Scans in Onemanga are slightly different.

One Manga

These scans gave me more of the impression that Sakura loves both boys, whereas in the last scans I was a little unsure as to where Sakura's feelings lay.

I don't know. That's just my opinion.

I'm also curious if Danzo was Madara's student like Hiruzen was Hashirama's. It would fit with Danzo's mentality about people and belief that he should have been Hokage rather than Hiruzen Sarutobi, if he had been the student of Madara (the other founder of Konoha) who came to resent how the Uchiha clan was subordinate to the Senju clan in leadership.

It's my guess and I'm hoping it's correct too. It would add another layer to the generational parallels too.

This is an interesting thought! Also it seems that there is loads'n loads of more crap in and skeletons in Danzo's closet! How much more, the Kyuubi incident?

For a first time in a while I feel that this manga pushed the story forward!

My feelings of this chapter:
So now Naruto GET UP, TAKE YOU'RE HEAD OUT OF YOUR A**, BEAT THE BAD GUY AND GET YOU'RE GIRL! Be a man for god sake...

hahahaha, i had to laugh at that. i soooo agree with that. anyway, i think the onemanga scan made it a little more clear to me. i think sakura is in love with both sasuke and naruto. first, she wanted to kill sasuke because she loved him, but then she figured that it would make naruto hate her and thats what she wanted because she felt like a burden to him. dont worry people, i think it would be made much clearer in the next chapters. kishimoto has a way of surprising us smile.gif

One thing that always bugs me about the ship wars is how they thing love has to follow some logical equation. Like 'Sakura' loves 'Sasuke' :: therefore 'Sakura' does not love 'Naruto' :: therefore 'Naruto' has to love 'Hinata' Well, guess what folks. It doesn't work that way. Sakura does love both Sasuke and Naruto. There's nothing wrong with that nor does that make her less of a person. Her feelings are shifting.

So are Naruto's for that matter. He's coming to the realization that he has to grow-up a bit more. Things aren't always black and white. I think Sakura having worked as an assistant for Tsunade has probably had more experience seeing the type of decisions and sacrifices that have had to be made for the village. She's more well prepared for that. Of course, that doesn't mean it's going to be a walk in the park for her since she still didn't quite have the courage to tell Naruto the truth about taking Sasuke out. Though I think Naruto understands what the most logical thing to do is and he understands why Sakura is going to fight Sasuke, I'm not sure if he's completely sold on the idea of putting Sasuke down yet. The next several chapters will probably have him facing that decision on what he has to do.

Concerning Sakura's feelings, yeah, it kind of is like putting down your favorite pet because they're suffering or have rabies. I also think she's doing it in part because Sasuke is not only the enemy of Konoha, but he's making Naruto suffer. In the past, she has done things to try and lessen his pain both in Part I and in Part II. I think her rambling confession was a way to lessen the blow for what she knew she was going to have to do, fight and try and kill Sasuke. She probably knew that coming right out and telling him what she was going to do would seem really callous and she was afraid to come off that way to Naruto because she knows how sensitive he is about that subject. Was that the best way for her to confess or broach the subject? Probably not. But I think as strong a facade she's putting on, deep down she's just as scared about confronting Sasuke and putting a final end to Team 7 as Naruto is.

On a different note, Danzo is like Frankenstein. Does he have the leg of some powerful, now deceased ninja with great legs? How about under those robes? Are we supposed to expect him to take off his robes only to find out his has the head of an old geezer and the body of Mr. Olympia? And this is the reason why Kakashi needs to be Hokage. He will bring sexy back to the Hokage position. laugh.gif
End of line.

You know i was expecting smthg like that, altrough i can't see how she still loves sasuke dry.gif, but thats cool don't worry she will have a wake up call soon tongue.gif .

My Predictions:

- Sakura will fail BIG, she will get REALLY hurt, psy and physically, and the only way she will not die its cuz kiba, lee and sai are there. She will realise who sasuke really is.
- Naruto can forgive anything to sasuke, but hurt sakura like that? it needs to be the wake up call for naruto too, he will not forgive sasuke now.
- Sasuke will be the ultimate vilan.

