Well White Zetsus were made using a clone of Hashirama, and then black Zetsus came about when Madara infused a part of his will into them. I don't think it has much to do with Itama, but more to do with the personalities of Hashirama and Madara. The white ones are more silly, while the black ones are more serious (Naruto/Sasuke and Hashirama/Madara parallel anyone? ;D). But...if you really wanted to connect it to Itama, you could probably say that the bond between Hashirama and Madara actually started with his death and Madara finally being able to get to the other side along with Hashirama.

But I agree that this chapter was really interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Hashirama arrives at his own answer of what a worthy shinobi is, how he formed the alliance between Senju and Uchiha, and what exactly caused this to change. A friend of mine suggested that Mito might have something to do with that change (not entirely the only reason...but something). But we'll see .

I wonder if people are going to think that Hashirama is paralleling Sasuke due to the "what is a worthy Shinobi" question.

Could it be that this is some interesting way to "hint" at Sasusaku ( more like Red-herring just to be clear.) and Make it more...interesting? I'm hoping that their will be more NS hints...But I think right now, nothing romantic is going to happen for a while.

Naruto and Sakura haven't had a real good long talk together in quite a while.

That wouldn't make sense because it's obvious that Hashirama is much more similar to Naruto in the way they both want to change the way the ninja system works, or change what defines a shinobi. There's also the extra bonus of both having similar personalities as well. Madara would be more like Sasuke because they're both more serious than their "brothers" (Hashirama/ Naruto). Plus, there's the risk of Sasuke becoming another Madara with him entering true darkness, if he hasn't already.

My reaction reading the previous chapter was "My god Naruto is so weak".
My reaction reading this chapter was "My god this is boring".

I want to ask you guys/girls a question did Kishimoto got fired? Because personally after 572 there hasn't been a single chapter that I actually liked, by that I mean a chapter that made me read it again because I enjoyed it. After 572 I read all the chapters twice but that's only because I wanted to better understand them, not because I enjoyed them. I don't know about you guys/girls but everything after that was repetition, crap and asspulls and things that contradict what was established before. Sure there are few good moments but that's really it there are only a few. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of flashbacks. I'm really disappointed in whoever is in charge of this story.

I agree, this chapter was boring. Kishi pulls in flashbacks in the middle of an arc, not to mention how slowpaced it is. He gives me so little in one chapter, and I'm tired of hearing the "Ninjas will always hate eachother" thing all the time. Fortunately, reading OP right after Naruto made me feel better. Oda pulls so much information and details into one chapter. At least I was satisfied with something on wednesday. ^^

I think Sakura fans are getting really desperate to connect Sakura to the story somehow. I can't really blame them.

I don't know... to be honest younger Madara felt more like Naruto with his whole getting angry over nothing while younger Hashirama was seclusive and had a more direct anger like Sasuke. Role-reversal at a younger age, but the older versions are like this: Hashirama=Naruto and Madara=Sasuke

The only parallel I see is the bond that will evolve in the flashback. Other than that, for now, I see no resemblance about it. Besides, if we really want a parallel, well Tobi pretty much confirmed it a long time ago. Next topic.

I guess he altered the design so that the outer circle blended in with the clothing. It could mean something, or nothing. I'll choose to wait.

Yeah no doubt, just... it felt a bit like that because Naruto was never aware that he was truly better then Sasuke for a time when they were younger (around the beginning of the Chunin Exam). Sure skipping rocks doesn't mean much, but it sorta counts ^^;

This symbol can mean something, but, still, it can mean nothing by the original symbol that Sakura has. So, let's wait and see if Kishi will use it after all XD
