That quote doesn't apply here because there's no "rules" involved in any of this. It's either "live" or "die", nothing else. He'd do what he'd have to do to keep everyone safe. He would try to avoid abandoning anyone, but sometimes sacrifices need to be made.

Well, at the very least, I think Kakashi would empathize with Naruto. Naruto was given the order to not enter the battlefield, and then chose to ignore that order to avoid abandoning his friends. But you're probably right, Kakashi does know how to make hard decisions.

Yes, Kakashi would definitely empathize with Naruto. I won't deny that at all; he's known Naruto for years and grown very close to him.

However, I do feel disappointed that the Raikage already knows Naruto's parentage. I dearly hope that, when Naruto makes it to the battlefield, we don't get the Konoha 11 saying "Oh, we already know that the Yondaime is your dad." The Kyuubi revelation back at the beginning of Part 2 was a disappointment (Sakura and the others already knowing about it), and I don't want to see a repeat of that. Whatever happened to surprises, Kishimoto?

Actually I think it's more that Naruto told the Raikage his parentage, A says he's the fastest man alive now that the fourth hokage is dead, and Naruto then asks about him knowing his dad. Wonder if A knew Naruto's mother, he had her kidnapped afterall. or it was his dad.

Wait a minute, accordiing to this chapter A had no brother, so who was the one who kidnapped Hinata? This flashback was over 20 years ago, and we are told A's going to be the next Raikage, I doubt they'd wait eight years to pass the reigns to him...blah he'll probably end up being the previous Raikage's partner or something.

I doubt Konoha 11 know Naruto's Parentage, well with the exception of Shikamaru, he figured out Naruto was the nine-tails hosts so probably joined the dots between, the Fourth Hokage, and sealing Kyuubi in a baby that looked suspiciously like him, specially with no other sunny blond in the village. (He's probably the one that told everyone else about Naruto being the host.) But I can pretty much be certain that when he makes an entry we will see multiple statements or 'The Flying Thunder God' 'Fourth Hokage' etc.

That's the thing. The Raikage didn't look the least fazed or surprised with the revelation of Naruto's parentage. So either the similarities are unmistakable, or really everyone knew from the start and kept it from Naruto, and that's unlikely... unless someone with the knowledge and authority, namely Tsunade, told him.

Well this chapter was pretty ok, not so much epic as it was informative. Never again will I trust a title, cause I thought for sure these guy's would be in an all out struggle. Still Naruto's power is really interesting

Actually, Shizune is Tsunade's main apprentice.

I think they are both on equal footing as main apprentices. Shizune being a Jonin and having been her apprentice much longer, while Sakura's skill is higher than Shizune's now- Chiyo states Sakura at 16 was at least on the level Tsunade was at 16, and she's growing toward exceeding Tsunade at her best. Shizune definitely has above average skills (Ino is probably more on the typical level of a medic nin), but she's not quite at Tsunade's level and has reached her peak. It's more correct to say Shizune is Tsunade's senior apprentice. Tsunade treats Shizune as an assistant and Sakura more like a daughter.

On the chapter- I thought Tsunade came across very well, she understands better than Ei on when to compromise and when to hold her ground. Ei comes across pretty ugly- he does not see jinchuriki as equally human, he sees them closer to what the Oonoki does than Gaara or Tsunade. Tsunade sees them as fully human beings, and never seemed to think otherwise- but then her grandmother Mito was a jinchuuriki as was her cousin Kushina. Hiruzen had a similar belief, but then one of his two sensei's wife was a jinchuuriki and his wife was Kushina's doctor...

But Ei, despite his close bond with his adoptive brother, does not. I contrast that to Kankuro and Temari (once Gaara made the choice to follow Naruto's way)...

Might be interesting how Terumi Mei would see jinchuuriki after meeting Bee and Naruto...

I ALWAYS hated the Raikage. ALWAYS, since his first appearance, and I was surprised by the welcome he got from fans.
This chapter only enforces my dislike for him. He really is a vile human being.

When you say the good old days it reminds me of part 1 Naruto. When he was so funny and goofy and careless. Everyone was so much less serious (except sasuke) also sasuke was actually a lot more likeable than he is now. Aaaaah those were the days

Last time i saw Naruto have fun with some of Kohona 11 before he left was after the Team 7 reunion.

Lol, anyway, I was disgusted at how the Raikage talked about Jinchūriki's. They have no "individual" decisions. Sickening! Though, I suppose in some ways it could be a good thing. Also loved Naruto's reaction to what Raikage said about Minato —rawr. The Raikage's pretty blunt.

Well, this was a complete waste of time. I already hated Minato, and I was already on the fence with Ei, but now I definitely hate him, so this entire chapter revolves around idiots I hate.
