Hinata has really no point anymore so i dont see how anyone is worrying about it.
Naruto couldent care less in 450 hinata excepted sakura loveing naruto and vicversa simple as that.

To say that Naruto doesn't care about Hinata would be wrong because he did show concern about Hinata's safety in chapter 441 and in chapter 450, it wasn't the moment concidering the big welcome he receive. He care for Hinata but he care for her like he care for the rest of the villagers.

I honestly have to say first off, how can any of you guys comment so strongly on the fact that Hinata looks disapproving of Naruto. I can hardly tell what facial expression she's making, the images of her are so poorly drawn. All the panels with her in it, she's a secondary character in the background and not the main person talking.

Anyway getting past that. I definitely agree with Naruto assumption of his power in comparison to Sasuke at this moment. I would say if Naruto arrived like he did originally fresh, while Sasuke had been fatigued by prior fights then probably he might of won, especially with Kakashi helping him. Then again the poison in Sakura's kundai would have made him unable to fight anyway.


But if Naruto and Sasuke both started at 100%, Sasuke would win. I'm sure their brief clashes that they had should have been enough to tell him how close their power levels are. Which is why he stated what he did.

For the first part, lawls. For the second part agreed.

But I do think it's interesting that Hinata got no emphasis whatsoever. Like someone mentioned before, the only part she played was as a background to show that all the rookies were there.

Well, even if she does, focus will go right back on Tsunade. Naruto might not even make it to Ichiraku's. Either way, he's got to go see Tsunade eventually. And guess who else will be there?

I don't think Hinata will follow Naruto to Ichiraku's but it will be Sakura before Kakashi or Shizune tells them that Tsunade is awake.

Problem is you aren't entirely sure, to just assume and bash Hinata (which I am equally guilty of because quite frankly it's our Sakura bashing to which they will have to do the same) will come back and bite. Kishi is going to have something happen, he's using the 'subtle, quiet' cliffhangar.

my bad neechan i agree with this but my point is the same the confession will not be brought up again hinata walked out for sakura.

I agreed with you. I doubt that the confession subject will come out again and I don't see the usefulness of it. There is alot of element ( much more essential one) that need developement not to mention that Naruto have a lot on his mind right now.

Poor Naruto, he still feel the after effect of Sakura's poison. One again, Kishi made Sakura look like a complete idiot on the page when Naruto collapse, when she's screaming at him. The comment didn't fit at all and I think that the fact that it was Karin, a complete stranger, of all people, that reminded her that she was the one that poisoned the kunai didn't help to make Sakura look smart *facepalm*. The only purpose, in a really weird funny way, was to make Sakura have another guilt trip. However, I love Naruto peaceful face after that, it such a relief after everything he've been through and I really like what Kakashi-sensei said after seeing him like that : 'like he's finally free of a heavy burden' ( Kakashi is such a wise guy ). Kiba whining moment was funny even if I must say that he isn't the best person to say to Naruto that he's a dumb ass ( I still remember the lame excuse of a confrontation). Also, I know that I've said it before but I really starting to like Karin. I still think that she could play a major role and help Naruto and co but I guess I'll have to wait as to what Kishi have in store for her. I'm still curious with what she said about Naruto's chakra. She didn't complete her statement but I think that she could have compare the Kyuubi chakra to Sasuke own chakra.

The rookie 9 ehhh I mean 8 plus team Gai concil. Again, we hear Kiba yapping but at least, the atmosphere is still serious even with that. Naruto is, once again, acting like he's in control of the situation and I really like that Naruto. I expected Neji and especially for Shikamaru to be active in this conversation but I almost freak out when I heard Tenten's voice ( it been a long time since the last time Kishi gave her a panel...it not much but it better then nothing). If Kishi wouldn't have gave her that opportunity, I would still have forgot that she exist. The thing that bug me in this conversation was when Naruto said that he couldn't beat Sasuke at his current level. Like Sakura thought, Naruto is hiding something and that comment was a key that made me believe that she was right. Maybe Naruto discover something about Sasuke that we don't know yet and I must say that I'm curious as to know what could that be.

I guess that Kakashi-sensei won't be Hokage after all. Of course, he could still have a chance because Tsunade might be unable to fulfill her duties ( especially after what has to come) but if Kishi didn't let Tsunade dies I think that her role as Hokage isn't finish yet ( because, beside that, she doesn't have any other purpose ) I'm glad to see Tsunade once again. I knew that she wouldn't die ( dying in coma would be a very pathetic way to pass away...even if that was the consequence after doing an heroic act)

Sasuke have another easy power boost ( Like I'm surprised ). I sure hope that this is the last upgrade if not, I'll have the impression to watch DBZ

PS : Did someone beside me realize that Yamato isn't there yet...poor him, he's still in the dark. I predict another comic relief LOL

Anyway, I like this chapter and, like alway, I can't wait to know what going to happen next.

