I like how Obito called Sasuke a fellow traitor. Aha, tell him, Obito.

I wonder where Kakashi and Rin were heading off to together... And aww, he had his hand on her back. I like to think they were good friends. I love Team Minato.

And yesss, new volume next week. Wonder what the focus will be on.

If Obito doesn't care about his old life anymore, or the world, why does he keep getting flashbacks of it?

He did terrible things with the excuse 'Minato-sensei, I don't care anymore', even still calls him sensei.

Is there any good left in him?

I know, right? Lol, I noticed that, too. If he doesn't care, he's got a funny way of showing it.

I think there is, deep down there somewhere. Mostly connected to his love for Rin, I think. And he keeps flashbacking to his old life, calls Minato 'sensei,' so I think there's a little bit of good. But maybe I'm biased cause I like Obito, heh.

I'm upset that Obito survived because it means more kittening about Rin, but at the same time he can gain SOME respect back for becoming  threatening villain. Madara's just sitting on his ass after all. I'm confused how Minato just somehow knew Obito's story. I knew the Kyuubi chakra let them sense malice but I didn't know it lets them read minds.

Also, I hope my fears aren't correct about Kishi having Sakura show off in that one chapter and then retreat to healing fodders for the remainder of the fight. That's not only a contradiction to her whole speech of not looking at Naruto and Sasuke's backs but also makes it seem like he thought he'd just throw her a bone. She better get back into the action. Tsunade's on her way!

And I'm getting tired of waiting for Tobirama to do something cool.

Excluding the alleged parallel that Sakura has with Rin, the single most important motivation behind Tobi's actions, she has no relevance in the current situation, you're right. That shouldn't prevent her from being able to continue fighting against the replicas though. The other user already stated it but Katsuyu is capable of healing independently from the summoner. Why she is only staring vacantly out into the battlefield atop her summon no one knows but it's of no benefit to anyone. Currently, her actions, or lack thereof, are reminiscent of the valueless child whose character Sakura has been striving so hard to overcome since the Forest of Death. Ironically she seems complacent with resembling that child.

Try and prove that there is a reason for her absence apart from acting as a healer for the rabble.

It's just that Sakura doesn't have a role here to do. She showed some of her power then she said that she wanted to heal the alliance, which to show that her healing powers are great also, meanwhile Naruto and Sasuke gone to do the combo attack. Afterwards, this talk with Sai... And it doesn't stop here which I'm sure that you know that.

The past two or three chapters were about Obito and Kakashi, Obito getting killed from Madara and the Kages trying to stop Madara till Obito reveals that he's the Ten Tail Jinchuriki. Yes, Sakura could go and stop the Juubi with Naruto and Sasuke but they were the closest, plus, it wasn't that big of a moment. The cause of Hashirama telling Naruto and Sasuke that they were the closest and go to stop Madara was to have Sasuke reach Obito and have this small action with Obito and to see Minato.

The main characters should get involved in everything, but not in every single action. Every main character has its role and a specific time for them to have it. Sakura won't stop just after healing the alliance. She'll have other things and roles to do in this battle like Naruto and Sasuke having their roles.

If Obito doesn't care about his old life anymore, or the world, why does he keep getting flashbacks of it?

He did terrible things with the excuse 'Minato-sensei, I don't care anymore', even still calls him sensei.

Is there any good left in him?

There's good left in him. It's just he's not himself which we see it too when he said in this chapter to Minato " Sensei ".

I also believe Orochimaru is the same but not like Obito's character. Every villain have a good side deep within them.

I guess Obito calling Sasuke says more about himself than anything else. Obito considers his own goals endeavors as something that will benefit everybody, but Sasuke just wanted to destroy.

Uhm Orochimaru is a traitor to the Akatsuki.

He betrayed the Akatsuki long before Sasuke joined.

I know that, but he is Sasuke's fellow :P

Edit: Ohh Madara just stands there and watches, without giving who knows what, on how his plan came down to nothing. Something tells me he didn't had a plan, like people said, he is just doing this for s*** and giggles. He doesn't care about power, or order. He doesn't seem to have a set goal...he just wants to watch the world burn.

Like Sasuke doesn't have a set goal, he just wants to destroy the world and recreate a new one.

The cause of Hashirama telling Naruto and Sasuke that they were the closest and go to stop Madara was to have Sasuke reach Obito and have this small action with Obito and to see Minato.

That's precisely the issue though. Sakura is intended to represent the characteristics of a heroine yet ever since chapter 634 her involvement in the conflict has been downgraded to supplemental duties as her teammates continue to act as the head of the Alliance's offensive force.

You can bring into discussion the myriad of qualities that a hero comprises of but what Sakura is doing at the moment, vacantly gazing into the masses of Jubi replicas whilst remaining completely inanimate, is not what would be commonly associated with a hero. Hell, the fact that there are numerous groups of inferior shinobi fighting in her stead isn't practical even from a medic's perspective. Would it not be more logical to become involved in the fighting if your aptitude for incapacitating large numbers of the enemy at once minimized the need for healing these weaker soldiers? Nevermind the fact that Katsuyu can restore any injuries on her own.

The main characters should get involved in everything, but not in every single action. Every main character has its role and a specific time for them to have it.