To anyone who actually is freaking out about the last few chapters of this manga: WHY WORRY, THIS IS WHAT WE WAITED FOR.

I think anyone that is worrying should probably reread this chapter and pay close attention to the words that are being used in it.

First off - We finally get to see a bunch of stuff in writing. Sakura didn't tell Naruto about the rookies plan, that was what she was hiding. Nothing was said about her confession being false. In fact, it being false is just crap. She wanted to lessen his burden but was being careful by not telling him that everyone of his friends were going behind his back and taking away one of his dreams which is "saving Sasuke". After hearing what Naruto had to say Sakura's resolution was clear. In order to protect Naruto and end Sasuke's suffering of hate and revenge, she would take everything on her shoulders and solve this problem on her on. Sakura is growing up the most right now, obviously this is Sakura's arc.

Another thing that I would like to say. Sakura's is making possibly the largest sacrifice of anyone in the manga to date. To protect the one you love even if it means they hate you for the rest of their life and maybe even dying in the process. I already thought of this scenario before the chapter came out, that Sakura might sacrifice her love and happiness to protect Naruto and end Sasuke's hate even if Naruto hates her forever.

I am totally looking forward to these upcoming chapters.

Kishi has put so much into the chapters all coming up to this moment.

Here is the fact- Everyone sees the light. Sasuke wants to achieve his own selfish desires even if it cost the lives of everyone else. The Konoha ninjas have to stop him for the sake of everybody. Naruto refused to believe that Sasuke is hopeless, so Sakura let him believe what he wanted to believe and left after confessing her love to him. Naruto wants to save someone who only causes death, pain, and corruption. Sakura has taken Naruto's place and is going to be the problem solver and at the same time is sacrificing any chance of ever getting Naruto's love or friendship in the end. This is a greater sacrifice than what Naruto made for her. Kishi, you have made a huge twist right there.

LOL, looks like Sakura is better at being Naruto, than Naruto. Well, at least until he snaps back into action. Just waiting for the epic fight between Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto.

One of the most important thing I saw in this chapter is that Sakura has not abandoned Sasuke. She is not going to kill him out of revenge for unrequited love or any other easily misconstrued nonsense.

She is choosing to protect Naruto, choosing her love for him over a sense of loyalty for her former teammate. Sakura's not abandoning Sasuke - which was something Naruto was hung up on - she's going to protect the ones she loves, Naruto and her village, on which Sasuke is about to wage war. So really, she's already following Naruto's mindset: she's not killing out of revenge, she's killing out of love!

But seriously, she showing way more leadership skills than he is right now. Sakura for Hokage!

Does anyone else think Kakashi always looks like he's just woken up from a nap?

And did anyone else hear that panel from Sai on page 10 in a Goofy voice?

Sai: "I may not have meant to, but it's partly my fault she decided to do this."

Sai doing Goofy: "Well, garsh, Naruto. I guess I let the cat out of the bag a little on that one. Hyuck! Hyuck!"

I can just picture him kicking his toe around in the dirt a little ashamedly.

Glad to see he can be a bonehead just like the rest of them. Hey, that's some great character development for Sai!

Also, for anyone worrying about the NS stuff, take heart: Nartuo spent way more time worrying about Sakura's feelings, reasoning, etc., than he did freaking out about his village going after Sasuke. If this wasn't about narusaku ftw, then he would have jumped right in to saving Sasuke, and there would not have been so much talk about why Sakura did what she did.

