Some of us just find it questionable that she would mysteriously disappear during the previous two chapters when Naruto is distributing chakra out to everyone. It wasn't just a minor error on Kishi's part, the absence was strongly apparent. Whether that was Kishi's intentional doing or not we don't know yet. Think about it. Out of everyone on the battlefield who Naruto could grant chakra to in order to assist him why would he give it to complete strangers and not to his closest and most trustworthy teammate? It just doesn't make sense. Of course it could just be the aforementioned error with Sakura along with Sai having "slipped Kishi's mind" again. In which case the man has officially earned my condemnation as a writer. Though I have no doubt the people from other sites will be either indifferent or possibly even happy about her absence regardless of how much it damages Kishi's credibility to handle characters, main characters at that.

You and me both. She's not in the same spot she was in before. She's not there most likely with the cast, and if she were healing, Kishimoto most likely would of shown it. He gave us small panels of her each chapter letting us know where she is, and then she's just gone along with Sai. I can't even begin to tell you where she might be because she can be anywhere at this point IMO. I'm still VERY anxious to see what's going on with her, but at least I'm not upset with the chapter... LOL That's a good thing I suppose.

So at least it seems like we are going to have some chilled weeks here. No thread explosion every new chapter.
Then theres also the possibility of forshadowing of the Movie through minato. I remember kishi saying that some things happening in the movie are maybe also brought up in the manga, so the possibiltiy of sakura meeting minato is there.

I don't really mind that the story is shifting back to Sasuke, because even though Sasuke doesn't really interest me that much, I'm still very curious to know who "The ones who know everything" are and I also want to see where Sasuke's development will go.

We now know who "The ones who know everything" are. Now all that is left is to see what Sasuke will do once he gets the answers he seeks. Will this strengthen Sasuke's resolve to destroy Konoha or is this the beginning of his redemption? The NaruSasu parallel in this chapter seems to suggest the latter, but then again this is Sasuke. The most mentally unstable character in the entire Narutoverse.

But yeah, this opens up so many possibilities, like a second meeting between Naruto and Minato or another NS parallel or a re-match between Hashirama and Madara. So many possibilites!

Also, what exactly is Orochimaru up to? I thought it was really funny how he turned down Suigetsu's suggestion to destroy Konoha because "Snake is no more". That seemed a bit odd to me. I also didn't know that he was still "missing his arms" because of the Shinigami and that this somehow limited his power.

But hey, at least Minato's soul is free now apart from being an edo tensei zombie of course. Perhaps Kushina will be resurrected as well. A man can dream right.

I must admit though, seeing Minato as an ET was a bit...unnverving.

Good chapter but depending on Sasuke's answer it will depend whether his the main villain or not.

Finally someone who thinks outside the Box, Sasuke becoming a full villain now makes no sense because no one is there to stop him.

Of course Oro isn't going to relinquish control of these zombies once Sasuke is finished talking with them. It's a golden opportunity for him to try and steal Sasuke's body. I doubt Sasuke can take all four Kages by himself even if he acquired SoT and YM from having Itachi's eyes transplanted into himself. That brings up the issue of what Oro intends to do with them after this conversation is finished.

Regardless my main concern right now is the location of Sakura and what she's up to.

I will hate if the Hokages are used against Sasuke, it only means that Sasuke will beat all four.

Hashirama vs. Madara part two.
Naruto will probably meet Minato again. They're probably going to fight and Naruto will win to show "current generation surpassing the last" or some other bs. But I'm glad we get to see Yondy again. It was only a matter of time.

Actually kinda looking forward to this... Though we'll have to deal with Sasuke for a while, we're finally seeing the Hokage again, and we've never seen them all together, right? Can't wait to see their powers and abilities again. We'll soon find out how Hashirama defeated Madara, probably. And the Alliance is DEFINITELY going to have an even harder time, if the Hokages show up to the battlefield and face off against the good guys (though they'll probably break out of the control eventually)..

I wonder what Sasuke wants to know from them... About the massacre, maybe. But do they really "know everything"?

Obvious Naruto parallel is obvious. But hey, he said Konoha hadn't changed a lot, right? Guess they changed stuff while they were rebuilding.

I wonder how the 1st and 2nd Hokage feel about being Edo Tensei summoned by Orochimaru twice. I hope we get flashbacks to Hashirama and Madara's fight but I really don't want them to fight again because what is the point of all the speeches, the entire alliance and surpassing the previous generations if someone from the past wins your fight for you.

But I would love to see Madara's reaction to a revived Hashirama, would it be anger, fear, what?. Also with Minato's reactions, his son is there, his student is there and his other student is a villain against the entire world and is responsible for both his and his wife's death. How is Minato one of the ones who know everything, when everything either happened before his time or after his death. 1st and 2nd Hokage make sense, 3rd Hokage does too depending on the answers Sasuke seeks but what about Minato do you gain knowledge in death or is it a buy 3 and get 1 free sort of thing and Minato is the free gift.

Regarding Minato, I think as someone said it, Sasuke will merely confirm about the Kyuubi attack. But however, I wouldn't put it past the Minato time travel theory coming true.

I wonder...now that Minato is back does this mean so for the other half of the Kyuubi? If so, who thinks Naruto will absorb it to be "complete" with Kurama?

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if Kurama suddenly claims his other half has returned next chapter. Y'know, I can't help but think Minato had this all planned out years ago. My gut feeling is based on the Minato time travel theory being true after all.

