Hmm, I believe that it will ultimately turn out to be positive, but the reunion between Naruto and Sakura could be a little awkward. After all, Sakura did lie to Naruto, even though she had the best of intentions (trying to protect him). It'll work out OK in the end.

Naruto and Sakura have to sit down and have a long talk that's all they need to do. If they care about each other deeply and they cherish their friendship a lot than they will listen to what they have to say to each other.

if Sakura is able to talk to Sasuke about the bench scene amongst other things then a real positive. It will help Sakura see a truth shes been missing for awhile now and will make things very interesting between then two of them.

if Sakura is unable to talk to him due to Kishimoto senseis focus on the Sasuke Kakashi confrontation then neither positive or negative since Sakura wont have knowledge of the truth.

With every think that happen so far, all the feeling repressed and the unspokend word that they couldn't discuss because of the actual situation could turn into a dispute between both protagonist ( not that is a bad thing but, at first, the situation between them will be more tense, if I may say so)

Yes I too am very curious about how Naruto will treat Sakura after she lied and ran off to get herself killed, also, seeing how it went against what he was trying so hard to accomplish, this could cause a fiery argument, even though it was a selfless act.

One thing I don't like is that Sasuke is likely going to choose to fight while he is exhausted from the last fight. I don't particularly like when villains have to fight while tired from other fights. It kinda would take away from the hero's victory in my opinion.

Also, really hoping Naruto will get back in the story pretty soon. I can't see Kakashi and Sasuke trading more than a few blows before Naruto shows up.

Hmm, I'd have to disagree with you there. As we know, Sakura's feelings towards Naruto have been changing for a long while. The bench scene wasn't a factor in that, so I don't think Sakura needs to know about the bench in order to know how she feels about Naruto.

What Sakura does know, however, is that Sasuke is at least no longer the "prince" she had once imagined him to be.

Well, I don't think how it could make it worse ( I don't say that she lie about it but after her confession, we could sense tension )

However, even if Naruto decide that he's mad at her for doing the kamikaze act or to 'lie' to him about her confession and not told him, at first, the real reason of that confession ( and that mean killing Sasuke), Naruto will not hate her.

I think that she already knew even before seeing him again. However, seeing how far he's gone will surely destroy that image

its not about her feelings for naruto which arent in doubt, its about her feelings for Sasuke which are. and the bench scene was a factor since its where Sakura made the decision to start being nicer to Naruto in the first place.

that scene was the beginning of a lot of story in this manga, and it needs some resolution.

I agree with you catsi Kishi needs to bring the bench scene to finally get rid of any lingering feelings Sakura may still have for Sasuke.

She doesn't want to hurt him anymore but she thinks that killing Sasuke would be the best choice to help him, which is going against everything Naruto has been doing for the past three years, which is why she might feel he will hate her. We all know he would never hate her, never. Sakura made a promise to protect him from the Akatsuki (a.k.a Sasuke and Madara) so she's just keeping her promise to him. I think that Naruto and Sakura need to have a one-on-one talk with each other and get there feelings out, but personally. Team seven would also need to come to an agreement what they should do with Sasuke together, not individually. To be continued...