i don't know what to think about this chapter..... However kishi did a great job, playing with us: We don't know if anrusaku is going to happen, nor if sasuke is really goinig to die or be fought by sakura or naruto.....If the plot would continue like in previous naruto chapters, naruto is going to convince sasuke to stop this whole revenge-thing and come back, because violence is no answer in his eyes, cause it causes hate and will only be another part in the eternal circle of war and death (the whole blabla from pain...).It would also fit into the whole "naruto is saving everybody" stuff. But as far as kishi is a pretty good writer, he wouldn't make such an important thing this simple and obvious. So i think, that kishis real intent is,that sasuke is going to be killed by naruto, after sakura settled things with sasuke after a long talk about the whole past and how she and naruto were trying to get him back and how she loved him after all the pain he's caused her and everyone else. Sasuke will then tell her, that she is just getting in his way, cause all he wants is revenge. Then naruto arrives and stops sasuke from killing sakura. Now everything is prepaired for narusaku. So guys cheer up a little bit and don't let yourselve's get down by this chapter, cause nothing is going to happen as kishi is showing to us........

I'm pretty sure, that sasusaku won't happen........it just could if naruto really could convince sasuke to stop his revenge without fighting him to death, and this won't happen as explained above.

Kishi is just trying to let the whole narusaku stuff evolve (as if he hadn't had enough chapters to do so.......) slowly, which is only possible,if sakura settles things with sasuke.

So let's look forward to narusaku as we already did, when sakura used to only have eyes for sasuke.

indeed. I really enjoy Sakura, even if this whole Sasuke thing falls through, she's finally being proactive about this. Also, for all those who can't understand why Sakura is in love with Sasuke, love doesn't disappear, it just doesn't. As much as you want it to, as much as you need it to, it some times just stays, that whole "I still have a soft spot for my ex? or for my old crush?" yuuuuup. Her feelings are complicated, you can be in love with two people and it sucks but it happens.

That happens for most people, though. Others will drop that specific person like a fly when the relationship stops.

Thats a bad comparison, i believe u still like ur ex because he did liked u and was nice, etc.... but sasuke didnt cared about sakura all along, he said it! he cares alot more about naruto, tell me any sweet conversation sasuke had with sakura? the bench scene it was naruto, they only talked when he left, and even with her crying he still didnt show "caring" feelings... how can u love when u dont get anything from the other person, thats not a relashionship she is living a lie...
The only unconditional love that exists is mother\father love, cuz only a mother can forgive everything to her child, sakura dont know anything about sasuke well they almost never talked! I trully dont believe someone can love another if theres REALLY nothing in return, the only thing he gave to her was suffering, humilliation, some kicks and some punchs...

This self-sacrifice is on par, or I daresay, more than Hinata's.

Sakura is willing to risk her much-cherished friendship, and Sasuke's life for Naruto. This is huge.

This is a slap in the face to all those who say Sakura doesn't love Naruto.

Maybe I'd be worried about Naruto actually hating Sakura if Gaara hadn't told Naruto that he needs to make such a decision himself; He understands now. He understands why Sakura is doing it, and hopefully, but most likely, he sees that Sakura's being stronger than he is.

This is development in disguise.

And if Sakura saying she still loves Sasuke is true, then it's even better, because however much she loves Sasuke... She loves Naruto more.

OMG U ACTUALLY MADE ME FEEL WAY BETTER w00t.gif I was kinda upset about the chapter no I wasnt crying but yeah a bit pissed of at kishi but I GET IT NOW! uve pretty much told me biggrin.gifD YESSSH IT IS NARUSAKU kishi sure knows how to disguise stuff and trick us XDD I love that dude bit if he'd do somthing to narusaku -shows fist- IM RUSHING TO JAPAN! shouting: KIIIIISHIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! D:<

THANK GOD XD I understand now she loves sasuke( maybe friend maybe love) to kill him to set his soul free to heaven to give him is greatest escape <Emo speech O_O but shes also whiling to give him up for naruto cos she knows that sasukes akatsuki member now so she wants to save naruto by "doing HUGE THINGS" instead of this " all I can ever do for naruto is small and insignificant thing" SHES WILLING TO KILL SASUKE FOR NARUTO AWW ^^! wub.gif

hmmm...

gaara's statement towards naruto was interesting. "if you are prepared to bear the title of kage, then do what you must as sasuke's friend." although we tend to think that naruto needs to grow up by moving on from sasuke, at the same time it's quite possible that kishi might have something else in mind. maybe what naruto needs to grow up from is not sasuke, but his childhood dream of being hokage? with naruto's current attitude, i wouldn't be surprised if he said that he'd willingly give up being hokage if it meant saving sasuke's life.

just a thought. sweat.gif

I have something to add.

