All i know is, Microsoft needs to think, hard, and quickly. After a conference like that, stabbing them mericisly, sony using the disadvantages of Microsoft to their own advantage, this is how you win a crowd over.
If Microsoft wants the Xbox one to do anything, even have 1 year worth of life on the market, it needs to do a few things:
1. Think, and I mean actually think, one reason customers have always been frustrated with Microsoft is they are so stubborn and unyielding to flexibility, even Gabe newell of steam described the Xbox live serive as a total disaster. Back in 2008, when new content was coming for TF2, being greedy as they are, MS wanted them to charge prices for new content, but this was not valves way so the orange box for that system is still raw, never updated like the PC one, thats one reason I got the orange box for the PC back then.
2. Fire, I mean absolutely freaking FIRE THE RETARDS who thought of these things in the first place. Its kinda like removing a fish and trying to let it live without water, its a game console right? So causing these issues for people so they cannot even play them kinda defeats the purpose? Either MS has gotten too confident in themselves or just lost all common sense, its like they are now going to depend on the non-gamer crowd, little boys who only play COD and the rest of the non-gaming community who play those short, poorly made, overused type games (like just about any sports game or dancing simulator). Only chance MS even has is if they change the BS with used games and the always on connection. I mean the only reason it was like this was because of the used game market, but they were just too concerned with losing sales, they tried this. If MS really wanted to prevent Piracy, going all digital download like steam is not an issue, you cannot pirate games or resell them if they are downloaded only.
3. I love Halo, its one of my favorite franchises, but unless MS actually changes the BS they have right now, I'm either going to stick with my 360 for however long it is continued to be supported or eventually jump to the PS4, cause even as much as I love Halo, even with Halo 5 for 2014, Its not enough to keep me on it. I mean I saw Destiny, and after seeing how they can do this same "Always constant changing world" on the PS4 with no issues, why should I do this on the Xbox one? Why would anyone?
The only real games I thought looked interesting on the xbox one was titanfall and well obviously Halo 5 (from what the teaser was implying). Destiny would be the same on it, but why should we pay more for something that will only cause us issues? Thats the idea,
November is still a few months off, all I am expecting from MS in the future is to fix this crap if they know whats good for them, I never had any real issues with them personally but if MS is really this arrogant or just plain stupid, they need to realize the folly of their choices, watch the Sony conference again, lick their wounds by reversing these decisions, and hope its enough to get back others. First impressions make a difference, Sony did it right, MS shot themselves in the foot big time. I like Halo, but unless MS changes this crap, I feel my Halo journey ends in Halo 4, (unless 343 goes to sony or the PC if MS fails). All I know is, after this, if MS has any and I mean any type of intelligence at all, they need to fix this crap ASAP or its their loss, there is only so much a supply of stupid customers. But once those customers learn the difference, it makes them sink. All i can say is, where the MS execs high that day when they even thought of this? Oh well I have destiny preordered but no chosen console. Its looking likely to go to my 360 though, just cause I don't want to spend $400 to play a new game.

http://www.joystiq.c...quires-ps-plus/ This is pretty much the only downside to it.
However, PS+ gives you a LOT of free games. 1-3 games per week and numerous deals off and if you don't pay PS+, the only loss is the inability to play online. You can still access their media service and play single player.
