Oh right I said I would review each Yugioh series, staring with the first one But I never got around to it  I'll start doing that during my free time if I get any. II've been needing to catch up on my gaming too

btw from the original series which is your favorite season? 

 

Mine's Season 4: Waking the Dragons...I feel there were alot of stakes and growth for character when it came to Atem and with yugi's friends.

 

 

I like Season 5, though I feel if the entirety of it was revolved around Dawn of Duel arc instead half of it on Grand Championship (which was alright)   I think it would've been on par.

So I just got done watching the final episode of Yugioh Arc V, and oh man I quite curious to see how the english dub is gonna be handled because I will say what a send off it was for such an amazing series like this... I mean honestly I remember when they announced this series and I saw the first couple episodes things were a bit slow, but then we got into really dark territory, and I thought it worked perfectly.  Yuya I feel goes throughout alot of development throughout the course of the series I mean as far as bringing smiles to people's faces line is still there, but man does he go through a lot of shhiitt in the series, and the same thing could be said with Yuzu's character too and just how close it was able to draw the two of them together not just as friends, but as lovers too. I mean sure in the past the closet we got in terms of pairing you could say was Yusei and Akiza (though that one is 50%-50%)  and more so with Yuma and Tori from Zexal.  
 
 
What I really love about Arc V more than anything unlike other Yugioh series is that it was literally a 3 Part Story. 
 
 
Season 1 was about the Standard Dimension 
 
Season 2 was about the Snychro Dimension 
 
Season 3 was about XYZ Dimension/Duel Academy Arc 
 
 
 
I'll even go as far as saying that unlike 5D's which kinda dipped after the Earthbound Imortal Arc,  and especially Zexal for sure, I really do feel that Yugioh Arc V gets better and better by each passing episode. 
 
 
I will say say the last three minutes of the final episodes does feel a tad-bit rushed like I felt it could've used a couple more episodes it just made you wish there was more to it.., That and I think maybe there were a few misteps towards the last stretch of the final season, but nothing that made anything questionable like with XYZ when it came to the Ash-Greninja scenario or the Kalos League controversy, okay maybe just 1 thing towards the series finale of arc V (which for me both I was like it is annoying for sure, but what more could you do?). 
 
 
In terms of where Arc V stands compared to the other series? 
 
I think it's the second best series after Duel Monsters. 
 
 
 
Now as far as the Yuya x  Yuzu (fruitshipping) pairing goes:
 
 

 
 
Is it canon? or did it get the same treatment as NaruSaku did in Naruto? 
 
 
The best answer I could give is  think of Kingdom Hearts 2...  If you guys know what happened in that game then you'll know what I'm talking about.
 
 
 
Overall I think I'm going to give Yugioh Arc V an... GREAT+ !!
 
 
It's sad to see the series go similar to how things were with me when it came to Pokemon XY/XYZ, but all things must come to an end one day.  
 
 
Though there is Yugioh VRains on the horizon in about a little less than a month so lets see if the quality can be mirrored to that of what Arc V was able to achieve, but also do fix some of the missteps that Arc V faced throughout it's course. 
 
 
 
Which by the way before I forget here some info on potentially the main  female character in VRains:
 
 
 

 
 
 
Aoi Zaizen is her name 
 
 
Her design looks kinda interesting, but this the personality she's gonna have in the series:
 
Aoi is described as being very quiet on first sight, but as a charisma duelist  she becomes very active. 
 
 
 
For me I think she could turn out to be an interesting character, but I guess we got to wait and see.

Aoi is gonna be the "implied girlfriend"!!!!! Well that's how Yu-Gi-Oh rolls usually, so if she's not, I'd be surprised. I'm pretty excited about VRains on a completely serious note.  the links summon seems cool and the character designs are pretty solid, I just feel it is a bit of a back track to just focus on one new summon mechanic again when Arc V highlighted them all

I would say the pacing is well done so far but very little is explained so that is my biggest gripe

You know what's your favorite dragon from each series? 

 

For me it's this: 

 

Duel Monsters (Original Series):  Blue Eyes White Dragon 

 

GX:  Red Eyes Black Dragon 

 

5Ds:  Shooting Star Dragon 

 

Zexal:   Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon

 

Arc V:  Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon 

 

Vrains:  Pretty obvious Firewall Dragon.

I haven't watched the show since the second series ended, The third one's premise was ridiculous to me, Seriously battling on bikes? how can any decent human concentrate on a a battle while making sure they didn't crash and burn? it also felt like they were confusing the game too much by adding Synchro monsters, on top of the ritual summon and fusion summoned monsters was too much. Also didn't help the MC felt very much like a Mary Sue, in being too perfect and bland.

 

The next two series just looked silly with the character designs, I did try to get into the latest series, but after the first few episodes I dropped it as well, the battles were confusing.

 

Probably a good thing too, because I really don't want to get into collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards again, I did that when the GX was on, and managed to gather quite a collection, my nephew got into the game recently and I've caught the itch again, but I'm still more interested in the first gen and second gen cards.

 

My favourite cards are the Dark Magician cards, and ofcourse the Egyptian god cards and Blue Eye White Dragon. GX I liked the Elemental Hero cards, (though they are really not good in duels,) though my nephew has convinced me the Crystal Beast deck is the way to go.

 

So anyone else collect the cards?