I admit I did freak out and was diaappointed WHEN I FIRST READ the chapter, but now I have another thing I want to bring to mind. Like you all said, this is a step up, not a step back for NaruSaku shipping.

In fact, I realized that if Kishimoto wasn't going to do NaruSaku, then why put so much time in making problems between them? Why make Hinata just disappear completely and why not just have Naruto just go back to Hinata if that is the case? I noticed Kakashi said "Naruto's heart is troubled from hearing this." Why use those choice of words? He didn't say "Naruto's heart is broken" only troubled.

It's getting really hard to tell what are lies, what are interpretations (which are not lies, just how people see things), and what is truth. Maybe that is the point. SO many unanswered questions.

I also wonder if Sakura does love Sasuke but has become Platonic love kind of thing. I mean, if I remember correctly, she only remembered Sasuke when someone talked about him. Otherwise she was always thinking about Naruto.

Looking at the manga in bits and pieces we can see things that support one or the other. Looking at the whole we see that it mostly focused about the bond between Naruto and Sakura. Naruto and Hinata didn't really have a bond per-say.

So in Kishi in two interviews has said two things. Part II will focus on the bonds that tie the characters.

"I've always had "bonds" in my mind as the fundamental theme. And since the story is about battles and struggles, I'm inclined to depict the resulting complications and....difficult relationships. Still, the emphasis will be on bonds. I'm going to show each side's perspective. I won't really divide the cast into friends and foes, but I want to portray each group's circumstance in a fair manner."

Emphasis on "Bonds," "difficult relationships," and "each side's Perspectives."So from this interview alone we can see that he wasn;t going to make anything straight forward. It wasn't going to be THAT easy. I think everyone is right. This WILL make NaruSaku a more desirable couple in the end because of everything that has happened. Like Romeo and Juliet where they struggled with their families and over came that with their love.

Another thing Kichi has said was I believe that "One relationship will be requited." While this could be mean anything I think the likely choice is NaruSaku BECAUSE of all this stuff happening to the couple.

Why put Naruto and Sakura through so much TOGETHER, if they were going to end up with Hinata and Sasuke anyway? I don't know why any respectable writer would do that? A true love couple is a couple that would go through anything together through the good times and the bad. It has always been that way through any relationships in any story. Give me any story where two people who end up falling in love in the end go through the whole story without any problems, without emotional trauma, and/or without one character possibly dying or getting hurt? I can't think of any at the moment.

Even Spider-man went through problems with his girl Mary-Jane.

You guys are right. I have rejuvenated my hope for the couple. We just need that one perfect moment. I wish it would be a kissing scene where Sakura kisses him and Naruto looks surprised, but kisses back. That would be the nail in the coffin for all other ships.

THANK YOU BATMAN! BTW, dl316bh can I join the church of Bat too?

Its nice to see people being positive : ) Well, we gotz many chappys to go. Looks like Madara vs. Danzo is next, should be interesting. Of course I have no possible way of predicting what that fight will bring, but :

For the next chapter if we get any action from Naruto's end, I see 1 of 2 things happening.

1. Naruto stays in denial about saving Sasuke and believes he can still be saved.

2. Naruto straps on his headband and says something cool like "very well, lets do this"

i can imagine a sakura vs sasuke battle where sakura is failing miserably but then naruto arrives all of a sudden (surprise, surprise) and then says "remember when you promised that we'd save sasuke together? well, you're keeping that promise." and then they kill (in other words "save") sasuke together.

and they live happily ever after. :3
Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, working together is success.
