Make sense. Just wondering if this is the end for Madara.

In my opinion, madara only defeat if naruto & sasuke can seperate the bijuu with madara(naruto job) & strip his hashirama sm(sasuke job).
If that happen than madara will defeat for real in this volume.
If not, than I expect another dark moment that relate (most likely) with sakura.

Since I bad in prediction I think I should take your advice for put my expectation low.

I think the reason we didn't get a wakeup scene is precisely because we EXPECTED a wake up scene.

OH Kishi you troll guess we'll have to wait until the end of the battle to see Sakura's reaction. With the way things are going I think the manga might end by chapter 700.

Disappointed is an understatement, as I'm sure many others who predicted a NS scene when Naruto awakes. Typical Kishi, ducking 'n dodging these potential NS moments just to keep the suspense of an opposing dead pairing. 

 

Not even a thank you? No tears that Naruto is alive after that heartfelt inner monologue? Don't even show her hand leaving his insides? Oh but instead we get more parallelism crap like it hasn't been forced down our throats a billion times. 

 

Besides my disappointment this chapter was way too predictable. Gai losing and surviving was called the moment he entered the ring. Gai was dying but Naruto gave him the Jesus touch. Is this suppose to be a war? The only deaths were irrelevant side characters that rarely got any ink dedicated to them.

Mixed feeling

 

Action in the chapter is 100% satisfying and Gai is a total badass in my book

 

Development however is where I felt meh in this chapter. 

 

Naruto and Sasuke both wake up (in circumstance that should lead them to ask themselves question) Waking up by didn't give a crap about people surrounding them and just say let's go, it accurate for a Sasuke action but not so much for Naruto.

 

Well at least Sasuke got place for an interaction but not Narut which is kind of sad. I mean logically, he woke up in Obito dimension, with Obito who in Naruto POV might not be a total good guy ( he didn't know that he regret and had his change of heart). Then, Obito alone with Sakura in his dimension. Sakura just maintain Naruto alive for that transfer for I don't know how much time and the guy wake up let's go, I go back to fight OP Madara.

 

Should have been at least an Obito/Naruto interaction especially since Naruto appear on the field, it mean Obito open the portal for him to go through. NS moment we were hoping didn't happen either but I feel like this fast forward was too fast.

 

Hope Sasuke didn't appear in the field like Naruto did ( I mean you wake up and see Kabuto, he sure know if his here what it meant, but it doesn't mean he is trustworthy or something )

 

Well that chapter live up in the action though, love that last attack. But these interaction should have been there.

it seems a bit rushed, or rather...was it cut off?  for good or will it be brought up in a flashback later on?

I get the no NS revival stuff. I prepared myself for that.. But Naruto has been waving his ideals to Obito for awhile back and he won't mention anything? granted that bijuus told him already about Obito giving their chakra to him.. i dunno..

 

What's next anyway? I'm sure TenTen will have to do something with those sealing stuffs..are they going to use that against Madara?

Then what? Sasuke opening the seal later on leading to NaruSasu fight??

I am going to say this again. The jump from Naruto being on the ground along with Sasuke to them both standing and saying "Let's go" is weird. There is something missing. Even if not for a pairing moment, it feels like there is missing panels of them actually waking up. It's too huge of a jump.

I have a funny feeling this will play a role later down the road and the "Wake up scene" will be fleshed out. Just remember that just because we don't get it now, doesn't mean we won't get it at all.

They could have confessed their love right there for all we know....I know a stretch, but you can't tell me "That's it." I know Kishi's style too much now and I know he likes to withhold information till a certain point in time.

I am confident we will see something happen with these scene later down the road. Not now, but later...

BTW, No offense, Smiter, but I think I was ambiguous enough to not actually consider what I said to be a "spoiler," but whatever. Just saying.

To the people saying there was a parallel between NaruSaku and SasuKarin. Really? Is this really what you're settling for? Some images that vaguely look alike without any kind of meaningful substance?

To the people saying this was natural. Really? That was not what the majority predicted as natural for the last few weeks. The missing scenes are not going to come back, that's not Kishi's style, and hoping otherwise is wishful thinking.

1st impression:

what? no NS interaction? even a slightest? I waited for nothing. Guy`s dying, Madara is having fun, everyone is shoked and even TenTen is not here.. bad chapter.

2nd thoughts:

wait.. maybe there will be a huge focus on waking scene afterwards.. for both NS and SK. Guy is awesome (and he may not die (?)), more details of Eternal Rivals` story uncovered, new parallels, new abilities upcoming. great chapter!

 

P.S. btw I know what Naruto`s new power-up (if there will be one) will be like -->> (≡ ✳_✳≡)

There is nothing strange about the scene. You think there is, because contrarily to the tough faces some of you are putting up, the truth is all of you expected more from this moment.

The main pairing, with the hero and the heroine resolved off panel or in flashback? That's ridiculous.

There is a moment, you have to take a step back and evaluate. Kishimoto did chapter 615, regardless of there being a war and Neji dying just a chapter before. Hinata is a secondary character and it may have been platonic, but what NH had is way more important and substantial then some character placement and some speech bubbles looking vaguely alike.

This was a disappointment and it is obvious Kishimoto tiptoed around NaruSaku it for some reason. Parallel panels aren't development and they could be there for the Sasuke and Naruto comparison, nothing more. They aren't necessarily pairing related, yet some of you think this is on equal measures with something with substance.

I agree with ya. This chapter was good but i would say this was even worse than a filler. Why the hell kishi is tring to make sasuke hero all of so sudden!!!! I dont get it saying at a time lets go . Its a war not some game . No ns interactions even. Damn i am disappointed. This should not have gone like this . The name of the series is NARUTO not naruto and sasuke or sasuke why give hero's potential to him .
And guys u have marked the sun and moon symbols on their hands right any theory regarding to this? I would really like to know.

NS will get resolve when naruto confess to sakura before or after narusasu battle.

I enjoyed this chapter. We at least saw Sakura happy that Naruto is fine and Karin for Sasuke. I do wonder if Gai will be alive or that Naruto just kept him temporally alive.

Honestly, I was very disappointed, but I'm over it. There will be more NS moments in the future, and I think chapter 631 made it clear that NH and SS will never happen.

Nah, I dont think Kishi will return to that scene. Most probably Naruto just stood up and said "lets go". Its time for action, not words. Either way, why you people care so much? NS is going to happen either way, so just enjoy some action instead.
