Yeah, we don't know her last name she does look a lot like Kushina so we don't know for sure if she does have a relations with them are not. I believe that most of the Uzimike separated after the whirlpool country was destroyed so she could be a long lost relative.

Unless, I'm blind... they don't look alike.

Karin has no last name. Just like Gai, just like Juugo and Ten-Ten... I still don't get why people are still pushing the Karin = relative theory. She was found by Orochimaru in an un-named village. I'm pretty sure if it was the land of Whirlpool, Orochimaru would have known.

I wonder if Kishi will actually do anything with Naruto's mother or this 'former land of whirlpool' - it would be awesome if he did. I mean, why create the place if that's the last we're going to hear of it? And making it so connected to the name... she could've just been from some backwater of fire country or something. Still, that's not something I'm going to raise my hopes about.

One thing I am sure of, Kabuto's going to be in a fight. He mentions having a new technique - I don't remember anyone in Naruto doing that and not having a chance to show it off. There was also a comment on Gaara's strength. I guess that means the attack on the kages will happen. And Sasuke just seems to be on a killing spree now (psychopath much? ) I mean, he wants to kill all the kages? WHY?

I loved how close together Naruto and Sakura stayed for this whole chapter... I loved the emotion on Naruto's face... I love that Sakura's feelings seem to be in focus... and remain unstated (and if we're not supposed to be questioning her feelings, there would be no point in not stating them. Kishi has definitely left that out on purpose :3 Developmentplzz). I couldn't find a picture with color she has dark pink hair and she doesn't look like Sasuke to me. She looks a lot like Kusina with the dark red hair on her.

That *is* Karin, and when she was first introduced, and even still today people claimed that she must be some long-lost relative of Sasuke, because they look so similar.

*Sigh* There is no big mystery here. Kishimoto has a certain way with his art style that makes a lot of his characters look alike, especially when they give that patented *grin* that shows up on Naruto, Shikamaru, Jiraiya, Tsunande, and just about everyone else's faces. Are they all somehow secretly related to each other too?

And yes, I would love to hear more about his mother's past. It would be cool to have him return to where Whirlpool country used to be in search of his past. Almost Woverine like. I'm sure after finding out who his father is he has to want to find out more.

I liked that Idea too, Naruto going to Whirlpool in search for more clues of his mothers past. You never know that Kushina could of been struck by one of Kyuubi's tails protecting Naruto and could of had amnesia from the impact and just ran away and didn't look back. (Please don't scold me it's just an idea)

I was thinking Nagato had a better chance of being related to Kushina instead of Karin.

Karui is obviously going to fall madly in love with him and give up searching for Kirabe just to be with Naruto and of course that will make Sakura jealous and suddenly her jealousy will make Sakura also fall madly in love with Naruto and want to be with only him but Naruto is going to decide that Hinata deserves his attention the mostest and at that point Karui can just fall off the planet since her character wont be needed anymore because we can get back to the original love triangles of naru/sasu/saku, naru/hina/saku, and naru/sasu/naruko.

Somehow, last chapter Sakura "wasn't" disappointing and criticizing her was unwelcome, and now Sakura has a completely -in character- emo breakdown and no one is notbashing on the notbashers.

Forget Naruto, how about Sai's growth lately, eh!? He not only understood the emotional implications of the situation, but took a stance on it too and defended his friends. Not to mention in 452 he seemed to be questioning Danzo's trustworthiness.
The one thing that really sucks though is that Sai is still Danzo's eyes and ears around Naruto. Naruto would be wise to use that to his advantage.


Sasuke is going to have his arse handed to him on a silver platter if he thinks he can start any kind of trouble at the meeting of the 5 Kages. I can see this now.. Taka shows up in the VIP board room, everyone faces him. Karin and Juugo take a healthy step back from the pressure of the glares that welcome them. Suigetsu melts into a puddle. Sasuke takes a step forward and starts to declare Uchiha supremecy and sharingan blah blah blah.... Then Gaara throws sand in his eyes, wraps him in a chidori-proof desert-coffin and drops him on Naruto's doorstep.
Seriously though, I can't wait to see where this is going.


Oh yeah, and Guy does have a last name. It's Maito Gai, remember? :teehee:

I'd really prefer Sai to remain in Team 7 over Sasuke, he made more of an effort to be part of the team then Sasuke ever did it seems. Plus he adds alot of humor even when he's not suppose to.

Doesn' Karin have red hair? Just the end of ths weeks anime it showd her with brown hair. unless its supposed to loo brown with the lack of light?

Anyway, what Iwas more interested in was if Sleepyfan got the translations correct or not, in his translation, Sakura actually called Sasuke by his name without the -kun suffix at the end, and was wondering if it was a an ommision from the translator or Sakura actually called Sasuke by his first name without the suffix, does that means she's losing her respect for him?

