Yeah... It really annoys me that the studio is doing this. "Oh, he did great with that DC franchise, let's get him to do this one... and then that one!" -- Rumors swirl that the studio is also looking to snag Nolan to do the JL film too... headdesk.gif a_smashy.gif msmack.gif rawr.gif rawr.gif

Seriously? Come on! Did they not see fan's reaction to one of their production head's comment about making a 'dark superman'? WRONG CONCEPT!!!! Just take the material seriously like Nolan did, don't make it macabre.

David Goyer who helped write Dark Knight is now also help pen for Man of Steel with Nolan's brother, who may now also be making his directorial debut with this film.

That being said, there's a new Iron Man 2 trailer out! AH!!!! I want this movie out and finished now!

Click Trailer 2

That being shown... I'm still really annoyed by Hollywood's need to show everything from their movie in their trailers now a days, sometimes including the climax. I still really feel like they should've tried to keep War Machine as hidden as possible.

I quite agree, I think I would've yelled out "WAR MACHINE!" in the movie theater if they kept it a secret and I saw it in the movies.

As some of you may already know from following any Captain America news Joe Johnston (Wolfman dir. #2/ Rocketeer) is directing, and Marvel is hoping to land actor John Krasinski (the Office, Leatherheads) for the role of Cap, while they're also trying to land Wolfman's antagonist Hugo Weaving (Transformers, the Matrix).

Even though I don't think he has the exact look of what I picture Captain America looking like (even should he acquire the role and lose weight/ build muscle) he does have that all american boy look, which I think will work, should it come to pass. I also think that having done a very American 'super' hero movie already (Rocketeer) that he'll do great at the helm. Wolfman was a slight blunder but that's because he came in so late in the process. Weaving.... Iunno. Your thoughts?

I'm glad they chose a different actor instead of using Ryan Rynalds since he's already playing the green lantern and already bad enough he appeared in X Men Origins of Wolverine as a mercenary.

AICN, reported that the studio was approaching Channing Tatum, from G.I. Joe, for the title role in Captain America, and now ... it's reporting that Marvel may have flat-out offered the role to Chris Evans, whom you may know from the Fantastic Four films as Johnny Storm. facepalm.png down.gif None of the last two items are very exciting news... At this point I feel like this is just a lot of miss-information being planted by Marvel. You can find the article here. I'm also very confused at the author's unashamed love of the last decision... Seriously? Chris Evans? He's barely anything I imagine Captain America to be. Plus, has anyone seen the movie about superhumans called "Push"? Guh... he's Johnny Storm, enough said.

It's official. Johnny Storm will now be playing The Cap himself.

Darn them! They know I'll still see the movie anyway. Great for Evans, he's now playing 4 comic book characters: Johnny Storm, Captain America, Jensen from 'the Losers,' and Lucas Lee from 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.' th_twitchsmile.gif blowup.gif

In other news Bryan Singer, was looking to not only direct X-men: the New Class, but he was looking to direct X-men 4. Which would've been great news, but now it looks like he may not direct either since Fox wants to move forward quickly and Singer is still in production for his 'Jack and the Giant Killer' film.

Went to see Iron Man 2 yesterday, and I'm quite pleased with the film. Anyone else wait to see the Thor-easter egg after the credits? And LOL @ Tony for handling Cap's shield.

I thought it was okay, i didn't like that there was a long stretch of no action. Rhodie to me was an ass for what he did.

Curses myself for never sitting through the movie credits. Oh well i can see it again on DVD *shrugs*. 111193.gif Yeah like the Captain America hint. happy.gif

Actually, it makes sense. Chris Evans looks suitably like what Steve Rogers may have pre-Super Soldier Serum. Hell, he could pass for Steve Rogers in general. Then he bulks up for the movie post-Super Serum and badda boom, badda bing. Shake well for instant Captain America.

Iron Man 2 spoiler --Click here to view--
I really enjoyed the film. Robert Downey Jr. brought his charisma back for Tony Stark and really lighted up the film. I think Cheadle and Downey played well of of each other in the film. Even though Tony was putting him in a tough spot a few times.

I told my friend I think the film wasn't better than the first one but not worst either. I honestly had fun.

So I found a description of the Captain America suit over at joblo's and from his description readers of his website have created sketches of what it sounds like. If this

is what he's supposed to look like, I'm down. It really captures the feel of the army of the time. Opinions? Indifferences?

I'm still indifferent to Chris Evans playing Captain America. Really ideally if Daniel Craig was American he'd be perfect for Steve Rogers.

Not a fan of the costume. He kinda looks like a army football player with a shield. Or basically a tool. Chris Evans I'm not too fond of him playing the role he knida reminds me a diet Ryan Reynolds sometimes. That plus he's somewhat stained as the Human Torch.

Hm... don't agree. Other than the shoulder pads maybe I don't see the football thing. And the helmet looks more like a period army helmet than a football helmet. As far as the looking like a tool thing... I guess?

Anyway, these are the supposedly confirmed designs.

They'll have two designs, right? One with the helmet which will be used through most of the movie, and the modern one based on the Ultimates version of Cap will come during the end. That's what I read anyway.

If it's a movie about the Peter Parker Spider-Man, then no... I don't want that. I'm fine with a black Spider-man 2099 though.
