I was thinking - all those things Sakura said to Naruto, about him being strong and surviving... were those said for Naruto's sake? Or for Sakura to comfort herself because she can't bear the thought of losing him?

 

Maybe both, though I 'm not sure that Naruto is even conscious enough to hear her at the moment ...

Huh? Can I get a massive high five from the entire fanbase please? I know some of you called it last chapter, but seriosuly I called this like ages ago. I called it since chapter 620.

Who doubted me?

Yes, I am extremely bragging, but only because I called even before anyone had an idea of something like this happening. I called it over 30 chapters ago with no proof or any idea where the plot was going to go.

BTW, isn't this going to end up almost identical to that OVA? I think so.

So NS fans....give me some love.

Ok, about her, the reason why Kishi did the way he did was to establish three things:

 

1) Naruto is dying and "nothing" can be done.

2) Chakra from the Alliance are fading fast

3) To end Hinata's role

 

She has the eyes to tell us that Naruto is slowly dying so this confirms that he is going to die if nothing is done. When she ran for Naruto, she tripped because she got tired and her chakra, as stated by others, was running out, but for her, it's gone, hence no Kuruma chakra. She can only pray. That said BYE BYE, HINATA. YOUR PAIRING IS ENDING IN THE NEXT UPCOMING CHAPTERS! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Just take a moment and look at how GRAND this chapter is.

1. We're getting THAT moment. The moment that will likely close several shipping doors.

2. Sakura will likely reveal her feelings! Naruto is knocking on deaths door. I wouldn't be surprised if the next chapter is dedicated to her mostly coming to the realization that she's in love with Naruto.

3. Hinata tripping while running for Naruto speaks to me. It says, she'll never reach Naruto. Not in the way fans expect. No matter how hard she tries. No matter how much she yearns and wants Naruto, Naruto isn't gonna return her feelings.

Being called delusional, and claiming that we're not able to see the grand scheme of things when the pairing choice was SO obvious sincethe damn bench sscene . I've shipped it hard since then and throughout the story, there was never ever anything significant enough to make me feel that NaruSaku wasn't gonna happen. The build up, the chemistry, their awesome dynamic. NARUSAKU IS IT! Nuff said!

you said it, MASSIVE HIGH FIVE for this celebration on the podcast. Plus I agree, that OVA was leading to something, and now it's paying off. Plus judging by this chapter, I think the volume's focus has been decided.

yeah strider like i said in a post earlier sakura was able to reach naruto and hinata wasn't sakura is by his side and hinata is not which is now urging me to watch by my side with that kushina hug lol