Sakura just ended up crying like that....which was odd, wonder if it was because of dispair or something, She has spent the last three years under the delusion of Sasuke still being a loyal Konoha nin. Plus add to all the stress she has been under recently, with the invasion, realising Hinata loving Naruto enough to go kamakaze, having to run around healing injured nins, to Naruto going Nine tails, to him coming back alive, with her master being in a coma and having a chump as the hokage. This is as the saying goes, 'the straw that broke the camal's back.' plus being called annoying can't have helped, that's what the famale cloud nin called her annoying, 'that's what Sasuke used to refer to her as, it must hae bought back happy memories *note sarcasm*

To be honest all this multi-paring hints is starting to get on my nerves and just pissing me off, i'm coming to a point where I don't think i'd be too surprised or care if Naruto ended up with Tenten, I know it's supossed to keep you guessing, but it's just so much you can take before you start losing interest in it all.

When Madara said that he plans on keeping a eye on Sasuke for a while before he uses his as a replacement, made me think we are heading towards time-skip, but then he mentioned putting the project moon-eye forward which made me think, we are coming to an end.

Good to know Sasuke's being realistic about his abilities, he's going to take on all five Kage's together...but there was something he said about wanting to try something which makes me think Kishi plans on making Sasuke too strong once again. If Sasuke is really strong enough to take on the kages, does that mean both he and Naruto are now above the power levels of the Kages? Strongest two after Madara? who'se time-space traveling jutsu is freaking awesome.

Someone should really send Sasuke a memo about him being nothing more than a puppet, now controlled by another master, first it was Itachi, then Orichimaru and now Madara,

In other news: Temari looked hot in her new get-up, Gaara looks as cool as always and um...Kankuro....well he looks um...stranger than usual.

Also Karin and Kushina do not look alike, well they do but an manga artist can do only so much to kake charactors look different. people still insist that Tsunade is Minato's mother and Naruto's grandmother. And having red hair for a charactor is not that strange for Kishi, so far we have, Gaara, Sasori, Kushina, Negato, Karin and Yahiko, all with the exception of Gaara were introduced during shippuden. strange or what.

Haha, yea some of the Karui people are getting carried away with the NarutoxKaruiXSakura love triangle, but for the most part I think its just fun speculation. There are tiny hints, and we're all speculating on them. I don't think many people seriously think that Naruto is going to have any sort of serious feelings for Karui. And if they do, they're allowed to their own opinion.

I'm not trying to bash Sakura, just that I thought her breaking down like that so suddenly was a step back for her character development. My point was that Sakura knew that Sasuke had joined the enemy of Konoha for years. What difference does it make what enemy he's joined? Yea, joining Akatsuki would be a low blow because they're after Naruto and they just attacked the village, but to break down and cry over it? It just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. She seemed to have gotten over the fact that Sasuke had joined Orochochimaru and was prepared to physically fight him to show him the error of his ways. Her crying over Sasuke, when she seems to have moved on from that, when she vowed that she and Naruto would get stronger together, just seems unfair to her character. Naruto has gotten stronger, can face this without breaking down, yet Sakura can't? Just seems like Sakura got the short end of the stick is all.

As for Sasuke taking on the 5 kages, I'm in total agreement. It would hysterical to see Gaara nonchalantly pwn Sasuke and hand him over to a stunned Naruto.

I actually asked something to my mother before, after I showed her a recent manga chapter of Naruto and Sakura. I asked her if they look good together.

She said, aren't they siblings?

And that was where it hit me.

My mom explained that if you think about it deep enough, almost all anime characters, look alike. They share the same 'facial features', but of course, the artist has to change the colors and shapes of those features so the readers can understand the story, and distinguish who is who among the characters.

They were all drawn under the same figurine/sketch, and that is why, if you change some features about Sakura, she would look close or maybe even the same with Naruto.

Some anime has done similar things.

(My mom has this otaku eye. It runs in our blood. )

Karin and Sasuke...Karin and Karui...Karin and Kushina...Kushina and Karui...

They look the same because of the reason stated above. I don't believe other artists are making characters for Kishi-sensei, so yeah. Maybe, there is, but they have to keep Kishi's art of drawing characters, such as spiky hair, and large eyes.

Even if the three girls above have red hair, it doesn't mean that they are related.

Even if both Karin and Sasuke have the same spiky hair (with Karin's just longer), that doesn't mean that they are related by blood.

And, as said by others before me, Karin was just an orphan who was found by Orochimaru.

I also thought that too. But, I thought of that theory with Yahiko instead. He does come from a village that is nearer to the Whirlpool Country. Heck, I even thought that they were somehow siblings, because of the red/orange hair (now, this is supported by evidence -- it is a possibility, since remember how Nagato gave in so easily to Naruto, maybe it's because he looked so much like Yahiko.)

Yahiko can be...uhm...Naruto's uncle?

It's a possibilty! But, of course, I'm not saying that it's true as well.