Some quick thoughts:

• Thought the exchange with Sai was hillarious. What a well executed, humorous little panel, Sai thanking him immediately followed by an irate Naruto. Priceless. As a reader, you are instantly transported to happier days.

• On Karin seeing evil chakra in Naruto, but matching whose? Did she identify the kyuubi as having a match somewhere else, or was she recognizing some bit of Itachi within him and linking it to Sasuke or Madara? Karin will be an interesting character to watch — she could develop a million different ways.

• Love Kiba. Love him. He is the voice of the irritated reader ('You beat the friggin' crap out of Pain, dude! Stop whining!' *lockerroom towel snap*). Throw that boy a bone.

• Hinata is painted purely as a background character now, with a really vague half-concerned/half-poorly drawn expression on her face. Compare her expression with Shikamaru's and even Neji's expressions. Under Naruto's word bubble, Shikamaru has a clearly drawn, sharp, inquisitive expression. It's the same size as Hinata's illustrations, but way more emphasis is put on his expression than hers. And two panels later, Sakura puts the voice to the boys' expressions, "Naruto, what are you hiding?" I'm not bashing Hinata, I'm saying that the illustrator is choosing to shine a light on certain characters through illustration — this may be an act of foreshadowing, and in Shikamaru's case I'm inclined to believe it. And if you see that as bringing certain characters to the foreground, it's easy to see Hinata relegated to the background for a while.

• Someone was pitting Sakura against Kabuto as medic vs. medic, but don't forget about Deidara. He was an artist and made such a big deal about it, but in the end he went up against Itachi. If it was about art, then he really should have been fighting Sai, the only other ninja we know who uses his artistic abilities to fight with. Such a shame. What a great fight that would have been. So we can't really count on medic vs. medic unfortunately.

• As for Naruto saying he can't yet defeat Sasuke, I think it's possibly has something to do with whatever Itachi gave him. He may be waiting for Sasuke to get so powerful that Itachi's power can be used against him. Sort of like a bomb squad waiting for the bomb. Naruto's not doubting his own powers, he's just saying he can't defuse Sasuke yet.

Minato used it when he realized he could not beat Kyuubi and Sarutobi used it when he realized he could not beat Orochimaru. Things happen in threes, don't they?

Greay idea! And if you go along with the cycle of threes, a main component of story/fairy tale themes, then the third or the youngest is always the one to break the cycle. And what better way to break the cycle than to have a super medic girlfriend pull you back from the edge of death.

Let's hope Naruto isn't planning the shinigami jutsu, the stomach already has the most powerful Ninja's in Konoha's history in it's stomach, all four Hokages and part of Orichimaruo and possably the more evil part of the Kyuubi. Add in Naruto and Sasuke, (and possably Madara) and the main threat in the future will be the Shinigami's stomach. It will be battle royale in there, First vs Madara, Naruto vs Sasuke, Fourht vs Kyuubi and Saratobi vs Orchimaru's hands and poor second will have to spend his time trying to break up the fights...lol (maybe this was the Jutsu Jiraya didn't want him to use, at the beginning of the of Shippuden.)

So next week we'll probably see Tsunade be bought upto speed, find out who's going to be in charge of the village, and whoever is in power will decide what to do about the kage's plans for Naruto being pretty much held captive in his village safe and sound...well kinda. I just hope that if and when Naruto goes off for more training we get more than just one Jutsu this time, and it's not another variant of the rasengan. (So far when not in Sage mode he can safely still only use the same Jutsu's he's known for over 3 years.)

@silverserenity - One thing to consider is that Sakura yelling at Naruto *might* be part of their playful interaction. We have already seen that, more often than not, Naruto acts the fool deliberately, so that Sakura will chastise him. It might work the other way as well, that Sakura is over-reacting so as not to embarrass Naruto with her (actual) concern.

If Tsunade does reclaim the Hokage title, I could see Kakashi becoming the new head of Root.

My first thought was that Karin was going to compare Naruto's dark chakra with Sasuke. But she may be thinking of Killer Bee's 8-tail as well.

Wouldn't it be a shame if the "power" that Sasuke thinks he is feeling, is actually whatever terminal illness that caused Itachi's death.

Sorry, I guess I was putting that out for most people. You quoted Froot, I'm just throwing it out there that many of us, including myself are getting a little cocky about Hinata, we don't know what's going to happen. Hinata isn't even on my top 5 but we shouldn't over or underestimate, the tone has been getting pretty arrogant. We haven't won yet, even with facts and obvious trolling. Huh drawn badly, without a word yeah not her best moment...
