With one attack, Sakura annihilated the field, and that was by herself. While what InoShikaCho was pretty damn badass, and one of the better combos IMO, they didn't solo. Sakura solos baby!! 

 

If I had to make a guesstimate, I'd say she took down at least 70 Juubi.  LOL Maybe more.

I don't see an axe there, I think he's carrying a bamboo wakizashi. I honestly would like Sakura to form a chakra axe ! We already know she has amazing control and can form scalpels so why not!

Someone on youtube tried to say that what she did is lame in comparison to Kiba and Shino. According to them, she's useless because the side characters are doing more than she did, and that if the Kages die it's her fault because she summoned "Katsuyu" away from the battlefield.

 

1) She did more with two punches than the Rookies did combined, and I'm not even including her summoning a giant slug to heal all of them.

2) It's been established that she has a new slug, not Katsuyu.

Haters really need to stop whining if they really think sakura did less to kill the jubi clones then they should say that to kishimoto himself.

Agreed on all points. I saw ridiculous comments saying number 3, ANDDDD that Sakura without the seal's gonna go back to being nothing. This just further proves how people don't know her character especially when they're making baseless assumptions. She gathered chakra in one spot just to use a one time jutsu and then she'll have to wait 3 years? How dumb and awful does that sound?? And what does this say about those who actually believe this? <_< LOL

 

Sakura did what the others did and then some in a way that wasted NO time. Her delivery was just as awesome IMO even though it wasn't as "sparkly" as theirs. LOL 

 

Look at the bigger picture though. Sakura's actually PLAYING  a part in the bigger picture. She's doing what the other medics can't do right now and that's standing on the frontlines WHILE being a top notch, and effective medical ninja. SHE'S likely gonna assist in the downfall of the Juubi, and even if she doesn't get to deliver a blow to the Juubi, we can say she did a lot more beneficial stuff than others. I truly hope that she does team up with her team in the takedown though. Hopefully Kishi wants to further shut up the haters. 

 

As for that Katsuya crappy comment, I don't even think that's Katsuya, and as you've said, even if it were, how would she have known? It's also possible Katsuya is done healing Gaara and ko, but ohhhhhh, that's not looked at as a possibility because haters are so damn negative. LOL 

 

I hope it's the slug on the cover with young Sakura. It'd be nice it if were a reddish color. >_< Can't wait to see what she does! Healing, offensive, or both, she's proving her worth as a first class ninja.

The explosion panel? Hell, the panels with her in that chapter had me jumping for joy when I first saw them. I was such a proud fanboy!  Hopefully, she does even more in the coming chapters. It'd be nice to see her play some critical role like in her fight with Sasori.

LOL Whooppsss!  I had a feeling I spelled it wrong, but I didn't bother about checking. 

 

And EXACTLY! It's funny that Sakura gets knocked down for a seal that contains all of HER chakra. Something she had to actually gain on her own but everyone else doesn't. I still can't believe people can't even fully grasp the seal and how it works. I mean, we have an individual who has had the seal since her introduction, and yet people are saying it's gonna take years for her to get this power back? LOLWUT? So much fail in the Naruto fandom... And I love how now that a certain female can do 64 palms, apparently she can take down Sakura.      The girl won't even be able to get in range to use such a jutsu. She's not fast enough to. 

 

Imagine if they fought in the Chuunin Exams. Sakura's punch now is powerful enough to screw up the whole damn arena. LOL Where would she go?

We've been fighting this logic vs nonsense battle since the beginning of Naruto with these NaruHina/Hinata/Anti-Sakura fans. Even after we win with NaruSaku, and Sakura surpassing Tsunade (she kinda already has, but I want to see a little more), they will still continue to hate and bash on Sakura. It's very sad.

Seriously though, It's like people loose all sense of logic, humanity and 80% of their critical thinking skills when it comes to Sakura. I really wonder why this is. If someone does something worthy of praise they DESERVE to have credit for it.

I don't understand how she can be so hated for "Uselessness" or "Fangirling." ( Especially since she clearly is not doing either.) since when is being useless something you wish people DIED for?

It would do damage to more than just the arena. She'd blow up an entire sector of the village.

 

But you're right. Sakura now has a variety of attacks, all with different ranges. Yes, in order to land a direct punch she has to be in close range where Hinata could hit her, but #632 shows that she can hit the ground from where ever she wants and still knock a field full of people out. She doesn't even have to get close to Hinata to hit her, and Hinata has no where to go to avoid it.

 

On top of that, like you said, Sakura is clearly a lot faster than Hinata, (given that she punched the Juubi clone and then managed to catch up to it in the air, while it was flying into all of the other clones). She could easily out-run her opponents if they ever became a threat, or out-maneuver them.

 

Even if Hinata could close off her chakra points, Sakura's a skilled medic with extreme precision chakra control. Who's to say that she wouldn't be able to open them up again, or focus her chakra to a different point on her body? Hinata would have to be really quick, precise, and powerful to be able to out-do Sakura at this point.

 

I haven't even gotten to the new slug summon yet. LOL.

Kishi actually make good with Sakura's innate genjutsu potential would really be a sight to see. Genjutsu usage hasn't really been explored that much in the manga and those who are capable of using it are usually descended from the Uchiha Clan. To add on to that, it would be very interesting if Sakura could discover what her elemental predisposition for ninjutsu is and then hone her skills with a variety of offensive and defencive based ninjutsu. My assumption is that she may have Doton. It would be an ironic twist to her character when you consider that a core aspect of her personality is improving her physical abilities or acquiring "earth". Also it would complement her fighting style quite nicely as she is a taijutsu based kunoichi who relies on rushing to her opponents and using concussive force to defeat them.

 

It is ironic that Sakura appears to exemplify the core principles of Kishi's original manga than anyone else. Unlike Sasuke and Naruto she does not have any unique abilities or unnaturally large amounts of chakra. She was forced to rely on her rudimentary abilities and average chakra reserves to become the capable person that she is today. Granted Sakura does have her supremely efficient chakra control abilities and intelligence to use but in comparison to her teammates she had quite the disadvantage. It's not exactly helpful either that her sensei focused on honing her teammates' abilities instead of offering any exclusive training to her besides basic genjutsu dispelling skills.

 

The only person who I would argue that might have outperformed Sakura with hauling themselves from the depths of mediocrity would be Rock Lee.

I am actually not looking forward to her elemental abilities if it is Doton. Mainly for two reasons.

1.) According to chapter 630, everyone can use Doton and it doesn't make her Doton anymore impressive. (from the reader's eyes)

2.) What else can she do with Doton? In her base capabilities, she can already throw rocks easily, destroy the earth, doesn't need to make her skin thick like Kakuzu because she has great dodging skills, and etc. 

 

I would like her to get a Suiton instead. It would be awesome if she could evaporate the water from her enemy dehydrating them, mix the water fog with poison smoke blinding the enemy and poisoning them at the same time without notice, make a water clone that could turn into water prison when they get close to the enemy, and etc. But that's just my personal opinion    

 

I agree with you. Rock Lee is definitely the character that has gone through great developments through hard-work alone even more than Sakura. In Sakura's case, it was shown from Part 1 that her precise chakra control surpasses that of genius Sasuke. Tsunade has also commented on her being "a talent since Shizune". Even though she did work hard, I think the abilities she uses now came quite easily to her since she was already talented. In Rock Lee's case, he was terrible in everything he did. He didn't have any talent other than the talent to be able to work hard. He is the only character that gained great power through only hard work. It makes me wonder why Kishi didn't make him the main character....