Yeah, that'd be great to see. Of course, I'm pretty sure Sakura and Shikamaru are the only ones who figured it out already. Ino and Kiba's reactions are the ones I want to see most. Would be funny to see Ino fangirling over Naruto after all this time.

So there are 6 Zetsu. 4 were used to revive the Hokages, 1 was used as Orochimaru's new body. I wonder if they'll make use of the last one. If Naruto is meant to encounter them Kishi might as well also revive Kushina and make it a full blown family reunion. I really wouldn't put it past him since he's now fond of the concept of family, which was implied thanks to Road to Ninja.

I would find it funny if both Minato and Kushina were able to make reference on how the way Naruto and Sakura get along resembles their own. Minato would probably say how Naruto inherited his tastes in women, and Kushina would just start fangirling since Sakura reminds her of herself.

Or maybe Kishi could go insane and actually force a parallel with Hinata.

Lol at the last part. But really I would like for Minato to confirm Sakura=Kushina so NH fans can finally stay quiet and stop doing comparisons that Kushina=Hinata or Minato=Hinata.

Well.
My hopes are that Minato does not go to Naruto's battle because there's no reason for him to be there, maybe Hashirama will if he can defy edo tensei.

I didnt liked this chapter overall, Sandaime got trolled, he sacrificed his life to make sure that Hashirama and Nidaime wont get ressurrected again.
Sandaime's sacrfice was for nothing.

Oh Minato.

It's a good thing Orochimaru released them from the Shinigami's stomach at least. They weren't just sealed in there forever, they were eternally fighting correct?

Anyway, all I care about right now is the possibility of Minato seeing Naruto again. Oh the wonderful drama that would produce. Kishi said Madara has no weaknesses. Well, he didn't, bur is Harashima his weakness now? And you know, the Nidaime is just a mystery it seems like. We don't know much about him, was he involved in Shodaime's troubles?

Anyway, back to blubbering about Minato, what is this time travel theory people speak of? Time travel is my favorite kind of fanfiction, I wouldn't mind reading some theories!

The theory comes from a fic Paradox Jast (a member here) wrote. It's called Hindsight:Foresight. It's discontinued as of now, but it's definitely a recommended read.

Basically, the theory is that Minato accidentally created a time-traveling version of Hiraishin that lets him go to the future for short amounts of time (if his time's up, Minato goes back to his present time). While he travels several years to the future, he also learns of everything that happens in the series. This theory helps explain a whole lot of things such as the multiple locks and failsafes in Naruto's seal. It also explains last chapter as well, concerning the chakra freebies Naruto gives out to the alliance.

Honestly, I don't think the alliance would've had a fighting chance against the Juubi like now if the seal hadn't been specifically designed to help Naruto do so. Also, in that story, Minato very much intends to be resurrected when the time is right. That time is now. I'm betting big bucks that Minato also specifically designed for Naruto's seal to react to Minato and release him from ET. Kushina is another possibility to be resurrected as well.

This was actually a good chapter, better than the past few. We should not be concerned with Sakura's abstance this time as the area of focus was different. Also this chapter proves Sakura is not in Konha so we can rule that out. She will reappear and I would suspect one week in February. For Kishi to forget Sakura and Sai would be well dumb. Last we saw Sai was in 615 as well when he carried Bee and allowed him transform mid-air to attack the ten tails. So for Sakura and Sai to be off-screen has to lead to something. We will see soon enough. If anyone was forgotten it was Yamato, Yamato has been gone since 2011. This is a good chapter to get away from the whole pairing crisis. We will see Sakura again soon, so technically its still been 2 chapters without her, don't count this one cause its not on the focus of the war, this one is on Sasuke's resolve.

As for this chapter, I can only imagine what will happen. Madara is all powerful and immortal, only thing he cannot do is control a perfect 10 tails. Each of the kage though has info relating to the situation, 1st about Madara, 2nd about the Edo Tensi (as he created it), 3rd about the secret stuff, and Minato not sure. Knowing Orochimaru, he will use them to basically mess with everyone, even taunting his own sensei. Sasuke will learn about Minato and how he is Naruto's father. The biggest thing is Naruto and Minato will have to clash, to prove he has overcome (kurama said he surpassed his parents but this will prove it). But even if Orochimaru tries to use this on Naruto, it would not work. Minato has been proud of Naruto already and after a short fight he would see that his work is done and would leave at last just like Itachi. Kushina cannot be revived, no DNA of her was taken. There are 2 weaknesses the Edo Tensi, one is the willpower of the revived, if they can overcome it and find closure they will be released. The other is what Madara did, if they know the seal formula they can unbind themselves from the caster and become immortal unlimited energy haxxors.

The reason this chapter was so good was it is Orochimaru's, not Sasuke's. Evil mastermind, plus we got to see creepy body takeovers again.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that half the nine-tail's chakra was also sealed in the shinigami. So potentially Naruto got a Dragonball power-up, and he will be tipped off that someone (outside of the war) has managed to unseal the shinigami.

As for Hashirama fighting Madara... Some people were guessing it was Hashirama plus his wife that managed to beat Madara. If this is true, we may find out how Madara was beaten in the past, but it will be up to Naruto (or Shikamaru or Sakura) to figure out a similar way to do it now.

There are 2 weaknesses the Edo Tensi, one is the willpower of the revived, if they can overcome it and find closure they will be released.

Hmm... Now I'm getting an interesting idea...

Madara: "I won!! I'm king of everything, and get to do anything I ever wanted to do!"
