I have a theory that  Sasuke will die, but not before discovering that there are many other Uchihas out there, that come out of the woodwork in the end (like with the Uzumakis over the course of the manga - Karin, Nagato, the shrine, etc. There have been shown to be a few sprinkled around.). So that gets Sasuke off the hook for letting his clan die, and he can instead give his life to protect his friends in the end.

 

I'm even betting that there's a secret Uchiha enclave somewhere, that split off from the crazy one. A secret group that isn't cursed by the sharingan, but that keeps their identity hidden so they aren't tainted by association.

 

And at the end they come out to give Sasuke some support, helping him change to being a good/protective force. And he lives long enough to see them welcomed into Konoha and reestablishing the Uchiha name in the empty sector of Konoha that was once theirs. Maybe even with Sasuke deeding it to them as the sole heir of the clan's Konoha lands/holdings.

 

I just don't see Sasuke as having kids. Nothing in his storyline has hinted that he wants/will have a romance, a family and stable home-life in the future. Naruto is the one who wants those goals, and is set up to get them.

 

I think Sasuke will succeed in reestablishing his clan, but I don't think he will do it through his own line of children. I think if he knew that he could restart the clan but let the last of the sharingan users die with him, he'd do it.

 

I think that's a really interesting theory. I like it.

who knows maybe Kishi will go the Toriyoma route and Naruto and Sasuke's kids will be best buds (like Goten and Trunks) and therefore be the end of the whole Senju vs. Uchiha war once and for all

 

though personally I think Sasuke is a huge danger to the shinobi world simply being alive, Kishi even said Sasuke does whatever he wants whenever he wants to whomever he wants and as you guys may notice his goals change drastically depending on the situation, add on to that the fact that Orochimaru implied he will surpass Madara and you have one big time bomb ready to go off.

I got from this manga that you make your own destiny and moving forward through hard times, you don't let the pain you feel run your life because that can cause more despair and destruction. Yes, the Uchiha value love over all and when they lose it, it hurts very much and they go into despair. But Sasuke, who has been through this already, would be smart enough to go after his child to stop them from making such a mistake. Who better to teach another way than someone who can relate and feels the same pain they do? This manga is also about understanding one another. Since he would know precisely how his child feels having lost his entire family in a single night to his own brother, I'm positive he would be able to talk sense into his child and teach him a better way. I think Sasuke will be redeemed by the end so when he does have a kid, things will be better for sure.

Now that would be a twist more Uchihas that we've never seen before. About Sasuke, I've always seen Sasuke getting a Darth Vader redemption moment, where he sacrifices himself. That would be his redemption. When Neji died and told Naruto "Because you told me I'm a genius" I saw that moment as a foreshadow for Sasuke sacrificing himself to save Naruto and telling him "Because I'm your friend" and that would be what Naruto told Sasuke in chapter 486. It would be a full circle.

 

@Pink Chidori You said that Sasuke would be smart enough to his child to do the same mistake. Well sorry to burst your bubble but Sasuke isn't really a smart character, actually he's pretty dumb. It's interesting because in the beginning Naruto was said to be the dumb one and Sasuke a genius. But if you actually look at it closely at it, you will find out it's the either way around. No I'm not saying that Naruto is a genius, what I'm saying is that Naruto can think for himself while Sasuke needs other people to do the thinking for him.

On one hand its not impossible for Sasuke to become a good guy for keeps this time to break the uchiha cycle of hatred and be good like Itachi and Shisui. Not to mention it would be pretty friggin tragic for Team 7 to spend the entire series trying to bring him back only to kill him off.

 

On the other hand, the shinobi world won't be safe for good unless Sasuke is dead (dude switches sides more than a bipolar transvestite) Not to mention he's foreshadowed to become more powerful than Madara who is the most dangerous shinobi. Then there's the fact that Kishi flat out said that Sasuke is neither good nor bad he just does whatever he wants, wherever he wants to whomever he wants.

@Pepsi(It feels like I'm talking to a beverage ) I know Orochimaru foreshadowed that Sasuke will be more powerful than Madara, but lets be honest from everything we've seen so far will Sasuke truly be more powerful than Madara? Answer: No. Of Course when Naruto and Sasuke will fight we are going to have someone making a remark that Sasuke really has surpassed Madara, probably Kurama or Naruto himself. But it will be a lie. Madara is in a completely different league.

Oh that is a question that is hard to say I mean to me Sasuke should just die I mean after all that he has done he won't be able to just live a normal life.

Killing the uchiha clan won't really end the cycle of hatred since it existed before the ninja, what they have is their own curse of hatred. Also if the gedo statue could be killed so easily the Sage would of done it in the first place.

That doesn't make him dumb. He can be impulsive, rash, hasty, spontaneous. But not dumb. His intelligence is average or average+.

Sasuke is quite impulsive, so I can understand where you would believe him to be 'dumb,' however the reason I do not personally say he is such a thing, is because he is also tactical and has shown intelligence despite his hastiness. This is why I say he has made quite a few dumb decisions and has went down a dangerous and dark path that led to even dumber choices. But I do not think he himself is dumb, and that he must learn from his experiences and come out better for it. Now, whether his child is with Karin, Ino, Tenten or whoever, I feel he will help them choose a better path than he himself did in the past.

I always thought that Sasuke would die and give his eyes to Naruto.

After re-reading chapter 631

 

He probably won't die, that would breach Naruto's promise to Itachi.

You know let's ignore his fights for the moment and focus on everything else. So his brother Itachi decides to be viewed as the bad guy, did all that he did so the village and Sasuke could be safe. You can argue that the way he did it wasn't particularly good but that's not the point. Now Sasuke knows this and decides to go completely against what Itachi did and wanted for him. Moving on in order for him to decide what to do next he needs a bed time story. Then when he learns the truth about the Uchihas, how they love and go into despair if they lose that love, instead of realizing that the problem are the Uchihas, he comes to the conclusion that the Hokages are the ones to blame. Not to mention that he needed to hear what happened to Itachi about 4 or 5 times until he finally got it.

All these things to me scream out that Sasuke isn't smart enough to understand the facts that are right in front of him and he's not really capable of thinking for himself.