Yes, it's only because Sakura's status as a protagonist is inferior comparative to her teammates' that she has been put to the side for the time being. Despite the fact that throughout almost all of P2 following the Sasuke and Sai arc (her effectiveness in that mission is debatable as well)her role has been minor. The situation calls for her relegation to the background once again because Kishi is incapable of providing her with an active role for more than one just scene to help distinguish her from the likes of Ino, Kiba, or the other side-characters.

Even I won't contest to the notion that Sakura hasn't been truly acting like a heroine since the Sasori fight.

Sakura won't stop just after healing the alliance.

That is exactly what Sakura is doing right now. She has literally not taken a single step or carried out any actions at all since restoring the fodder to full strength. Having a brief conversation with Sai relating to the nature of Sasuke's actions doesn't constitute as effective or heroic behaviour.

She'll have other things and roles to do in this battle like Naruto and Sasuke having their roles.

No offense, but your assurances hold little value if Kishi doesn't offer any indication that there is more intended for Sakura aside from medical duties. Sakura is not acting like a protagonist at the moment. In fact, she isn't doing anything at all. There is nothing to suggest that her role will be expanded upon anytime soon. Especially with Naruto, Sasuke, Minato, and the Hokage clones being available to fight against Tobi; all of whom are much more powerful than Sakura.

Also what obito meant by fellow of the traitor, it's after Sasuke attacked him and he referred to itachi.

I'm quite sure he's referring to Orochimaru. He's realized that Sasuke has brought Minato and the other previous Hokages with him and that  Oro is the one who had revived them. Ater Itachi's death, Obito won Sasuke over,

but now he's allied with Oro again, who's a traitor of Akatsuki. That just shows that Obito still strongly believes in the goals of Akatsuki.

He can't be referring to Itachi, because he's dead.

There shouldn't have been a recess of her involvement as a fighter in the first place. Condemning her to the back so she can heal a group of ineffectual fodder doesn't assist with attempting to portray her as the heroine. To be honest, her inactivity only makes her look like the refuse of this battle such as Team 10 and the other rookies. Sakura distinguished herself by acting as the successor of Tsunade in the Sannin trinity a few chapters previously but now with the focus having shifted to other plot points she's being discarded.

Sakura just seems to lack the overarching significance in other conflicts that Naruto and Sasuke have.

Right now what you just said is whats disappointing me about the recent recent chapters. I don't want sakura to make a dramatic scenes if something

happens to naruto and sasuke and only if its has to do with the love triangle. Having her fight with her boys like a team would make the manga more enjoyable and promising towards sakura.

Unexpected turn of events eh? Great chapter. This!!!!!^^^^^^^^^

Also, I cant wait till sakura chan releases her true power!!

Also, it looks like sasuke wanted to stop madara too!! :wibble: oohh sasuke im just glad your not going evil!!!

Bolded: NOOOO Sasuke is evilll!!!!!!

TBH i know OR=NS but i dont think in the end Kishimoto is gonna just say that out loud, for me it would be awkward if NH will happen but seeing OR now wont make me anymore confident that NS is endgame sorry not even a little

i think Obito called himself betrayer and sasuke  fellow of the betrayer he was the one who helped obito remember .

Bolded: No joke when i say this but i completely forgot about Hinata and her existance let alone NH lol. seriously NH is gone for good dont bother with NH anymore

Good chapter!!

@Athek

I totally agree with you, this chapter should have had at least one panel showing that Sakura is ready to fight.

Right now, it seems that she's just hurt emotionally by Sasuke's attitude again. She should really snap out of it.

Whatever the case, how will things go forward? Now does Sasuke think this ordeal with obito is more reason to try and destroy the tailed beasts? Obito literally became a monster and let's face it, Madara is more of a threat as an edo zombie. I am confused as to why hashirama and tobirama were so limited to clones mainly because as edo tensei revived, they have unlimited chakra but I guess the real deal withi this is that they never run out of chakra but still even in their max power, are limited to how much they can distribute and channel at once so if 5 clones was harshiramas max in life, it's his max in edo tensei. So now a few plot elements have been set up:
- Obito takes center stage as the main villain again and now after becoming the ten tails jinchurki, it makes things just so much harder for the heroes.
-sasukes motives will rise in time and impact others like naruto and sakura as sai, jugo, and orochimaru noted he would do something different and what Sasuke displayed.
-taka is moving again, maybe they will save Yamato?
- the current kage are coming back, when they hit the battlefield, it will be more power to the alliance.
- Madara is still a threat, but will he pull something like trying to control obito?

As much as things have occurred, this makes me interested to see how the heroes will overcome this.

I agree with Atheck about Sakura, but I think we shouldn't come to conclusions too quickly or be too worried about it. It's no biggie. : p

Right now it looks like she only gets paneltime when she has a purpose, but I think it's alright..for now. This chapter was really important and only important things happened, characters with direct connection to Obito/the Uchiha.

I think the "fellow of a traitor" is an expression, like "shell of a man." In the Mangastream translation, Obito said "my fellow Judas."

It's sad but I'm starting to believe that it have a lot to do with her conversation with Sai, if you notice after her surprised face fallowing Hinata's action Kishimoto excluded her from the Manga, it seems that in order for Kishimoto to create more tension he likes to keep things pending on the readers mind to keep them interested.

Another thing that is bothering me about this Manga is the lack of dialog, characters barely interact, it's a complete different from the start of this Manga when character did a lot of talking this just show that Kishimoto no longer has the same passion.

This i don't want sakura to just appear if something terrible happens She more than that like in the sasori fight she showed determination, same personality as narutos and strengh as a person...i miss those days.
